From POP to Beach Club?

We are taking an Illuminations cruise at Epcot on the night we arrive. :woohoo: What is the best way to get from POP Century to the docks? Our thought was to take the bus to Hollywood Studios and then the boat to the Beach Club. It will be about 6:00pm. Is there a better way to get there? About how long should it take?

Thanks.

You could also take a bus from Pop to Epcot, walk through to the International Gateway (just past UK), and walk over to the Beach Club dock from that exit (about 1-2 min. walk from Gateway). But only if you have a park pass for that day that you'll be using.

We won't be using our park tickets that day since we won't get checked in until 5:00pm or a little after. We are hoping to grab a quick bite to eat at either POP or the Beach Club and then head out for the cruise.

Outside of taking a taxi to the Beach Club your way is the best. I don't know how long the bus ride to DHS is, but the boat takes about 20 minutes to get to the BC. The stop is actually at the Yacht Club and you then turn right when you get off the pier and walk 5 minutes to the Beach Club. If you just miss a boat you can also walk to the BC in the same amount of time, actually the walk is almost always faster unless you have small children with you.

The only other way I can think of is how we went to the BC last year without park tickets that day - took a bus to DTD from our resort and got on the BC bus from there. Can't really give a time frame as it depends on your timing for the bus at DTD - they usually run more often later in the day. However, looking at my Disney property map, Epcot and DHS are much closer, so your original idea would probably take the least amount of time without park tickets. :goodvibes

DTD busses are far too unpredictable to include in trip planning. Your Pop/DHS/BC way is best, short paying for a cab. The Pop/DHS bus takes about 10 minutes if lights are friendly.

The boat ride from DHS to S/D is between 7-8 minutes. Add load/unload time, then you have another 4 minute ride to YC/BC. From there, get off the boat, and you walk toward the YC, turn left at the end of the pier/dock, and go to the small ticket 'house' at the marina to meet up for your cruise. It would be slightly quicker to hop off the boat at S/D, then walk to the YC marina. The marina is located over at the YC, towards the S/D.
