- wow, there's a lot of info on this thread - i'm feeling a bit overwhelmed as a first time cruising family but will try to find some time to catch up on everything and dig in on the details to help us get prepared...

Does anyone know anything about the submarine excursion or the other below water trips? Has anyone signed up for any of these?

We are still looking into going to Las Vegas for a couple of days. Treasure Island has a three night deal for around $285 with all the taxes etc. They said it would be $7 a person for the airport shuttle. We can go from LAX to Las Vegas and then Las Vegas to Orlando for $210 with taxes- not including of course luggage. Has anyone booked anything there yet?

In 2008 we did a semi-submersible on our own. We enjoyed it very much. We had rented a car so that is how we got to the hotel that the tour goes out of. DCL offered the same excursion but this way was less expensive.

What a wonderful thing to do!! On other cruise lines I have seen buy a shirt for $$ and do a walk or a dance and the money goes to a charity. It has been a couple of years since my last DCL cruise so I was wondering if DCL does anything like that for MAW for example?

On the TA cruise this April- Don "Ducky" Williams was onboard and he designed a huge, huge huge mural for the children's hospital in Barcelona. They put a note in the navigator looking for people to help paint this mural.
The mural was divided up into about 50 big square pieces. Ducky had outlined the mural with black and we had to fill it in with colors. They had all the squares in Animator's Palate one morning and a bunch of us went there to paint. It was a lot of fun but the best part -was seeing on the TV on the ship- the mural on the wall at the Children's hospital. Some of the crew and of course- Mickey, Minnie and Goofy went to the hospital to present the painting to them. We all earned our Volunteer Ears but just seeing the mural up on the wall was "magic"

OK DH is not hot on the renting of jeeps in Aruba. So....anyone doing the Banana Bus as seen in LindaBabes siggie??

Anyone book outside DCL? We have a 3 year old so many of the excursions are out for us. ??

Also, the butterfly farm.....anyone been there? reviews?

I am wondering if we can do the banana bus and then the butterfly farm....

OK off to find a map of Aruba!

Happy Monday everyone!

We're thinking of doing the Natural Wonders in Aruba through DCL. (DH prefers to stick with excursions through DCL.) DD is 3yo and DS will be 6 so lots we can't do. But DH and I honeymooned in Aruba so we've done most of it already anyway.

Last PC cruise, when DS was 3yo and DD was 15months, we did the Seaworld Explorer. It was fun, DS loved it. DD got really fussy so I had to take her up and out for about the last 20 minutes of so. If you do this excursion early, you have lots of time after to wander around, head to a beach, go shopping, etc.

He was also on our Mediterranean Cruise but just did some book signing and a talk nothing so elaborate as that. This is just awesome! Our cruise was July, 2007.:woohoo:

Yes, I can get a poll on the cruise website. Once we have the character length, if someone can send me a PM with the options, I can handle setting the poll up.

Cabo ~ Whale Watching

If you have booked this excursion, please PM me with how many people (adults & children) are in your party. I am trying to keep a list of those who have confirmed, so we don't leave anyone behind when we leave the ship. Though PezGato is only about a 5 minute walk from tender pier, it's getting aff the ship I want to make sure we have enough time & are not rushed. Please remember this is an outside company and people from another cruise ship, hotels or just down for the day can book this.

Whale Watchers List: :sail:

Tinkerbel129 ~ 2 adults
Pixie Dust II ~ 2 adults
A Litle Pixie Dust ~ 3 adults

Changed our SWA flight for Jan 4th to go through PHX since it was cheaper than our original flights.:thumbsup2

Hi All,
Thank you all so much for your kind words about Aspen, it really meant a lot! I made it through the weekend by cleaning everything in sight and snuggling with my other two pups! I just can't go near the pool...hopefully I will be able to get over that!
Me 4--we have problems people!!
Nothing new to report on Tink, she must be off to Neverland.
I hope she comes home soon...when you said she was a Border Collie I thought how strange it was that she would leave, but now that I know she has some Brittany in her it makes total sense! They just follow their noses wherever it will take them--But, they have the best noses in the business so I'm sure she will find her way home:wizard:

Well, sorry to say that we broke your "Tinkerbell" theme...my DD, sis, bro-in-law, mom, dad and myself are all going with ya'! Since I am the only one on the boards, you can just say "DCLTravler-6" (adults)
I hope everyone had a great weekend!

P.S. Tami, how was the wedding??:bride:
