Well, she still likes to "sniff" a little too much, but she is back to barking at the robins from the sunporch (just had a bark fest a few minutes ago).

Which veggie do you use as a meat substitute in the sauce?

for me, morning star farms makes the best meat substitutes. there is one in particular that i use for tacos and lasagne and stuff like that...it comes in a zip-lock bag and is called "starters". looks like ground beef and has a pretty good texture. they have starters for faux chicken slices and faux steak slices, but the texture is grotty.

awww...sweet little fur friends.

we had a VERY short storm today, despite the warning of a 48 hour "big" storm. the one clap of thunder and lightening caused all the kitties to run for cover in the closet. i look in and there are all these sparkling eyes and cute little noses staring out at me. little nutties.

It's packed away in a box right now, but basically it's a spinach lasagna. I haven't made it since I moved here because we don't have enough shelves for our books. LOL
