I texted LeeLee today since have not seen her around lately.

I thought I give you all an update:

She said they are okay. They are just real busy and their internet is still out

Shannon had kidney call # 30, but not match :sad2:

Braeton is fighting some weird allergy thing

Lee Lee said she is just thankful no one is the Hospital

God is still on the throne

:grouphug:

So, Steve took Trent's pee to be checked again this morning

It still looked same as yesterday with blood :sad2:

We told the doctor about him having trouble "to go", too and she said that could be because of kidney stones.

So she said she wanted him to have that ultrasounds today or tomorrow.

So I called and got him an appt for tomorrow at 3:30pm.

I will keep you all posted and let you know what they find.

I am thinkin with ultrasound, you get results right then. I hope I do not have to wait until Friday for them. We shall see

Thank god..He is in no pain..Bless his hear

Thanks everyone for your prayers. We appreciate them

:grouphug:

I've been so worried about him. I'm so glad your appt is tomorrow. I couldn't wait much longer. I hope and pray he doesn't need surgery and that if it is stones they can be dissolved through medication.

thanks to everyone for all your good wishes and prayers for my little sweetheart!!!!:lovestruc

Glad you checked on LeeLee. I was talking about her the other night to Nikki I think, wasn't it you Nikki? We were wondering where she was and how she was. So, thanks for the update!

Anyone want a dog? :headache::mad:

Well it is according to what he did, lol. I have my own reasons for wanting to get rid of ours too, not really but he makes me mad. He's been peeing on the floor in the dining room. We are home and up and he doesn't come find us if we're in the other room, just lifts his leg and goes! I was so mad at him, I drug him over to it and pushed his face it in and yelled "NO!" So now it's back in the cage for him whenever I am not in the room.

Dogs can make you so mad yet you love them so much the rest of the time. I can't wait to hear what yours is doing wrong.

Many thanks!!! It was a nice quiet day ... which after having my parents, my sister, her husband and two boys aged 10 and 12, plus my family for 3 days ... a quiet day was a wonderful thing!:goodvibes

Rachel comes back either next Monday or Tuesday...my family wants to add another day.

Nope, Elie decided she wanted to eat at 9pm, 12:30am and 4:30am....oh well. At least one night of 8 hours sleep was heavenly!:cloud9: More will come in the future.

Yeah, there's a part of me that says, 40 is nothing...and another part that says...wow, 40 may be halfway through your life...

Thanks!! Yeah, she is having a great time. So excited about everything. I definitely made the correct choice to let her go.

Thanks! It was a nice evening out ... even if Elie was along with us...still good to get out. I'm looking forward to the American Idol concert even more, since we won't have any kids with us.

I wrapped my own present (the tickets) and opened them up during our party. Jerry was definitely surprised but I'm more excited about going than he is...

Happy Birthday Marshay! I'm sorry I missed it. I haven't been on the DIS. I knew it was your birthday and then I never got on. I didn't forget you though, just didn't get around to getting online.

I like how you got what you wanted for your birthday, buy it wrap it and open it in front of Jerry, LMAO :lmao: Good move girl!

I am excited for you to get to go tot he concert!!!

Happy birthday Marsha!! Sorry I missed it. Don't worry about the age thing. I know that 39 stressed me more than 40 I am not sure why but it did.

Me too Michele, don't know what is wrong with me lately but I just am not organized like I used to be.:confused3

Speaking of the age thing, 39 didn't bother me, 40 didn't bother me, even 50didn't bother me but this birthday, 60, well that bothered me somewhat. Not real bad mind you but enough. I know my life is way more than 1/2 way over and thats a depressing thought and I can start seeing wrinkles and things I don't like, sigh, the alternative is worse though so I'll deal with being 60. :sad2:

So

I noticed Trent had been urinating more frequently and then when we were away this weekend, he had two bed wetting accidents

He has not had an accident in forever,so I had feeling something was going on

Then he started telling me his urine was hot.

I thought he had a bladder infection

I called dr and I happen to have a urine container(new one that steve was supposed to use on testing he needs done, so I used his and will get one later to replace it)

Anyway, after forever, got him to pee and took him to dr.

THe dr said no bladder infection, but she did see a fair amt of blood in it

She asked if he complaining of any back pain or had fever and he answered no to them which is good, as that is a sign of a kidney infection

So she suggested he might have kidney stones, as she is seeing that more and more in young kids :scared1:

So, I have to bring back a fresh urine sample in morning and they will test it. If no blood, then probably a virus.

If he does have blood, I have to take him for an ultrasound, which should be fairly easy

However, I will have to take him for bloodwork. He has never had blood work except when baby.

One time when he was in hopsital, The nurses tried to give him an to give him meds and he freaked out so bad,

The nurses missed his veins like 3 times, before I stepped in and told them to get heck away. I gave him his medicne via mouth :headache:

So has anyone taken their kids when they were little to get blood work? Any tricks or just hold him super tight like I do when he gets shots?

So I did some research on a reputable site, Duke UNiversity and feel a little better now

They said it is very common for children to have blood in their urine. It causes no pain. They just have to have annual urine tests to make sure they are okay. They call it hematuria

Most kids outgrow it

Here what I copied from website:

While this might seem scary, most causes of hematuria are harmless. Only a very few children who continued to have hematuria had serious kidney problems. The vast majority remained perfectly healthy and the blood disappeared after a number of years."

So, can I just wanted to ask that everyone say a prayer that it is nothing serious and that he does not have kidney stones

Thanks so much

:grouphug:

Ahh ok now I understand what you were telling me last night. When we are both on our cell phones I have trouble understanding some of what you say, it's not clear. If one of us is on the house phone it's okay.

Well let's hope it is nothing serious and they can fix him right up and they don't have to take blood. Maybe they can sedate him for blood work, not really knock him out but give him something to keep him reasonably calm????

You know I've been praying since you told me and will continue!!!!:love:

I'm just glad he's not in pain. But hope they can figure out quickly and without too many tests for the little guy.

And Kelly, try not to be too stressed out. God is watching over him and he'll be okay.

thanks for the update! Poor B, dealing with so much at once. Glad everyone is okay besides that. I hope she comes back soon

oh gosh I know what you mean. Mine have to be caged during the day when we aren't there and most of the night too. Can't trust 'em.

Geeeeeez Marsha! I never thought of it that way.

Now I'm depressed!

:lmao:

Sharky~ I just wanted to say I hope that everything is okay with Trent! I'm sure it's nothing serious or he'd have other symptoms.

Abby had to have blood drawn a couple times as a toddler/younger child. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I was very upfront with her. I told her it had to be done, very matter-of factly. She asked if it was going to hurt and I was truthful and told her that the poke may hurt a bit. I told her that staying still was very important so that it didn't hurt worse and also to keep her and the nurse safe. I think the fact that I didn't spring it on her helped. She knew it was coming. She wasn't happy about it but she didn't put up a big fight like I was worried she would. I don't even think she cried when it was done.

That was smart to warn her Love and be very open and honest with her! I'm sure it made all the difference!

I really hope he doesn't have kidney stones. Those are really painful and kids shouldn't have to deal with that.

Not a lot of people know this, but when Kyleigh was little, I used to have to take her to Children's Hospital all the time. Go figure, she had problems with her brain. Anyway, she was always getting blood drawn. Even got an IV and had to be put to sleep one time for them to get an MRI. She only freaked out about the needle once, and that was when she was really small. The nurses were calm about it and tried to distract her, but she did need to be held down so she didn't hurt herself trying to rip the needle out. The biggest thing is for you to stay calm. If you stay calm and let the phlebotomists do their job, he'll be more inclined to stay still and not freak out himself. Don't worry about it. It is only a little pinch and it won't hurt forever. Make sure you have a talk with him first, like Love said, and make sure he knows that.

Nikki I had no idea Kyleigh had those problems when she was little. She sure went through a lot but there's no sign of that today. That's great!

Thank you and Love both for your suggestions as I know they will help. Good thing Mom Mom isn't there. I'd be crying if they were hurting my little guy.

Kelly, don't be like me, be strong, be firm and let Steve hold him down so he hates him instead of you, LMAO ! :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

..here's one of the better moments:

ChanceMerlin-1.jpg

We kept trying to get Chance in his bed, and he wouldn't go lay down. Then Merlin jumped in. And in goes Chance after more coaxing (we thought Merlin would jump out but he didn't). It was so cute I had to snap a pic. I couldn't have picked a better moment to snap, they were both looking at me! :cutie:

oh gosh I know what you mean. Mine have to be caged during the day when we aren't there and most of the night too. Can't trust 'em.

I just feel so freakin bad because its such a long day for him in his cage so thought he could be trusted, but I was wrong so back in the box. LOL. What really makes me mad is I was in the bathroom and he always runs in there if he thinks there's an animal outside and he wants out to get at it. So why wouldn't he run back to me to have me take him potty? Now he's paying for it as he spends 8 to 9 hours a day in a little box, I mean it's big enough he can move around in it but he can't go get food or water or anything.

That is such a cute picture. That's the same one you texted me but I could not see the little one in the text photo as it was too small. They look adorable together.

It is POURING outside, and I have to leave in this mess. Thank God I have my umbrella. I may wait it out in my car if it's bad enough. Good thing I don't have too far to drive home. Hasta la vista muchachas!

Oh believe me, he did get a major whoopin'! A big ol' can of it! :rotfl: We don't have a crate for him because he got too big for the one we had ~ which was borrowed from a friend. He does that when we are all at home!!! The boys were sitting right there watching tv while he was munching on my ottoman!!!

I do know that taking big long walks or having big long play sessions with him does help but honestly, I don't have time for that every day. The kids are just gonna have to step up and help out with that, I guess. Something's got to give or I'm going to need all new furniture soon.

I really don't see how it can be fixed. I just turned the damn thing around so that side faces the chair and a half it goes too. :sad2:

That is exactly what I logged on for!

I'll have to check back in awhile though. I'm running to Trader Joe's! I gotta stock up on my favorite wines before I move..... no Trader Joe's in PCB. :sad1:
Your dog is an attention ho!

Aww, that sucks that it can't be fixed. I guess your upholstery on it matches the upholstery on your other furniture, huh?

What?? Once I hit 30, I started going backwards. I figure I'll start aging again when I hit 18.

:lmao:, that's so mean!

As many accidents as my children have had (and there have been many), I'm usually the one to take them to the doctor or the ER, wherever it is that they need to go at any given moment. My mom was with me one time when Shane was maybe 18 months old or so, I think I was pregnant with Kyleigh. Anyway, we were making soup for him and Tyler at my mom's house and both just happened to turn around for a split second. In that time, Shane grabbed a bowl of hot soup off the table. He was sitting in his high chair at the time, so he had to stretch to get it. Anyway, it went all over him, burning his stomach and his legs. My mom immediately started to freak out.

I had some medical training in college, so I just grabbed him and got the hot soup off him right away. I may have told my mom to shut up because she was scaring him. Then, I took him to the doctor. Ever since then, I've noticed that the more calm I stay, the less scared the kids are. So that's always my advice when someone has to take their child somewhere they don't want to go or have a scary procedure done. I don't want to sound like a know it all, but it really does work.

Aww, I did get your picture you sent me. I had my phone off and didn't realize it so I just opened it up this morning. That is so cute. It is amazing how big one is compared to the other.

Girls ~ When Kyleigh was born, she had fluid in the subarachnoid space above her brain. She had lots of monitoring because they thought it would turn into hydrocephalus. Luckily, the fluid dried up and she is a-okay now.

Nicole~ I would be sooo mad at that dog. I can't believe he did that. Can it be fixed?

dang what a thing to find out right at birth. Glad she is okay :goodvibes

No problem girl

I hope they get it worked out too:thumbsup2

Sharky~Glad Trent is at least not in any pain! And thanks for the Leah update. I feel so bad that they had yet another disappointment with Shannon.

Tat~ "God is hogging the potty!" :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2::lmao: I love it when you say what I think!

Cheri~ your doggies are so cute! It cracks me up that Chance is SO BIG and Merlin is so tiny!

QM ~ If your dog just started peeing in the house you might want to take him to the vet. My sister's puggle started doing that and they found out it was an infection of some kind making him do that. Just a thought!

Carla~ How is Chris coping after the sad news about his Grandma? I hope you are both holding up okay.

Hello to everyone else! I hope you all had a great day!!!
