Free Dining 2013 Part 2 ~ The Sequel

Disney will power will get you through. Plus all of us crazies on here will help support you :)

Ahem ... we are not crazies here, we're just avid (note I did NOT say rabid!) Disney enthusiasts. :rotfl2::thumbsup2
But you're right - DWP will get you through & we are all in here to support not only our Disney addiction ... errr, make that enthuiasm ... and each other, too!
:grouphug:

You should be able to do some pricing on Disney website. Just put in how many adults & children, how many days for park tickets (+ whatever ticket options you want). Assuming the pricing does not include any ticket or room discount, that would be the price if you got free dining plan.
I've done some price comparisons before for other trips. I'd start by pricing out the trip using 1 set of options & put the info into a spreadsheet. Then I'd do the pricing w/ different options, enter that info into spreadsheet & so on. I could play with the numbers by adding/deleting the various options, discounts, etc. I also had my daughter's entire wedding planned out in a spreadsheet and a friend's baby shower, too. (I'm an accountant, what can I say? LOL)

Gotcha. I guess I was more worried about which rooms were included during specific times. I am just a compulsive disney vacation shopper at this point...lol. I am trying to finagle another adults only trip during free dining as a surprise for my DH. Thanks for the tips about the spread sheet though, I will use them! :)

Heck, I buy special clothes for the trips so that they can't ruin them ahead of time :rotfl::rotfl: That and I want to pack WAYYYYY ahead of time. I seriously need therapy :lmao::lmao:

Me too! I am really bad. I am already planning her outfits based on park. Ex: lion king shirt and a bug skirt. Even crazier is that I am making a lot of her clothes.

I also don't play the lottery. Extremely unlucky, I'd scratch off a ticket and owe them money lol!

This trip planning has been so stressful. Been trying for PIN, no luck. Then I ended up having to have surgery in May, went complicated during it and went from laparoscopic to major open surgery. Then didn't know if we'd get to go to Disney as I had to use almost all my saved days off from work being off 4-6 weeks recovering, not to mention the bills that are rolling in each day. Begged my Dr to let me go back next week so I could still have enough days for Disney in Oct.

Still hurting and sore, but by Goofy I'm going to disney if I've got to crawl. We've been planning and saving for 3 years, and it'll be our first trip alone just me and my DH. We've always went with my Mom, family etc. so we want to celebrate our 18 anniversary at Disney, alone. But I have to say that luck and pixie dust has not been with us and everything has conspired against us getting to go.

That's the spirit! Some years ago, my DS & his family, DD & her husband & I all planned a trip to Disney together. I'd been saying even before my grandkids were born that I wanted to be there the 1st time they went to Disney. I broke my ankle severely (dr couldn't even cast it right away becuase of the extreme swelling) just 2 days before we were supposed to leave. Couldn't put any weight on the ankle at all, but no way I was going to stay home so we just got a wheelchair from the Disney resort we stayed in. I even managed to ride Space Mountain that trip - shouldn't have done that, I suppose. I was in some major pain by time I got off the ride. Ah well, what I had to do to get on & off the ride provided no end of amusement not only to my family, but to the ride attendants as well. They were all in hysterics! :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl: Gee, what some people won't do to provide a little extra entertainment & get head of the line privileges - Way to take one for the team!

LOL - np - being crazy (especially Disney crazy) is a good thing - helps to keep you from going insane - or at least, it does for me. :joker:

My best friend is going to Disney in September for free dining. Wouldn't you know she got my sought after October PIN yesterday? Torture.

I'm still hanging in there and hoping for something (anything!) for our trip in October. I've talked to some wonderful phone reps, but so far no magic pixie dust has blown my way. Hopefully soon! (For all of us!)

Don't give up last year they told me no for POFQ In November. I had no pin when they opened it to the public I called every day. Sure enough one day they said they had it. Good luck

Can't remember, if my first night is the last night of free dining do I receive it for the whole stay, example Nov 23 last night of free dining offer and my stay is Nov 23 - Nov 30:confused3

According to the current PIN dates, yes, if you check in on the 23rd, you are eligible for free dining your whole stay! Yea!:cool1:

Yes - as long as your check in date is with the date range for the FD offer, you can get FD for your entire stay (up to 14 days). Good luck!

We're at about 86 days till we leave to drive to Disney.
I listen to Disney music, and if my DS11.5 hears one of the big shows start up (Wishes, Illuminations), he yells from whatever room he's in "Don't cry, Mom!!!"

:lmao:

I'm already have Disney packing anxiety dreams. :sad2:
I think the fact that it has been 4 years makes me feel like I'm out of my groove. Is it wrong to take away children's summer clothes in June so they won't get trashed before a Sept. trip??? :confused3

That's funny! My daughter (age 24) wanted to start packing in February.... but then quicklly relized that she will need her summer clothes before the trip.:rotfl: She is very excited ... this will be our 10th trip to Disney World!!!

I just have to tell ..... 100 Days until Disney World for my family and me!!!! Not wishing the summer away... just enjoying the count down!!

WooHoo!!! It will be here before you know it!:banana::banana:

YAY!! We are getting closer too! I know that the summer will be gone before we know it!

Disneyfantotheend, I am doing the pin dance for you! HBGDancermom for you too!

Awesome!!! I have been doing a lot of Discount dancing over here too....
:cool1::cool1:
I really feel positive it is all going to go public soon!

I want to price out some other trips with the free dining pin. However, I called and booked fd on the phone but still never received my pin code. Can someone send me their email so I can price things out or do I need to call them and just get quotes over the phone? I would rather do it on my time. I am NOT booking anything, I just want to price things out. Window shop if you will...lol.

Call and ask for your pin code. Then you can price away!!!!! Maybe you could let me know how availability for our dates is looking too. Pretty please!!!!
