So I was here earlier and got all caught up and quoted everyone and then when I went to post it just would not GO! :headache: Grrrr.

Going from memory ~

UJ - So when are we going? :confused3 And I don't know if y'all are gonna fit in my guest bedroom! :rotfl2: I guess I could put in several bunk beds instead of the queen I was planning! It could be like a little dormitory in there! :lmao:

Sharky - Your trip looked like lots of fun! Ghost and all! Trent is such a cutie! :lovestruc

Carla - Glad you were alright after those storms! It was nice that Tom got to stay another night though... even though we had to ALL get up at 3:45 AM to take him back to the airport this morning for a 5 AM flight! :scared: We took him and then went home right back to bed!

OH...

and I have a little bit of news............

WE GOT THE HOUSE!!!

:woohoo::yay::banana::cool1::banana::yay::woohoo:

well that is nice that you guys got to spend another evening with Tom! :thumbsup2Bummer on having to wake up so early but at least you got to go right back to bed when you got home.

And these little guys don't express my excitement for you but :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:I'm SO happy for y'all!! Now you know we MUST have pictures of the new place at some point chicka.

Oh I thought it was same one....

I hope that is it for now....they are worst :goodvibes

Fo shizzle!!

So since you are at Pop now, does that mean you are not using pin code and are doing free dining instead ? popcorn::

well...I actually didn't switch yet. I wanted to:
A) wait til I get paid this Friday b/c I know there will be a delay in getting back the $200 from the already booked trip
B) maybe maybe there'd be a chance of him changing his mind again and we could stick with WL
C) and Pop seems to be booked for our dates so we're gonna have to book AS -- Sports probably, since it's the first bus stop. Hoping someone cancels at Pop before I have to do that. :sad2:

Thanks to you too Carla! I am really, really happy!

What is everyone up to today? I've had people coming and going all day today ~ getting some minor repairs done that they found during the inspection that Tomato just didn't have time to do himself. They are finally done with it all. I am going through all of my closets and drawers and then the dreaded attic to make sure I am not moving anything I really don't need ~ like wool sweaters! :rotfl:

I was looking at my saved PMs as I know there was another birthday coming up and I see it is today

So...................

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR MARSHA

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

party::bday::bday::bday:party:

Many thanks!!! It was a nice quiet day ... which after having my parents, my sister, her husband and two boys aged 10 and 12, plus my family for 3 days ... a quiet day was a wonderful thing!:goodvibes

Hey Birthday girl

I was just "talking" about you, or should I Say posting a few posts back:goodvibes

So glad you had a nice birthdya

That is awesome that Rachel is doing well on her trip. How long is her trip?

Oh awesome gilr!!!

Hope she keeps it up for you

Nite nite :cloud9:

Rachel comes back either next Monday or Tuesday...my family wants to add another day.

Nope, Elie decided she wanted to eat at 9pm, 12:30am and 4:30am....oh well. At least one night of 8 hours sleep was heavenly!:cloud9: More will come in the future.

Happy birthday Marshay!

Don't worry at all about turning 40 next year. It didn't bother me a bit!
(:rotfl2: Let's see how fast someone calls me a liar! :rotfl2:)

Yeah, there's a part of me that says, 40 is nothing...and another part that says...wow, 40 may be halfway through your life...

okay,...I lied. One more post.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARSHA!!!

and soooo glad DD is doing well. I giggled when I read she was running around screaming she loves Myrtle Beach. :goodvibes

Thanks!! Yeah, she is having a great time. So excited about everything. I definitely made the correct choice to let her go.

Happy Birthday Marsha!!! Sorry I missed saying it yesterday! Glad DH treated you to a yummy dinner and dessert! :thumbsup2

Glad Rachel is having fun! :goodvibes

Thanks! It was a nice evening out ... even if Elie was along with us...still good to get out. I'm looking forward to the American Idol concert even more, since we won't have any kids with us.

I wrapped my own present (the tickets) and opened them up during our party. Jerry was definitely surprised but I'm more excited about going than he is...

Happy birthday Marsha!! Sorry I missed it. Don't worry about the age thing. I know that 39 stressed me more than 40 I am not sure why but it did.

Thanks! That 'last year to say I'm in my 30s' does have a bit of sadness with it...but I also felt that way at 29, too. Guess it's just another milestone...

No worries...I'm not stressing over it...just does make me pause to think....

Oh awesome

very soon

Way to go :woohoo:

So

I noticed Trent had been urinating more frequently and then when we were away this weekend, he had two bed wetting accidents

He has not had an accident in forever,so I had feeling something was going on

Then he started telling me his urine was hot.

I thought he had a bladder infection

I called dr and I happen to have a urine container(new one that steve was supposed to use on testing he needs done, so I used his and will get one later to replace it)

Anyway, after forever, got him to pee and took him to dr.

THe dr said no bladder infection, but she did see a fair amt of blood in it

She asked if he complaining of any back pain or had fever and he answered no to them which is good, as that is a sign of a kidney infection

So she suggested he might have kidney stones, as she is seeing that more and more in young kids :scared1:

So, I have to bring back a fresh urine sample in morning and they will test it. If no blood, then probably a virus.

If he does have blood, I have to take him for an ultrasound, which should be fairly easy

However, I will have to take him for bloodwork. He has never had blood work except when baby.

One time when he was in hopsital, The nurses tried to give him an to give him meds and he freaked out so bad,

The nurses missed his veins like 3 times, before I stepped in and told them to get heck away. I gave him his medicne via mouth :headache:

So has anyone taken their kids when they were little to get blood work? Any tricks or just hold him super tight like I do when he gets shots?

So I did some research on a reputable site, Duke UNiversity and feel a little better now

They said it is very common for children to have blood in their urine. It causes no pain. They just have to have annual urine tests to make sure they are okay. They call it hematuria

Most kids outgrow it

Here what I copied from website:

While this might seem scary, most causes of hematuria are harmless. Only a very few children who continued to have hematuria had serious kidney problems. The vast majority remained perfectly healthy and the blood disappeared after a number of years."

So, can I just wanted to ask that everyone say a prayer that it is nothing serious and that he does not have kidney stones

Thanks so much

:grouphug:

Yeah, there's a part of me that says, 40 is nothing...and another part that says...wow, 40 may be halfway through your life...

Geeeeeez Marsha! I never thought of it that way.

Now I'm depressed!

:lmao:

Sharky~ I just wanted to say I hope that everything is okay with Trent! I'm sure it's nothing serious or he'd have other symptoms.

Abby had to have blood drawn a couple times as a toddler/younger child. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I was very upfront with her. I told her it had to be done, very matter-of factly. She asked if it was going to hurt and I was truthful and told her that the poke may hurt a bit. I told her that staying still was very important so that it didn't hurt worse and also to keep her and the nurse safe. I think the fact that I didn't spring it on her helped. She knew it was coming. She wasn't happy about it but she didn't put up a big fight like I was worried she would. I don't even think she cried when it was done.

I really hope he doesn't have kidney stones. Those are really painful and kids shouldn't have to deal with that.

Not a lot of people know this, but when Kyleigh was little, I used to have to take her to Children's Hospital all the time. Go figure, she had problems with her brain. Anyway, she was always getting blood drawn. Even got an IV and had to be put to sleep one time for them to get an MRI. She only freaked out about the needle once, and that was when she was really small. The nurses were calm about it and tried to distract her, but she did need to be held down so she didn't hurt herself trying to rip the needle out. The biggest thing is for you to stay calm. If you stay calm and let the phlebotomists do their job, he'll be more inclined to stay still and not freak out himself. Don't worry about it. It is only a little pinch and it won't hurt forever. Make sure you have a talk with him first, like Love said, and make sure he knows that.

I told him about ultrasounds already and he was cool with that.

I will have to tell him about blood work if they find blood in his urine again tomorrow

I just feel bad as he had me tell him over and over again today that he was getting any needles. At least it was the truth today

At his checked up he got 3 I believe :scared1: and still thinks every time we go to dr, he going to get another :sad1:

Thanks girl

Nurse asked me if he had been constipated lately and I said no

Not even thinking that two days ago, he had a hard time going and just now he did :sad2:

She sadi sometimes when people are constipated, bowels are pressing on bladder making it bleed or something like that

I hope I do not put him through heck and all it is is because he is constipated

I am going to have to mention that tomorrow when I drop off another urine sample

I am bringing Steve with me if he needs blood drawn. There is no way I can do it by myself

Doing a shot was hard enough.

Thanks for the advice

Luv ya guys :grouphug:

Also maybe it would be better if you weren't in the room when they draw the blood just Steve. He is more apt to be a little "man" for Steve than you. I am putting him in my prayers Kelly.

Thanks Chele

That is a good idea

I know if he cries, I will too...:goodvibes
