Hi Memom, I had to come on here to see who the cake was for...lol!! Jill posted a pic on FB. And I see you added yet more cute SB pics. Love the DVC accommodations and I was thinking as I read it that you would like to stay in DVC but then I thought Memom (and myself) would be happy anywhere Disney...and sure enough...you said that exact thing after the pics...
My trip is getting closer finally...10 months to go. Hope hubby books the house soon...we already lost the week we wanted in August. I checked the website and the house is open this week (and discounted) cause for some reason no one booked it this week. We had it last year during this week....how tempting to just go to Disney spur of the moment.....no planning....but we controlled ourselves and decided to work on redoing the girls rooms
Have a super weekend!
...and Jill I can't wait to see the finished cake!!
The cake was for a friend. She just wanted something simple, so they didn't put on a top layer (it was already two large layers) and she just wanted Buzz on top. Jill did it to be nice after she heard the girl talk about how much a cake was going to cost her. That freed up the cake money for other things, so it was a big help.
I need to work on this house, especially the main bathroom. I just keep thinking if it will hold out for another little while, until I pay the house off, I can take that money each month and start making my improvements a little at a time. We'll see. I need new floors, roof, carpet/flooring, bathtub, painting... I'm just not very disciplined when it comes to putting money into the house, though.
Love all the Stormalong Bay and Beach Club pictures!!! Jill, where did you get your bathing suit? It is super cute!
I enjoyed watching the whole scene from the table. The others sat around in the sand and water and talked. It was a nice evening. We were thrilled to get to see inside a Beach Club room, too.
My school has exactly the same thing!!! Makes no sense. Our Tuesday is staff development but, still, would have made so much sense to have that day off for kids be Monday. We always lament how the folks downtown have lost touch with what it's like to be in the "trenches" and it's these things that concrete that belief for me.
Ah, Beach Club. Love that place. My computer plays pictures as the screensaver and yesterday when I got home from a VERY busy school day the pictures from when we stayed there were cycling through. Ellie was about Brooklyn's age when we stayed there so seeing your pictures combined with mine brought back such happy memories!
We are hoping we can try out the Boardwalk Villas on our trip next October. Walking into Epcot is a dream!!
Have a great weekend!
The people in the offices would do us all a favor by coming back to the trenches occasionally and getting a huge dose of reality.
Looking back at trip pictures always makes me happy. I can vividly recall the Beach Club atmosphere. It is not hard to see why people love that place for so many reasons!
Very fun time in the pool! I'll be there in 7 days, can't wait!!!
I loved your shopping pictures, too - that Popcorn bucket is on my list of "souveniers I want this time" so I am glad to see they've had it there recently.
Happy Birthday to Jarvis!!
I've looked at that popcorn set a bunch of times, too.
I know your next week will be pretty exciting!
SAB looks like the perfect place for a summer afternoon.
The girls look like they had a great time.
I hope the weather is warm enough for a visit to SAB in 3 weeks!
I hope the weather will allow you some swim time.
You get to see Christmas decorations. I'm pretty happy for you - and a little jealous.
Love the pics from SAB and Beach Club. I really love the decor there. I almost switched our ressie in December to BWI but I chickened out. I am attached to staying close to the monorail. Maybe next trip I will branch out. Bella and Brooklyn were so cute playing in the sand! I just finished an exhausting week of work. I hosted a Halloween party last night and Jason and I killed ourselves this week getting ready and cleaning up. We baked over 50 cupcakes and decorated them, baked cookies, appetizers, etc. It was a blast and everyone loved it, but I am so tired!! The boys were Peter Pan and Captain Hook and I was Tinkerbellish (I had a fairy costume that looked like Tink so I went with it). Hope you all have a great weekend. Can't wait to see the cake Jill made!! I love to decorate cakes also (just not more than 50 cupcakes and 25 cookies in one night).
Sounds like times I have had in the past, too - staying up late too get all these fun things in order for your kids. Maybe you can find a little time for a cat nap this weekend to catch up. You'll have to show us a picture of everyone in their costumes.
The girls sure love the water It looked like everyone had a fun time! I love all the Beach Club pictures. Last trip we finally got around to walking around over there and it's so nice. I like nautical/beach themed resorts.
I do, too. I like the tropical feel when I am on vacation.
just catching up after a few days away.
ahh...I am sure Caleb would love the picture of Handy Manny if he was awake! LOL! I actually got him that for Christmas!
I am glad you guys got to swim in Beach Club pool! We stayed there and unfortuantely never made it in but thats what you get with fickle Feb weather! We were just lucky to make it there with all the snow we had at home...we were very lucky to get out at all!
Another reason I love the beach club is the proximitey to Epcot and DHS and MK is easy to get to also! I may not get to go every year but if I save up enough in order to stay at BCV or BWV studio or one bedroom and go every 3 years I think I will be ok!
Caleb very much enjoyed his very first trick or treat getting Candy on Thursday. We dressed him up the last couple of years when his cousins trick or treated but never to get candy before! The thought it was awesome that he would hand his little bucket out and get candy. He would stay there because he did not understand he had to leave and he normally ended up with more because everyone thought he was soo cute.
He went as a rooster! My 10 yr old nephew was supposed to be the farmer riding his john deere riding tractor pulling a wagon with Caleb in it. We decided to go with the farm theme. My two nieces were a cow and a pig. Well a couple of days before Trick or treat he nephew realized his cub scout outing was the same night...so he went to that! So we ended up just being a bunch of farm animals! LOL! THey were still cute! THey got a lot of comments!
He walked the whole town by himself (really small town) and held his little bucket the whole time! He would not let anyone carry him or hold his bucket. I think he thought he would lose it if he did! LOL! By the end it was almost dragging on the ground. In the end we should have brought our video camera because he was just being so cute about it! HE flashed his little dimples and said thank you in his cute little voice and he would get more candy. LOL!
Thanks for sharing your fun. These sweet little simple things are wonderful lifetime memories. I bet all the farm animals were so cute.
Hey MeMom great update! I am happy to report that I am typing this on my BRAND NEW LAPTOP that Denny got me for my birthday!

My birthday isn't until tomorrow but he gave it to me tonight while not much is going on around here. Tomorrow everyone is coming to lunch for my birthday and it will be loud and hectic for sure. Saw the girls in their costumes on FB they looked so cute. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I'll be back tomorrow one year older! lol
Hooray for a new laptop!

I need one badly. This one keeps skipping back a line or two, so I have to type and re-type. I am sure there are still so many mistakes I don't catch. It's really annoying.
I hope you are very much enjoying your birthday weekend!
