Disney Fantasy still in port

I am on the TA, which is supposedly her next cruise. On the WhatsApp group some says she failed an inspection by the coast guards, that was due before leaving for Europe; and supposedly the ship could leave tonight or tomorrow. And, that this was partly planned by Disney, hence two days at seas and no stop at Nassau which is uncommon.

Not sure what/who to trust, curious about how this story develops.

I’m on the ship. They’ve told us nothing. Literally other than…no worries we will have a sea day tomorrow.
Some crew say it was maintance for Europe. I can tell you at 4 pm all the workers were at the ready to pull the lines…then sat there til 515 and then left. So I think if coast guard failed them they would t have been at the ready to pull out. The crew gangway is still attached and open . I saw a group of maintance guys walk off at like 6. But people keep coming and going.

On board right now (2nd half of B2B)… certainly a weird situation. You could tell a lot of the crew was talking about the USCG coming on for inspections starting yesterday afternoon… And then this morning seemed rushed. Not a bad experience, just a little off / higher stress among staff.

Not sure how to feel about what happened this afternoon… we of course feel kind of lucky to have done a B2B (which has been great, btw)… but do feel for those families who are experiencing their 1st Disney cruise. All on board activities, dining, shows, etc. have run normally… Other than no shopping yet. It was strange seeing all of the diamond salespeople standing around outside their shop around 9:00pm tonight.

Hope the ship is okay for TA and then Europe… first time on the Fantasy (have only been on the wish), and have really enjoyed it.

Not sure when she eventually left but looking at Cruise mapper and the Port Canaveral webcam, the Fantasy has left Port Canaveral. Hoping all onboard have a great trip in spite of the unusual start!

She left at 12:30 am .

We watched her go out on the web cam. Getting on for the Transatlantic on Sunday.

Hopefully all is cleared and she won't suffer any more delays for future cruises, be it the TA or those after in Europe.

We departed this cruise on Thursday Am, not sure what the issues were but our sail a few days prior was great. Other than we all still have sea legs which is weird for a few days after but nobody was sea sick
