From Corn Dog Nuggets to Boeuf Bourguignon ~ And everywhere in between! F&W 2013!

Yes. Same exact set up. Just different offerings and much more varied. :goodvibes

The Flower & Garden was a good preview though! :thumbsup2

I remember your trip in April and the food at the booths looked really good, even the shrimp and grits. ;) We booked a trip in March and are really looking forward to it.

YUM! Joining in!

BTW, I recall that China shrimp dish from a couple of years ago - so good!! :thumbsup2

Wow, that shrimp dish looks great. Going to have to give that a try :thumbsup2

Hello!!

Welcome along! I've got so much to share!

Beverages too... ;)

This was soooo good. I will absolutely start ordering this at other establishments now. :)
 So far so good! I love empanadas!!!:lovestruc

Wilma-bride Adore your screen name:goodvibes

Everything so far looks delish :) I can see now Bob and I will be arguing over which booths to go to most of the choices are things he won't touch :rotfl2:

Just leave him in America...burger and fries while you cruise WS ;)

Moving right around the World Showcase, I stopped at Africa and had one of my shockingly vegetarian choices. I had the Spinach & Cheese Paneer Pocket

I apologize for the blurry picture. The sun was so bright, sometimes I couldn't quite see my screen. :goodvibes

This was really good! It was spinach, cheese, and onions...and surprisingly spicy. Like, it made my nose run. The cheese was very mild and soft.

In Poland, I had the Kielbasa & Potato Pierogi with Carmelized Onions

It was yummy! I thought it was funny how the CM did an Oswald on my pierogi. :goodvibes

Hi Roni!!!How's Princess Willow:cutie:

Hi Pas!!!! We are doing well - had an epic two-week WDW + DCL trip in August.

More yummy F&W treats!!! Love hearing about F&W - this was our first year not traveling during F&W, and I missed it!

The kielbasa and pierogi looks delish!!! My DH is Polish and we both love pierogis!! Don't get to have them very often ( well good ones)

I can't wait everything looks so yummy!!

We are planning on doing F&W next Monday - getting there as soon as WS showcase opens and eating our way around for lunch. We made a plan of the booths we definitely wanna hit. Do you think that's a good plan? I heard by mid afternoon it's so crowded.

Getting there for when WS opens is a great plan! :goodvibes

Honestly, I found that during the week was not bad at all. Hardly any lines. Now, weekends were awful and we never tried at nighttime. But daytime on weekdays was perfect. :thumbsup2

Thanks!! I've heard the weekends are awful that's why I planned the one day for Monday.

During my trip, I got to go back and have one of my favorite meals at Disney....the fried chicken at 50's prime time with collard greens and mashed potatoes!!!!

5dbbc70474e9f79be7224e66cbf13a07_zps8d7b5279.jpg

This meal is absolute perfection!!! The chicken is so crispy and tasty on the outside and so juicy on the inside, I don't know how they do it! It's such a hearty down home meal and is just wonderful! I even earned a clean plate award here after dinner! Nothing was left behind. :rotfl2:

Your report is giving me great ideas for the girls' trip I am planning for next year's F & W. :thumbsup2

Awesome! Thanks for reading along! I think you will have a great time. While on my girls trip, I definitely missed my family, it was the first time I had been away from my kids overnight....it was such a great recharge vacation! :thumbsup2

I love Alfedo sauce, but it doesn't always love me....:rotfl2:

Without DH right there while ordering food, I twice decided to live on the wild side and order Alfredo dishes!!! (I wasn't sharing the bed with anyone, lol)

Once at the POFQ food court, which was chicken Alfredo w/broccoli

This was good...and surprisingly hot. It sits in a vat waiting to be spooned out. It needed some salt and pepper but it was filling...

Now, we also traveled down the river a bit to POR where I got there Shrimp Alfredo from the make your own pasta station

This was the far superior Alfredo! Made right in front of my face. I got fettuccine, broccoli, shrimp, garlic and Parmesan cheese. This was delicious. But, there was so much, it could have fed my entire family of four!! I only ate about 1/4 of it which felt like a waste since it cost like $12! :sad2:

OMG I am sitting here with my tongue hanging out the spinach/cheese pocket from Africa and the Keilbasa/pierogi looks so good. Out of all that Bob would only et the Keilbasa & onions. I can hear him now "I don't like it" we fuss every time we go out because that is what he says without even tasting something :rotfl2:

Oh the plate of fried chicken looks sooooo good as does the pasta from the food court ..... Your killing me here

I have 2 ADRs for 50's. have to see which one I can get Bob to go to. he likes the food well most of it just not greens or gravy :sad2: but he hated the server antics when we went there back in '94 :lmao: Yes it has been nearly 20 years and I can not connivence him to go back since he was picked on so bad for not eating his veggies :rotfl:

We stopped for lunch on Friday and Bob was going to get the Strip Steak which came with mashed potatoes and vegetable. They said he could sub fries for the mashed but the vegetable of the day was green beans or cole slaw, neither of which he will eat so he changed and got a burger and fries :rotfl2:

I always tell him I think he needed a smack upside the head when he was a kid. my boys were slightly picky but nothing like Bob

Im not huge on veggies either.....my preferences are spinach, broccoli and corn. I do love collard greens though so that's always a nice treat because you can't get those everywhere. :goodvibes

One time at 50's our waiter was super nice and no antics. This time, our waiter was more into his "role"....I had actually left some of the chicken behind....he picked up my fork and fed it to me....:rolleyes1

The second pic even looks yummier!! Too bad you and BFF weren't sharing the dish!

:rotfl:Same reason Brian won't return, he snuck me his veggies to not get yelled at:rolleyes:

Since I just posted this on the restaurant board, I'll do my review of the Hops & Barley section in America. I had the Griddled Lobster Tail with Garlic Herb Butter.

ce1fb8c52b12c91ad3320eae607b3161_zps1d8ce0e3.jpg

Being a girl who was born, raised and is never leaving New England, I am always worried about ordering lobster outside of NE. This was very good though! The herb butter was delectable! The lobster was cooked well. It was very small though....the fact that I can get a whole fresh lobster for under $4 here, makes it hard to pay $7 for maybe a 1/4 of a tail....:confused3

But it was a tasty little morsel.

Also in America was the American Adventure Coffee Cart where I got the Shakin' Jamaican Coffee made with Kahlua, Vanilla and caramel. I substituted the Kahlua for baileys (personal preference) and it was soooo good! Very refreshing and not overpoweringly liquory....I'm not a big drinker and don't like my drinks to taste like alcohol...weird, I know. :confused3
