A couple questions for you experienced Disney visitors.

1. My mom said she read somewhere that Disney charges a fee to use credit cards. Is that correct? I can't seem to confirm this anywhere and from what I remember this wasn't the case last time I was there but maybe I just didn't notice. Not sure.

2. How do you recommend paying for things at Disney? (credit card, cash, travelers checks). Any tips on organizing your money?

Unless you are coming from outside the US...there is no fee to use a CC. It's probably one of the safest ways to pay at WDW.

We attach our CC to the room and then charge EVERYTHING to our room (tips, OOP expenses, souvies....everything). We then have a print out before we leave WDW of everything that we are being charged for. If any weird charges came up when we got home, we had proof of what we charged. (not that this has every happened but it feels safer). When we get home, we pay the CC charges that week.

We only use cash for tipping bell services and getting sodas out of the machine.
