Oh, man. I was so happy to finally get a person on the phone after holding for an hour (I forget his name but he was super perky and very nice) that I completely forgot to ask if he could put somewhere on the reservation that I wanted a mansion room!! Guess I'll be calling back another day when the wait time will (hopefully) be shorter...like maybe weeks from now, lol. But at least he cancelled my CSR reservation, verified my POR reservation, and transferred me over to a dining person who was able to modify the # of ppl in one of my dining reservations(she was very nice as well). Now off to the resort board to see what they say POR prefers with regard to room requests....

Good luck to all of you still trying to get a POR room. I have a feeling that you will all get it (just maybe not this week, more like sometime later this month when everything settles down)...
 
You are confusing the plus with the regular. If you have the regular, you would have to purchase the meal photo package for the digital files to be added to your CD. The print package and digital files are included with the plus option. This is my favorite place for info on Photopass plus...

After today we are really considering cancelling and not going to Disney for vacation (and this includes a separate room we booked for extended family).

First, let me start out by saying that 4 out of 5 cast members that I have spoken with through Disney reservations in the last month have been very abrupt with no cheer whatsoever. One was a super super nice guy. I always let it blow over and not bother me when someone is just sour or dry but today was just about the last straw with this FD ordeal.

I had a reservation already booked from a month ago, then when free dining was released I could not get through on the phones at all due to all circuits busy, stayed on hold and disconnected and the site was down as well. Finally I was able to make a new online reservation for myself and another for my husband's family (a treat form us that we are paying for) online with FD at two separate resorts which wasn't ideal or what we really wanted.

I FINALLY got through very late today to try to cancel the original reservation and to have a CM properly update the other 2 reservations I had. Before I could even explain the reason for my call I was questioned about how I made the reservations and no no no you can't have more than one, as if I was trying to fraud them or something, then quickly put me on hold and came back said they may have to cancel all my resv and I would have to start over, even though I paid a deposit. He was very rude, kept putting me on hold and I told him so and I ended up talking to guest services. What should have been a 15 minute call turned into a 45 minute call. Guest services did make all the updates I needed, cancelling my original reservation and transferring one of the remaining to our other party...but he read the rules to me as if I were a child and should have known as if all hotels operate this way and I shouldn't have booked these - which I pointed out was not standard as with most hotels you can book multiple rooms under one name and one credit card. I have booked a block of 6 rooms for business travels before.

I don't care if this is the backlash of a very bad way to introduce a FD deal, there is no reason to assume a customer’s intent and be rude to a customer, a repeat customer, without inquiring into why I would have more than one first and the fact I had no way to remedy it quickly.

All I can say is if Disney doesn't want my business then I can certainly go elsewhere. After telling my DH about this he pointed out that during our last stay the CM's, especially at the resort food courts and in some of the park restaurants over the last 2 stays were very unpleasant every visit...just so many sour faces despite our smiles.

I'm going to take a couple of days to calm down and then make a final decision. We were doing a split stay at US anyway (over 12 days) and DH is lobbying right now for the entire trip to be a US/SW/DC/BG trip for our families. We are always treated very well at Loew's hotels ...so maybe that is where we will all go. They were even so nice to save my dates for me with a pin code I had for 24 hrs with no down payment until I called back so I could settle my dates first.

To all you CM's (or CS reps) out there that are nice to people, or even have a slight smile in your voice, it is appreciated as it DOES make a difference.

WOW. I have to call and cancel my original ressie because I booked a second one when FD came out. If the CM tries that crap with me I will definitely be talking to a manager and if they don't resolve that attitude I will contact guest relation's and file a complaint against the CM and the manager. You can book as many reservations as you want and cancel as you wish. If a CM is mad because he has to do more work, maybe he should find another job, because he sucks at his current one. I know how you feel though because I called the other day, before FD even went out, because I needed to change my dates and the CM sound like she had a bug up her butt (probably because she had to do her job on Monday, boo-hoo) but she was actually the first CM I ever got that wasn't very pleasant so I just brushed it off.
 

I'm still not giving up on possibly getting FD for POR, but I'm just so bummed about it. I just looked at "regular" availability for the time we're going and there's MORE today than there was last week. Still no FD availability though. Are they trying to force families of 5 to move up to deluxe? I won't. I'll keep what I have, but I feel let down. And, I get that they don't owe me anything and I don't have to go to WDW for a vacation. I just didn't think it would be so hard to get this discount.

That is frustrating! We had to move to 2 connecting rooms at ASM. Even the highest room at POR would still save us money but I keep checking online (and I've called 3x today) and I can't get anything at all. I am really surprised given how large POR is and am hoping people cancel or Disney releases more rooms.

I mean really, there are limited options for families of 5 and Disney looks kinda silly advertising FD with booming through Sept 15 with hardly any availability.

why does the wdw website never work? sorry cannot display reservations at this time! there are error messages left and right! i dont know why they cannot get that website together????? can anyone view their reservations now?
 
AHHHHHHHHHHH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. You know I always suspected I was being watched but now I know. I can't believe they named that after me. I'm going to have to show that to my wife. :rotfl2:

I was just wondering the same thing. MDE doesn't say anything about our dining plan at all, and I haven't received my confirmation email yet (booked about 9 pm last night). I'll feel much better when I get that email!

I booked yesterday at 9am and didn't receive the email until 4pm today. I called this morning and the CM said it usually takes 24-48 hrs to receive but with all the computer issues yesterday it could take longer. If you don't receive it by tomorrow night maybe call on Sunday. They can confirm everything & resend the email. :)

Just wondering. Did anyone else who had to call and cancel a Non-FD ressie after booking a FD ressie catch a hard time from a CM?

I'm with you there. In fact I wont be able to get back to Disney for a few years after this trip (I want out of my condo and into a house closer to my job).
 
I'd love to know this too. My invoice and emailed confirmation say MYW w free dining but MDE just says my dates, Pop Century Standard, and my price due. Nothing about dining. Neither computer or app. Nothing about a dining plan. It does have my two ADRs linked. But I'm paying oop for those as I'm QSDP. And it does show the new price as the charged me "taxes"

I just wanted to let you know I was talking to my sister and she's going the week before me. She said if you go on disneys uk sit and login there your ress will show that you have dining. I already tried it and my fd was there.:thumbsup2

The site looks different than it has over the last few weeks. The one I had been on showed the my MDE on the right. This one shows Bell reading and the Reservations box on the left. What the heck?
