Maybe they have always been going to Orlando, but I had never seen them as an option for my city before today.
Flights can be really cheap, but they seem to only have one flight a day available for my city. Just thought I'd share.

I would be leary of them. Last month a week before my trip I found out by accident that Frontier had canceled my flight home. I went online to purchase my seat assignment and there was no flight found. And I might add that just two days prior I looked at that flight and it was still in their system. Frontier told me that yesterday they decided not to fly on Tues to Cleveland! Um don't you think you need to tell me this.
My sister got delayed in Dallas in Dec because the pilots had flown to many hours and were not able to pilot her flight. She had to wait for them to get 8 hrs of sleep!
DH coworkers son was stranded for 2 1/2 days do to a mechanical problem with the plane.
So we will never fly them again.

Um … Frontier has served Orlando since 1999 … and you don't tell us what city you're in.

What would happen if that one flight a day is canceled? It might take days to get on another flight. I wouldn't fly them.

We flew them out of greensboro a few years ago when they were there for $49/pp one way. We had no problems with them at all and the price was awesome. They didn't have a flight back on the day we needed so we flew southwest home.

They have also been hit or miss in Wilmington, DE. They shut down and just started back up again.

They only fly to Orlando Wednesday and Saturday; I prefer the Saturday to Saturday run, but the plane does not arrive in MCO until mid-evening, where I prefer getting down as early as possible.

Keep in mind when you are looking at 'great' fares, that Frontier will charge you for carryon bags (you get one 'personal' item for free) as well as for checked bags and to choose your seat. For us, it was $8 each to select a seat (so we could sit with our children), $15 for each checked bag. If you don't pay for checked or carry-on bags at check in, it's even more at the gate. Oh and you can't do the online check in until 24 hours before your flight. Not such a big deal at home, but at the resort, I had to schlep down to the business center to print boarding passes. AoA had a bank of computers to do that, but still, it took time out of my vacation.

We each carried one personal item, which was a backpack. On our flight to MCO, I was so shocked that we had to pay to select a seat, that I put it off, and then our only choice to seat our family together was to pay $20 each for the extra legroom seats. Also keep in mind that these fees are only one way, so this added an extra $202 to a family of four. (We took only 3 suitcases for 4 people). Not such a bargain after all.

We flew frontier out of dulles in November. I had been researching it, so knew they are often late and sometimes cancel flights. With only one flight out of dulles I was pretty nervous as we had a cruise the next day. I was happy that we were only 1 hour late departing. Yes you need to pay your bag fees when you buy your tickets for the cheapest price. They do charge more for overhead bins than checked bags. They charge for seats, but the price is small and worth it. I would never fly them home because they don't participate in resort airline checkin so you have to drag your luggage to the airport and check it there. Not worth it to me. When we did our luggage drop off at dulles the line was huge and only a couple of agents. There was a family melting down because they had not allowed 30+ minutes in line to check their luggage and missed their flight. The agents weren't helpful and I felt bad for them. This is when you get what you pay for. If you fly them to wdw don't make a dining reservation for your arrival day because chances are you wont make it and get dinged with a no show fee. Since they don't participate in magical express, everyone had to get their own luggage so the luggage pick up area is packed. Would I fly them again? Maybe, only to wdw and never before a cruise. Thank goodness that trip was insured because it help me keep my stress level down.
