I am so happy to hear about Gus! You most be relieved to have one home and I'm sure Tink is on her way. She just has to take care of Captain Hook! No rest for fairies-even the canine version. I will be praying for a speedy return.
Hoping Tink comes home soon!

I would love to participate so please keep me posted on the details.

*Tami, I'm so sorry to hear about all of the drama you have had to endure and I hope tomorrow is beautiful!

*congrats on the house! What an exciting time to be moving...a new home for the holidays.
Great news on your house!
Well, I wish I could post some happy or entertaining anecdote, but unfortunately I am completely tapped. I woke up this morning to find that my older Brittany Aspen, had fallen in the pool and drowned. I motored through work on autopilot and now I have a wicked headache from crying all day. It's early but I feel like I've been up for days! So, I am off to bed to try and rest. Keep your loved ones close and tell them you love them every day (even the furry ones).
Sweet dreams everyone!
-Melissa
Melissa, I am so sorry about Aspen. My heart aches for you. I just got home from our overnight football trip and the first thing I did was give Jasmine a big hug! My neighbors took care of her.
It was a nice trip - long - but I got to be with my dd and dsil who drove up from South Carolina to see their nephew play football and it was so great to be able to spend time with them. We won the game 58-36.

This is my dsil, my grandson,me, & my dd after the football game! I guess victory smiles would be a good name for this picture!

Update on bracelets:

I found a company with resonable prices, $1.50 a piece. I can order adult and youth (don't have deminsions). They will be green with "From WDW to DL with Love" on the front and "January 2011" on the back, with the Mickey silhouette. I will be mailing them out early November, so everyone should have them to wear at WDW and the port. The price includes the bracelet and US postage. If you live abroad, please add an extra $1. You can either send me a check or deposit the money in my Paypal account.

To order, please PM or email (tinkerbellesmom@sbcglobal.net). Include your name and mailing address and how many adult/youth bracelets you want.
Tenya

Thanks for arranging this, $1.50 is very reasonable and that is awesome they can do the Mickey silhouette! I was just curious though, maybe we could have a discussion on the wording for the bracelet? I was just thinking that maybe having something about it being a Panama Canal Disney cruise would be more of a keepsake than just the 'from WDW to DL with Love' phrase, maybe it could say something like 'Disney Wonder PC Cruise 2011' or something that incorporates those details? I'll be ordering bracelets no matter what is decided, I was just thinking that maybe we could pool everyone's creativity like we did with the the creation of the official logo, to have a vote and come up with the best slogan. What do you all think?

I agree, completely I think we'd be able maximize the number of people that want them as a result. I"ll be ordering either way though. Nice Job! :thumbsup2

I still have a few people who signed up for the original SM sign-up and have not confirmed that they recieved thier SM info - could you let me know when you get a minute? Thanks!

For those who signed up this week - I will be sending your info out tomorrow. We had a Girl Scout campout at my house last night and my brain is done for the day! :)

AHHH!! I am getting freaked out about the excursions selling out before I can even book on the 23rd!!!!

We have a family of 6 ranging from DS turning 4 all the way up to grandpa 75 in a wheelchair. There are so few we can all do together and the Cabo whale watch is the "big" one everyone wants to do together and there are only 30 spots left!!!

Ok thanks for letting me vent :)

Are you referring to the excursion that people are chatting here about? If so, that one is not a Disney excursion. You can book now!

Panama Canal Certificates
"The Order of the Ditch"

I am co-ordinating a group buy for the personalized PC Crossing Certificates.

You can see them here http://www.tiffanypublishing.com/certs/order_ditch.asp

It will be the revised version as some of us will be ordering them for our kids.

The cost depends on the number we as a group want. I ran some scenarios and, as a rough estimate, an order of 20 certificates would give an individual cost of a little over $8 each. If we order over 50 certificates, the cost drops under $7. This includes personalization (including the name of the captain if we can get it confirmed in time), postage, any minimum order charges (for 10-50 certificates) and to cover the paypal fees. (I figured the easiest way for people to pay was by paypal and we get charged on every incoming transaction).

Money is not needed yet. Once we have the order in, they will give an accurate cost and I can then work out the exact cost each for everyone and send you the details on how to pay.

We cannot get the captain's signature to print on the certificates, but DCL suggested that we could have them signed during the Captain's signing time which happens sometime during the voyage. Alternatively we could see if we could drop them off at guest services they could get them signed sometime during the voyage (kinda like we do with the pillowcases etc).

I plan to have them sent to me and then I would bring them to the ship to distribute.

If you want to order a certificate please fill enter your details here:
https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=dDZZMU54S21mT1NQX3VNSUY5YmYyamc6MQ

Deadline: I don't know yet, I need to talk to the supplier and will confirm.

I think that is it. Any questions?

Can we get this info on the first post. Jeff do you want to include it on the website too?

Forgot to add, I thought it might be nice to get a certificate to present to the Captain, so on the link for ordering there is a question about that.

Thanks Tenya for checking all this out. We'll be ordering a couple.

Seems to have been a strange week with everything going on. We have our own little oddity to add to everything. DH's dad was indirectly struck by lightning IN HIS TRUCK earlier in the week!

Wow, like you I thought you'd be pretty safe in a vehicle. Glad to hear he's OK. Very scary.:scared1:

OK, youngest DS proposed last night and he is now officially engaged! How the time flies. But, not only do I have 3 sons, I will also have 3 daughters.

Congrats! Enjoy your growing family!

Very nice victory picture, I'm glad you enjoyed your trip!

The Cabo Whale watching most are talking about is not a Disney excursion so you can book it whenever you'd like.

I don't know if I posted this earlier, my mind and body are so tired from my trip, but we have booked the whale watching at Cabo.;). There was no mention of spaces left when I called, but I did get an email about where to meet and time.

I think when the next booking window opens, they open more slots for shore excursions as well as Palo. At least that has been true in the past. Never say anything for sure!!

Hope everyone is having beautiful weather that we have. It is picture perfect.

My youngest grandson plays football tomorrow so I should be pretty well numb from sitting by tomorrow evening!:upsidedow

Just wanted to share this pic of Space Mountain here at Disneyland I took last night. All the colors and patterns were constantly changing. Still it was a nice change. The pattersns and sound effects really made it creepy.

Just got caught up on the last week's happenings. To all of you who have had to deal with loss, lots of  To those who have had close calls , more . Hope everyone has an uneventful rest of the weekend and especially that Tink finds her way home.

Thanks to Tenya and Kay for ordering the bracelets and certificates. We really appreciate your work and time co-ordinating these things for us.

So sorry to hear about your poor dog, Melissa.

Kay, I have put the certificate info on the first page.

Tami, I have put the information on the bracelets on the first page.

I strongly suggest that you DO NOT post a poll on the wording - otherwise it will be displayed at the top of every page from now until the thread closes at 250. We can NOT get rid of polls even after they're expired.

Sorry it took so long to do the updates - I am on the road until October 2nd and only able to check in twice a day.

Congrats to your #3 son, Gail! how to double your family in one year, eh?

I agree with the above. I was thinking maybe Jeff could get a poll up on the website. For wording, I like January 6,2011. Moving day for the Wonder.

Great idea Alan, for suggesting the poll maybe on the website setup by Jeff. If enough people are interested in coming up with suggestions for a poll, it would be nice to do some way, I know its annoying to have the poll posted at the top like Linda said, but it would be a shame to let a technical detail stop us from being able to brainstorm a phrase.

Hi,

Apart from the pirates night, does anyone know what the other theme nights on the cruise will be?
Thanks

Kay - thanks for arranging the certificates - I think they are sooo cool.

Sent my PM for bracelets also.

Finalizing logistics! Its starting to seem real!!:yay::woohoo::banana:

Hi,

Thanks

I'm curious to find out about that, too!

I'm also wondering what entertainment we'll have on the ship. I would expect at least a couple of "headliners" in the Walt Disney Theater, but I'm also looking forward to seeing who gets booked for the Cabaret shows in Wavebands. Hey, wasn't someone in our group in contact with Christiaan, the cruise director? Could you please pass along a request to book Smooth-E? I've seen him on a couple of DCL cruises this year and I thought he was really funny and handled the transition between Family vs. Adult cabaret shows very well.
