Fox canceled Reunion :(

They aren't even going to finish the season? That seems a waste...

Apparently from the ratings, you and I are the only ones who care!

It is too bad because it had potential. The cast was a strong ensemble, and the writing was getting better. It's definitely no worse than some of the junk on TV.

wait for it on DVD.

I wouldn't hold my breath. From the way this report reads, only 13 episodes were committed to by Fox and produced. The remaining episodes haven't been produced and may not be.

Kind of reminds me of Alien Nation -- ran for one season, ended on a cliffhanger, and was cancelled over the summer.

It's possible the producers may manage to complete the season and release it on DVD, but it's also just as likely it'll never be completed.

I am afraid it will never be completed. I hope they will finish the episodes and put them on DVD because I really liked the show and I want to see how it all ends. :(

Remember how Alf ended? With a cliffhanger..........The Alien Task Force found him and surrounded him. That was the end of Alf

The producers already released a report a couple weeks back when it was first announced that reunion was canceled that stated we'll never know the solution to the mystery and the identity of Sam's killer.

it's fox's fault. They aired a couple episodes then it was on hold for four weeks of baseball, then a couple episodes then another hold. This happened at least 3 times. With a series where you need to see all the episodes it makes it impossible to follow. I liked the show alot. It reminded me of my hs/college years. I will be really upset if they at least don't finish out the mystery.

Like I already said, its already been announced that the mystery will not be solved.

I wouldn't give up hope. Back in the 60s, fan support kept Star Trek from being cancelled sooner than it was. And this was way before the internet and all the cable outlets available these days.

It wouldn't surprise me if the producers are looking at alternatives to make and broadcast the remainder of the season somewhere. It may be on UPN, FX, USA, or another cable network, and may not happen immediately if it does, but I'm sure they're going to try.

I'm just not sure if they'll make the remaining 8 episodes and release the whole series on DVD. I'm sure there were plans for a DVD release at one point. Has a series ever produced any new unaired episodes specifically for the DVD release? The Firefly DVD included three unaired episodes but those were already made.

I watched Star Trek. Reunion was no Star Trek, Mr. Pinobi. :)

I would count on the remaining episodes never being made, nor a DVD ever produced. While there are some one-season series that have captured such attention, such as Firefly, this one doesn't seem to be one of those series.

Don't blame Fox: Blame baseball. If it were more lucrative for Fox to broadcast entertainment instead of the World Series, they would. And despite the baseball interruption, shows like How I Met Your Mother and Bones are doing well.

This was one show that was impacted in a MAJOR way by the baseball playoffs. The ratings weren't great, but were decent at the start. Then the playoffs hit, and it all went downhill.

What I don't get is, if the ratings are so bad, and the show has been cancelled, why even bother showing any more episodes? Just hack it now.

It's probably better then broadcasting dead air or reruns.

I was bummed when I heard that Reunion was cancelled, but only from the standpoint that I was into the mystery. This had to be the worst-written and worst-acted show ever otherwise! DH and I would laugh through each episode because of the bad lines and the bad acting, but the mystery was really intriguing. Great concept for a show...bad execution. I liked this show and I can see why it got cancelled

Agreed. I loved the premise, but hated the execution. I lasted three episodes, before I couldn't take it anymore.

I think another thing that killed it was being on Thursday nights against CSI.
