That wouldn't fit my dates. :( I am traveling 13-21 so maybe there not offering it for the first part of September. :(

Right, but why would the person in charge want to pay overtime for no reason? Plus the OT wouldn't be justified because by 8:00, most people quit calling because we gave up.....:confused3

It's probably not for no reason. I mean all of us know its not being offered today but we keep calling in hopes to get insider info. ;)

And someone said the CM told her the que was 250 people so obviously they are getting a ton of calls.

How does this get Disney more money? :confused3

It doesn't, but it helps management in their travel department justify the call center in a time when more people are booking online. Disney is a large corporation, with multiple entities that likely are looking out for their best interest. Human nature.

It doesn't, all it does is cost them more money. :confused3

I wouldn't be surprised if in the near future Disney really does reevaluate the future of this whole free dining thing. All it does is create more chaos and work for them as people have now come to expect it.

Not meaning to be negative, I'm waiting for December FD too! It's just that every year the wait gets crazier and crazier, and I'm wondering if Disney will soon be done dealing with it all.

Well i'm sure what they are paying in OT is a lot less than what they are making with bookings from FD.

But it books up their rooms. Until they can fill rooms without FD or a special promo, I would think they'd have to keep it up. It sure beats no Disney buzz at all, I would think.:)

I have seen the confirmation. It is dated today, for traveling dates of 9-30 through 10-12 and states magic your way dining - visa.

She got it...no question about it.

Honestly, never doubted her. Too many posts to be trolling.
Still scratching my head as to how she and the other poster got it.
Never the less hopefull for tomorrow. Is it possible that Disney isn't the one who changed the Visa release from Thur to Fri (hopefully).... maybe it was Chase that decided to mix it up this year?

Well, on the bright side.....this gives another day for my replacement Disney Visa to arrive in the mail and I can run more numbers so I know what I'm going to shoot for :).

Good luck. hopefully it will come today! I have been running too many numbers too! Just want it to be final. lol. Went from 5 nights at ASMovies to WL and now maybe 7 nights at POR, but hear it may be excluded. The more days I have to think and figure the worse I am. :) Either way, we're going to Disney, so nothing to complain about!

Hiddy - again and don't faint that I've come out of "lurking" two times today :thumbsup2 we don't go every year and thus I don't lurk all the time. From wading through this thread, there was no special FD offer to DV holders last year? I also am a new'ish (last year) DV holder and I specifically got it because of the offers that supposedly came with it, is why I'm asking -- because the point rewards are rather "suckie" :)

That said: Way to Keep Us on Our Toes Disney! ... now when do those pesky Hallo tics go on sale (no-no really I know ;) I know "they" say May 5)!

Have a blessed day my fellow Disney addicts.

That was my point, the poster stated they had 2 days of OT, for not a release, and my point was this is not cost effective..

So, I'm a family of 5. Was hoping to stay at POR since that was the most reasonably priced resort for 5 people. IF POR is excluded that kind of limits where a big family can stay. I was under the assumption that Disney cannot guarantee connecting rooms at value resorts. Is that correct? So a family of 5is forced into staying at ASMu suites, Cabins, or deluxe resort?? Still crossing my fingers the POR will be included.

This has happened since they first released promotions, always rumors and people calling. On release day, mass chaos is the best thing for them. Why would they not want people calling in droves to book a room.

Besides that, people calling early asking gives them an opportunity to sell then too....they always say go ahead and book now and many do.

Just got my confirmation and it says Magic Your Way Dine Visa at POP . Sent Black a picture for confirmation.

I heard pin offers were dropped today for some free dining dates maybe you had a pin offer that you didn't know about and the cm saw it in your profile and applied it

Those are my exact dates.
Don't sweat it. September is one of the lowest booking months. They will offer some type of discount to fill the resorts.

It just sucks because it ends up being $800 more to go down to a value that way when you factor in upgrade and tips.... and if you keep quick service it's still more expensive than POR with FD.

I think I am just going to hope for a good RO discount at this point.

Our TA said a FD would result in about a $750 savings per couple/room. If you pay that to go down to Value and upgrade, what's the point?

I am still hoping that when GP/FD opens that PORS will actually reopen so there is something other than CS for us. Heck, with all the shifting around, POFQ might actually reopen!!!! Can't do anything but wait and hope. I asked our TA this morning and she said she never heard of a VISA date (she didn't share that at first since we don't have one so the topic wasn't specific to us), but knew the FD was pending, so she is waiting for a gp release and a "surprise" VISA date.:cool1:
