And, honu, how's that sinus infection? Did you ever get in touch with your doctor?

It's getting better. Thanks for asking. I did get in touch with the doc by email. I'm on my second round of Cipro for it. Hopefully this will be the last round. They are nasty little buggers! I've never had one before so I had no idea how hard it hits you. Wow!

My biggest worry right now is that we don't have a cure. I know I'm supposed to wait 4-5 months before we can really start saying yay or nay, but I've just been noticing a few things that were gone immediately after surgery that are returning. I hope it's because of the high dose steroids, but my intuition is telling me otherwise...

For now, I'm just going to keep putting one foot in front of the other every day and hope for the best.


OMG, I think some of you will get a laugh out of this. My family and I went to a home and garden show today. They were giving out free compact fluorescent light bulbs. I really wanted to ask them if they came with a free Haz-mat suit...

So I guess you can see that my sick, twisted sense of humor is still somewhat intact.

We went to a Mexican restaurant for lunch (I had a very yummy carne asada) and since I had a birthday sticker on, they came over, stuck a giant sombrero on my head, and sung happy birthday.

I want some, too, but since it just opened DH says it'll be really really busy and we probably won't get in.
The sombrero picture...yeah, in it my face is red. It was a complete surprise and the restaurant was full.

OMG! Embarrassing! I hate when the restaurant is full and that happens.

Am I the only one who had their heart ripped out tonight watching Deadliest Catch? Listening to those guys stories, I was almost in tears. I can't even imagine it.
