Ok my fellow DISers a quick and probably newbie question. I'm thinking of changing from POP to POR as they now have garden view and pool view available for my week, Nov 17-23. My question is, what's the difference between standard view and garden view? I only ask because standard view is unavailable for this week. TIA. :)

Good Morning Dis Family.
I know you will all share my excitement with me. Persistance pays off. This morning by changing my check in and check out date by 1 day I was able to move from my 3rd choice resort of Coronado to my 2nd choice of POR.:cool1::cool1:

Now just need to sit down and fix my dinning reservations for that 1 day adjustment.
No to just keep my fingers crossed that we get Magic Bands.

:dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3:

Cool! Good luck w/ the ADRs. :cheer2:

Gardenview rooms have views of plants/landscaping. Standard view rooms generally face toward the parking lots, although some parking lots have plants that somewhat block the views of the parking lots.

I always choose a garden view if it's available. I think it's worth the small increase in rate but YMMV. You can't really go wrong there!

Ok, now I just read on Doctor Disney that folks getting MB's do NOT get KTTW cards too. You can request them, it says, if you prefer them over the MB's. This is what I had heard initially, and then I was reading other reports stating otherwise.:confused3 I guess we will find out when we get there!:rotfl:

I talked to a CM specifically about MB's and KTTW cards for FP and they did not say that I wouldn't get the cards. They told ne I could use the card like a non tester guest.

Now that's a party!

The more the merrier, right? We're all going to Disney!:banana::banana:

Yeah, I read both things up on the site about the MBs and testing. I don't believe it. :surfweb: Too many people are 1st hand reporting back that you get a KTTW card too during testing. He(she?) says in another article that he asks someone at Disney further questions about it.....so we all know that you can ask 20 different people at Disney and get 20 different answers so I hold more stock with what the DIS members are reporting :thumbsup2

Good to know, thank you! Totally agree!!!:thumbsup2

Woohoo! Yeah!

Thanks. I don't think that I will use a TA again. Don't get me wrong. She is very nice, but I don't like waiting for her to respond to my questions? I need to be in charge next time:rotfl2:

Please don't give up on TA's altogether. I have a spectacular TA! I have felt in control of my vacation the whole time. I've never had to wait more than 2 hours for a response from her when I have a question, and usually she calls me instead of emailing. She responded to my initial quote request within 8 hours (I emailed her company in the middle of the night!), she called me to follow up on the quote within 24 hours of her sending it to me. She called me a week before my ADR window opened up to remind me that it was opening. I gave her my wish list for ADR's and she got every one for me! She booked my MNSSHP tickets for me. And, she dealt with the free dining plan release nightmare for 2 days until she finally got me FD saving me $700! I don't think I'll ever plan a Disney trip without her again. Unfortunately, my resort is not a MB test resort, but that is beyond her control entirely. But, she has just recently sent out to all her clients an overview of how MB and FP+ works, in case anyone is at a test resort. If you ever need a TA recommendation, please message me and I'll give you all her info. She really is exceptional at what she does. :)

A couple weeks ago, I emailed Disney about my frustrations with my travelocity ressie and how difficult things are to do. For example, it took me 6 phone calls and 2 emails to get a request for a fridge for DH diabetic meds on our ressie. Also, how I can't get my tix to link, so can't do fastpass+. Long story, but said how, if Disney is going to allow travelocity to do ressies, then they need to have a system in place....It's not like other third parties, where you have an agent to touch base with. Anyway, yesterday when I got home from work, I saw "Art of Animation" on my caller ID. I ran downstairs to check voicemails. There was one from "Audra" telling me to call her back regarding my email. She was gone for the day, so I had to wait until today. I was super, over the top excited bc I thought I might get FD, since that's sort of what I read happened with other posters. At the very least, I thought they have finally found a way to link my tix. So...I called her back today during my lunch, and all she wanted to tell me was the fridge was on my my ressie!!!! Really??? First of all, I obviously knew that bc I put in the email that it took 6 calls and 2 emails to get it. Second of all, she couldn't have just left that message on my machine? I was trying to be super nice bc I thought for sure she was going to bring up the FD. She asked if I had any other concerns....I listed a zillion in my email. I told her about the tix issues and my other concerns that I said in the email. I then asked her if she knew how to link the tix, and she told me it was impossible. She also told me that when you ask for the Disney wholesale dept when you call, they are actually like a different business.....it's not really like Disney...even though you call Disney and ask for "Disney" wholesale.
Very disappointed :sad1:. I was envisioning typing "Pixie Dust" in here today....but not quiet this way. :sad2: The one good thing was I so wanted to tell everyone about my voicemail, but I didn't want to jinx myself so I only told my husband. At least I didn't have to tell everyone nothing happened!

I gave up on even checking into those cards and figured that I will just wait until next year and all is good.

But hey who's complaining. Only four days until I hit the road!!!!!

I am so sorry for your frustrations and wish they could have added a little extra "pixie dust". I am glad you did get the fridge at least for your DH.
:-)

I do know they forward those emails to specific individuals/departments based on the issue, so the fridge deal could have been her area. If there's more than one issue, I don't know if they forward to several or just forward what they perceive as the main issue to just one department.:confused3 Could be a chance you get another phone call addressing the other concerns???:goodvibes

Much better things to focus on!!!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Sounds frustrating. Unfortunately, it can be a trade off going with these types of reservations :( they can't put FD on there, but hopefully they get back you about linking tickets. I feel like I've seen other people have some success?

Thanks. Live and learn.....to always book straight through Disney.
At least one poster who said she linked tix now thinks she linked fastpasses to her old tix...from her cancelled Disney ressie, so I'm wondering if that's the case with the one or two others who said they were linked. For example, our tix from our canceled Disney ressies were still showing up. I called tech support, and they removed mine.

Way cool - I still have 13 days till Mouse Land time.

Okay, I finally have two room reservations at PO RGR garden view. The problem is I have two different arrival dates. My question is, how hard will it be to add a day onto the beginning of one reservation.

I have made these online because of not wanting to take a chance of being on hold and losing them. Should i just call and hope they can add a day?

Thanks for any ideas.
