I kind of like being a temp,as then I can pretty much take whatever time I want off

If I am hired....I have to submit request..which I know my will okay...but if I want to take off for things for Trent sschool, too..I might run out of paid time off.

However...she told me...I can work a couple extra hours on other days to make up time I want to take off..if I Have no vacation time left

anyway...Just want an answer......tired of being strung along all this time


I have only stayed because my boss is awesome. THe job is great. Flexible hours. 5 mins from home and Trent school

Oh I totally understand. It suonds though like you have been given a lot of information should the job become permanent. I can't see you having a problem taking time off and making it up an hour here and there if you do get hired. They seem like really nice people. That is the same as McKesson when I was there, they were flexible, the boss was nice and I liked the job and though I was a temp they treated me like permanent employee!

These days corporate is tough because of the economy. So just hang in there, ask your boss from time to time but don't push it right now as you want to keep your job.

Hey! It is me! Your long lost Love! I've tried to use Tomato's laptop a few times to log on but I hate that thing! It is so tiny and for some reason it doesn't like the wireless here in the apt and it locks up all the time. So frustrating! Anyway, we got a new laptop today!! I'm so excited to finally have one of our own! I can't believe we have gone this long with one desktop for all 5 of us!

Like Sharky already told you, we are in the apt and it really isn't that bad. It's a nice place. NOT that I want to stay here forever! Abby is enjoying the bedroom... she calls it her "suite" because it has it's own bathroom, like a master bedroom.

The move was okay and the drive down was uneventful (very boring!). Abby cried for the first hour we were in the car because we left a very heartbroken boy in our driveway... her very good friend Eli. That was hard, it made me cry too. But they have been on the phone everyday and he wants to come visit us. Hopefully they will stay in touch.

We are moving into the new house in 2 weeks. We can't wait for that! We've been busy shopping for stuff we need. I get to buy my first brand new refrigerator!

So, what have I missed? Anything earth shattering?!?!

LOVE!!! So glad things are going well down there. So sad about leaving Eli in the drive way Hopefully they won't lose touch like you said. Yay for a new laptop!! That stinks that Tom's laptop wouldn't work well for you. And yay for a new fridge!! Can't wait to see pics of the new diggs!!

We saw The Ugly Truth and we both really enjoyed it! Mike thought "chick flick" and came out really glad he saw it and he said that was a really great well made movie

Hey all how have you been??

I Just made it home from 42 hours of driving over 3 days!!!.......Took my daughter to her grandparents home in Colorado....then they leave in a week for Arizona to their winter home where my daughter will go to college there and live with them......
It took 21 hours from my home to theirs....I was at their house approx. 20 minutes (my ex in laws) then headed home.....a long long trip....I went through Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska then in to Colorado.....
Colorado is awesome.......go there if you ever get the chance!!!

Now, most important.......we are booking a Disney trip for Dec. !!!! We will get the free dining promotion and I will for the first time get to see Christmas lights at Disney!!!!!!! Just DW and me are going........I have 2 friends from work who are going the same time and we will probabaly be staying at the same hotel----POR !!!!! We arent going together but we are planning on doing a big dinner at Ohana!!!! One of the guys knows very little about Disney, I have been helping his wife with the trip.....He said he cant believe he is talking to a grown man about websites like Mousesavers and WDWINFO !!!!!

I spoke to LOVE last night while driving home.......she might come and spend a few nights there with us at Disney!!!!........BTW, her laptop is in the shop!!!!

And we went to the concert. Left after 5pm and got there by about 6:25pm. If you have ??? about the concert, just ask and I'll get to them later tonight.

Overall: 4/5

Since we were in the nosebleed section, we didn't really get to 'rock on'. Everyone stayed seated and if you stood up then the people behind you got upset.

The first 5 acts were average...some worse and some better. They should have done more duets/trios and group songs for the 'bottom 5'.

Then Matt took the stage and he totally transformed the concert. Allison was great. Danny was good. Adam and Kris totally rocked it out!

Here's my outfit including shoes! I decided to just dress like I came from work, since most other folks would be doing the same.

The Reader's Digest version of what was wrong was, first our air conditioner went in this God awful heat and humidity. Suffered thru the weekend and made an appt for 1 PM MOnday, left work at noon to be there by 1 and lost 4 hours work. Of course he didn't come at 1 so called and the tell me I don't have an appt for 1 PM, told me the tech I talked to Sun didn't have the authority to make an appt. Said they could squeeze me in by 5, so he came at 5, told me it would be $615 but recommended new unit, gave me all this double talk about why but I stuck to my guns, said give it the $615 band aid, just get me air, so he did. He overcharged as taht shouldn't have cost more than about $300. Next day I go to work and I have a flat, so have to wait for roadside assistance which took an hour so lost another hours work. I dropped the tire off, went to work, had to leave at 4 as they close at 5 to get my tire, lost another hour work. Last night made myself some eggs, went to use the toaster over to make toast, it too is broken. Thought it was just the outlet but plugged in a fan but that worked. So I decided I should go to bed and not get up till MOnday, lol.

Are you getting the free dining at POP?? When I called it was quick service free dining at Value, but you can pay the diff. ($10) for the reg. dining plan.
Or you can get a very good deal on room only rates.

ELI UPDATE... he is flying down next week, Thursday and staying until the following Tuesday. Abby is ecstatic about it! The boys are pretty excited too... they love him almost as much as Abby does. And my mom and my step-dad are coming that weekend too. Looks like I'll have lots of people available to unpack boxes for me!

Hey Everyone, once again I've been AWOL. Then I went camping for the weekend and last night I got on Facebook and well, I never got off it. Sorry

Love, the new fridge is awesome, I love it!! Great that you got a $1,000 gift card from the Realtor, that was a real break. So Eli's coming (that's an old song, lol) and now he wants to be boyfriend and girlfriend, how sweet that is, young love is so cute. Sleep with one eye open and be glad he lives in NC, lol, you wont' have to worry because most of the time they will be far away from each other. That is great a lot of people are coming and can help you unpack. I hate that job.
