My DH would really like AKL or WL concierge but there is no availability for our Dec trip. I have been calling every few days to see if something becomes available. I don't want to call every day but I don't want to miss a cancellation either. Does Disney keep track of the number of times we call regarding a reservation? And, does anyone know if there is a better time of day to call when cancellations might get released into the system. Is it throughout the day as people cancel or are cancellations processed over night and updated into the system first thing in the morning? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I have called twice a day before, once in the am and once in the pm, and it paid off in the past with dining ressies and room ressies

I know they erase reservations that did not have their deposits paid in time at 10 PM. However, they do not appear available till 7 AM the next morning. Your best bet is to call at 7 AM every morning till hopefully you get what you want.

This worked for us in Dec. 06, while we had a last minute trade show at the Dolphin. There I was at 6:50 rolling out of bed to call CRO and what do you know two weeks before our check in date and scored at split stay at the Yacht Club concierge and SSR!

People make reservations and change their minds, dates, and agendas all the time. Keep calling ;)

Although it did not pan out for me last trip, yes, you should keep calling. Infact I was told that by a castmember at central reservations/Disney travel. Also, they said that the reservation system is updated over night and that the best time is first thing in the morning. One other thing you can do is book what ever you can get and when checking in, ask if any upgrades are available. That did pan out for me a couple of years ago, unfortunately, it wasnt a free upgrade so be prepared to pay.

You call as many times as you want! Remember, people can hold a reservation for 14 days..which I think is to long! So rooms will come available periodically....I called at least once a day for almost 2 weeks and I got The CR in a MK view...just be persistant and I bet you will get what you want..these threads are packed with success stories just like mine from people who were determined to get the room/view they wished for! :wizard:

Thanks all!!! Sometimes when I call the Castmembers sounds annoyed. But I guess I will be persistent and call every morning.

You can check on-line as many times as you want during the day. If the room you want becomes available it will show up on line. Easier than going through the telephone 50 questions game each time.

The only issue with the website though, is it is not as up to date as WDW travel or CRO computers. It really is better to call to check for cancellations early in the morning. It can be cumbersome, but worth it if you get what you are wishing for - Good Luck!

Call as often as you want. When I was trying to make a change to my ressie, the CM told me to call every morning at 7 am. Good luck!

I know it is 7:00am....that is the only way I got my last minute reservations last year. Good luck......

Keep trying! It worked for us this past January and we are hoping it works for us again this July - we have to stay at four (yes, that's right four!) different resorts because they don't have availablity, in our catagory for the entire length of our stay, at any of the four resorts. Just know there are other people out there calling them as much (or more! ME! ). BTW, it's fun to hear what names the CM's give you when they answer the phone. We are keeping a list and my kids keep asking who I spoke with today - now doesn't my life sound exciting!:rolleyes1 So far over the past two weeks I've spoken with Gidget, Pebbles, Wilma, Keeley Shay (007's wife?), Druella, Anastasia, Giselle, Andy, Buzz, Julia Roberts, Ginger Rogers, and Aurora. I'm sure they are their actual names - maybe I should request an autograph with my confirmation next time! ;)
Good Luck!! And let me know if you get a good name to add to our list!

Thanks Greenpea. I will let you know if I hear any good names.

I call several times a day to get what I want. I know the general concensus here is that they update once a day and that may be true. However, we live a few hours away and go often - sometimes decide the day of so I call like a crazy lady. I have called at 10 am and been told that nothing was available and then called 2 hours later at 12 and got the room I wanted. This has happened a lot so don't hesitate to call. I don't know why that happens if they don't update but once a day - but it does. My guess is that some of the cm's I talk to don't always know their way around the computer system as well as others. Some cm's give me a quick no and others take a lot of time and look for 5 minutes before they give me an answer. Those are the times that I ususally end up with a room.

when i was changing my mind/losing my mind over adr's ....
calling umpteen times a day is not a bad thing.
it is YOUR vacation and YOU are paying for it.

I change my mind about so much that I tell everyone
it is not weather in New Eengland you gotta look out for, it is me changing my mind!:lmao: :rotfl2:

:goodvibes I also recommend checking online (and calling too). In your ticker it shows "12/5/08" -and in checking 12/5/08 online at the WDW website both the WL and AKL show club level (concierge) as coming up available for at least that night:
WL
Standard Room - Club Level Included
Date Rate per Night
Fri, Dec 05 $ 385.00

AKL
Standard Room - Club Level Included
Date Rate per Night
Fri, Dec 05 $ 335.00

Just an idea but you might go online and instead of putting in your range of dates you might check the rest of your nights on a night by night basis to see which one(s) are causing the lack of availability problem....that will at least give you an idea of which date(s) are kicking out. :surfweb:
