....
I just joined a photoshare for my October trip. its just BF and I, so I'm not really concerned about other people seeing our silly pictures. this is the third share I've been a part of, and I know that I've never taken the time to look at other people's pics.
I actually like the entire CD of my husband David Cook, and its not because he's my husband. I wish I could make a ringtone of him say "I love you too"--it made my heart flutter!
Remember that Goofy photo.
Do you really want others to see Goofy holding you that way? Still all in all you can be very proud of her.Nothing wrong with bronze either!

What an idiot.I would have LOVED to take DD to the BBB, but alas, she is so NOT a girly girl!! She would have died before agreeing to that. *sigh*
Today was DDs first competitive swim meet. Her team did GREAT! DD, not so well. She came in last in all her races. BUT--there were multiple heats, and she was always in the fastest heat, since she is fast. Just not as fast as some others. Also, she was swimming against much older girls (17-20), and this is her first year.
The important thing is, she had lots of fun. Some of her friends won first place. And she has 3 medals (all bronze) to show for her morning's work! She slept all the way home in the car (45 minutes)--poor thing was pooped!
Next meet is in 3 weeks. Hopefully she will be less nervous and do a bit better.
Hey Ladies:
Had a few days of reading to catch up on.
Congrats to Wendy & Pike's kids for their sports accomplishments.
Thanks LITC for all your ER knowledge.
Well we did our best to boost your economy, but judging by the number of people at the outlet mall, it's better than we thought. Couldn't believe the number of people. We had a great time and ended up in the middle of a Spartan celebration...of course none of us had any idea that their was even a basketball game on.
I also won for the best bonehead move...this morning I was sent to the hotel breakfast area to pick up coffee for everyone, so I had four cups balanced in my hands and when I kicked at the door to be let in one of the cups spilled a bit down my jammies. Didn't think much of it until tonight when I noticed that my right **** (can you say that on DIS??) has now got blisters on it.What an idiot.
Maybe you ought to get DH to rub some aloe on it.
It was her brother's brainy idea and she went right along with it. Anyway, she came in the house and couldn't move her arm. Had to take her out to the redi-care place close by. Thankfully, not broken just a very severe contusion.
And I bet with every meet that she participates in, she'll do better and better.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.I hope your right **** is feeling better.Maybe you ought to get DH to rub some aloe on it.

I second that !!!!! Can't be too careful with burns.
Evening!!!! It was beautiful day here. At least until DD15 fell off her scooter trying to jump over a stick. It was her brother's brainy idea and she went right along with it. Anyway, she came in the house and couldn't move her arm. Had to take her out to the redi-care place close by. Thankfully, not broken just a very severe contusion.
I'm gonna enjoy it while it lasts - cause I'm sure it won't last long.
M&N is back! Sorry for the friend's nephew though. You are totally right, the Big Guy does work in mysterious ways. Glad you were there for them in their moments of grief.

I haven't told her yet. Putting off the inevitable hate-fest. Would you believe my ex is so stupid he says she should be allowed to go?!?! He says "I trust her". Hellooooo? She is 13 years old, emotionally about 8 or 9, but with the hormones of a 16 year old. There is only one other person from the swim team going--a 17 year old girl. Everyone else will be adults. WHY would she even WANT to go???? Anyway, the dumb ex said as long as the parents are there she can go. so I will call and see if they will be there, and if not, problem solved, I'm not the bad guy, Daddy and I discussed it and decided no. BUT if the parents are going to be there, I'm on my own. My BFF said "tell her to call Uncle Bob, and if he says she can go, she can, but if he says no, she can't". And of course, Uncle Bob (who she adores) will say NO WAY NO HOW!!!I hope your right **** is feeling better.Maybe you ought to get DH to rub some aloe on it.
hmmm
Ev OUCH!!!! Hope you're OK!
Took the kids out for dinner to celebrate. DD wanted to go to a local place that we like, and there was a wait--unless we sat in the bar. So we did. It was noisy, only one waiter for like 10 tables, and it took forever. I won't do that again! But she was happy, and it was HER celebration!
BTW, I took my weight loss journal off the DIS. I mean, it's still here up to March 1, but I haven't updated it here since then. My link will now take you to the blog site where I am currently posting. Just in case anyone is interested.

Ev, guess you can't say that on here.Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Hi Magikitty & D&D!!!!
So woke up this morning to 4 inches of snow...it's April for Pete's sake!!! I am so tired of snow...and I refuse to shovel the driveway!!

Everyone...I'm back! I had such a great time. I actually had to come back north sooner than expected. My friend's 60 yr old nephew died unexpectedly so we drove back to PA on the 28th. They stayed at Mom's so I just stayed there too until today. They drove back Sat. But I sure did a lot in that time. It is just amazing how the Lord times things. I was originally going down on the 23 but she told me to come sooner. We did more sooner because it was going to get in the upper 80's for the weekend and we didn't want in the parks then. He worked Mon and Tue but Mon night she said about just the 2 of us going to EPCOT on Tue. He had a ticket that he did not need to sign me in with so he dropped us off at 8:30 so he could get to work and picked us up at 4 when he got off. That was the day they found out her nephew died. She didn't have her cell so he could get us on my cell. He told her when he picked us up. She was very upset... he was more like a brother to her. She said she was having a great time while they were trying to get hold of her. Later I told her it was probably for the best. She could not have done anything. Since the services were not until Sunday and Monday, we had time there yet for them to get things organized to be away for a week. She was very glad I was there. She really is an organized person and she just could not get it together. I kind of talked her through getting things done. We had some times while they were here too to do things and visit that hopefully made a rough time a little better. I'll write about more that we did later. I have a lot of things to get done.![]()
I do need to address the race...what was that number 18 thinking when he hit my 88? Poor Jr was getting better too!
