Who said anything about drinking the pop !? theoretically, why couldn't you just go in and purchase a fairly large amount of cups at a time, Wendy's wouldn't care since you pay for the pop but only take the cups

I read on another board that a drink would be $1.29 including tax, so I can definately see how it's a great deal for 2 round trip tickets (as long as you are free to travel twice within the year)

Most airlines limit the number of FF seats on each flight and it is very, very difficult to get seats on popular routes - like those that go to Orlando.

I'm not so sure this is a good deal - I'd have to read the rules of AirTran's FF program and see what limitations there may be first.

Here's How To Get Free Flights On AirTran Airways

9. Getting Free AirTran Airways Travel: After you've received your A+ Travel Reward, you may call us at 1-800-AIR-TRAN (1-800-247-8726) immediately to book your A+ Reward Trip. One A+ Travel Reward (8 Credits for coach, 16 Credits for Business) is required for one (1) one-way on AirTran Airways. For roundtrip travel, two A+ Travel Rewards can be used for two (2) one-ways on AirTran Airways. Availability of seats on AirTran Airways is subject to capacity controls and blackout dates, and seats are limited and may not be available on all flights. A trip is defined as travel from a single point of origin to a single destination over the most direct routing between any two cities with published fares and schedules. Once a free ticket has been issued, any subsequent reissues are subject to change fees as per the carrier's contract of carriage.

Upgrading to Business Class: Elite members and customers redeeming for coach travel, you may request a free upgrade or purchase an upgrade with your credit card anytime beginning the day prior to departure, or at check-in if space is available, at a cost of $35 for each nonstop flight ($70 for roundtrip) or $70 for connecting flights ($140 for roundtrips). Free Flights on Other Airlines: Redemption of 32 Credits for an A+ Travel Reward is required for one free coach roundtrip ticket for travel anywhere within the 48contiguous United States served with no more than one connection each way. Redemption of 50 credits for an A+ Travel Reward is required for one free coach roundtrip ticket for travel between the 48 contiguous United States and anywhere in Alaska, Hawaii, Canada and Mexico. Redemption of 100 Credits for an A+ Travel Reward is required for one free coach roundtrip ticket for travel anywhere else in the world served with no more than two connections each way. Free travel on other airlines will not be issued on routes where AirTran Airways publishes schedules and fares. 13. Getting Free Flights on Other Airlines After you've redeemed Credits for an A+ Travel Reward:

1. Call us at 1-888-3-A-PLUS-8 (1-888-327-5878), at least 30 days before your desired departure date, between the hours of 7 AM and 11 PM (EST), Monday through Friday and between 9 AM and 9 PM Saturday and Sunday. Reward tickets will be issued for coach travel, subject to the lowest Advance Purchase Excursion fare published as filed with Airline Tariff Publishing Corporation [ATPCO]) being available on the requested flights. AirTran Airways will purchase on your behalf roundtrip transportation, and arrange for express delivery of tickets to you. Additionally:

2. You must agree to plan an itinerary with a stay at your destination including no less than one Saturday night, and no more than 30 days, using the most direct routing where qualifying fares are available, without planned stopovers or open-jaw segments; and,

3. You must agree to accept alternative airline, departure and/or return travel dates and times, depending upon availability of the lowest Advance Purchase Excursion fares published at the time you book your A+ Reward Travel in the city pair in which you have chosen to fly.

4. Your tickets will be sent via express delivery to the person and address you specify when ordering them, and will be delivered to that address, signature required. Once delivered and signed for by a person at the address you specify, AirTran Airways shall have no further responsibility for provision of tickets.

5. Tickets issued for flights on other airlines enter you into a contract of carriage with that airline, and AirTran Airways will have no further responsibility or liability for losses incurred in connection with your flight on that airline.

6. Remember to give the A+ Rewards agent your frequent flier number on the airline on which you are traveling so that you may earn frequent flier mileage on your free ticket.

We have AirTran direct from Bloomington to Orlando, so that would be great! I read through the exclusions, but I wonder if I'm missing something. Is there anything that says if my DH has an account and I have an account, we can't each earn 2 tickets so we could all 4 fly for free?

From what I read, I see no reason why you couldn't do that. This really is a great deal, though I think I'll be drinking a LOT of pop

My Wendy's gave me a cup today!!

Details say the Promotion goes til February 5! That's more time to collect points! Thank goodness, didn't want to do all of that and Christmas!!

You cannot miss the coupon it is the whole side of the cup!

I think the reason you can't do that is that the flyer has to be the one with the ATA frequent flyer account.

Called our local Wendy's - they're not participating!!!!

Closest location to Pittsburgh area is Grove City (a good 1-1/2 from my house).

Talked to the mgr @ GC Wendy's...she said you have to buy a combo meal to get the cup.
Anyone else run into this?

I suppose I'll be trolling on eBay looking for cups for sale LOL!

Well, we've been visiting the local Wendy's restaurants and most have the cups. I talked with a couple of managers and they said that they didn't hear of anyone not participating, it is probably a matter of when they cups come in based on their ordering.

The cups are available on 20 or 32 oz drink cup or with a combo meal purchase. You don't have to get a combo meal to get the drink cup.

The only thing we realized when we read over the terms is that it is only open to A+ rewards members who are 18 years or older, so even though our DS has an A+ rewards account, we cannot use this promotion for his ticket. I've emailed AirTran to be sure that is the case and will post back what I hear.

We've used our A+ rewards in the past with no problems and always were able to use them on the flights we wanted, obviously, excluding holiday times.
