Food & Wine & No Kids ~ A 2nd Honeymoon

Did a little math today. Looking at last years F&W menu, if B and I were to both eat and drink everything, the total would be just over $1900. Our current budget is $1200. Our goal is to try all the food, but we are not going to try all the drinks and at least half we plan on splitting (like the flights). Can't wait for the 2014 menu! They have released 4 bands for Eat to the Beat, but no one yet for our dates.

So we made a tentative plan last night.

We are hoping to get a morning massage at Ship Shape, and dinner at Victoria & Albert's.
*All the CS restaurants are "maybes" if F&W isn't filling and we need a real meal.

Friday -
Animal Kingdom
Lunch - Yak & Yeti
EPCOT - F&W
Dinner - *Beaches & Cream

Saturday -
Breakfast - Captain's Grille
EPCOT - F&W
Lunch - *Tangerine Cafe
Dinner - *(CS suggestion?)

Sunday -
Breakfast - Captain's Grille (or another suggestion?)
Magic Kingdom
Lunch - Be Our Guest

DH and I did F&W last year w/out our kids too (including my twin DDs). It was awesome! It will be so nice to stay at Yacht Club. We were at BLT and it was a pain to get over to Epcot (but nice to walk to MK for MNSSHP one night).

A suggestion for breakfast on Sunday is Kouzzina at the Boardwalk. ANd a thought for your CS dinner on Sat is Beach Club has a store (Marketplace) that has a little sandwich counter. Or you could check out Swan Dolphin. There are tons of places in Epcot but if you do a little F&W and Tangierine Cafe for lunch you may not want another CS meal at Epcot.

We hit every booth...was my DH's goal. At first we were getting 3 and 4 things at each booth (and sharing) but by the end we were just getting 1 or 2 things at each booth. We were there for 3 nights and did 2 lunches and 2 dinners at F&W and did not do ANY CS or TS meals at all other than the F&W booths. We did go to MK the 3rd evening for MNSSHP and did CS (Pecos Bill's...ick) for dinner that night. We didn't really even do breakfast. F&W was soooo filling.

I talked to B and he wants to eat at either YC or somewhere in MK. Still, 210 days to go, lots of changes can happen.

Perfect day to plan Disney vacations!

Even though our next trip isn't even close, I'm looking towards our next family trip in 2015. We may take our nieces and nephews. Or just nieces. Or just us. So we have picked out 3 different resorts. If it's all 8, we'll need 2 rooms at ASMovies. Just the nieces, AoA Nemo. And if it's just the 4 of us, POFQ.

I have a goal to stay at every resort.

Thinking about not going to AK when we first arrive. Just skip it all together and have 2 days at Epcot and a 1/2 day at MK. Guess we'll save Yak & Yeti for another time. But if we don't go to Y&Y, then where to use that TS credit? Maybe Coral Reef? Hmmm, or do I need to change to the QSDP? B and the kids need to get home so I can brainstorm these ideas with him.

First piece of Mickey Mail arrived today! A customized booklet with info about the Yacht Club and our dining plan, MyMagic+ and FastPass+, and other stuff. The bonus is a frig magnet with reminder dates on when I can make ADRs and whatnot.

My sister and her family made it safely to WDW, checked in to their resort, and are at MK! I'm loving all the pics. I can't for more!

We bought Saving Mr. Banks today. What a great movie.

Wally has moved from an extra small collar to a small. Super Pup is also now big enough to jump up on the couch. I'm not thrilled, but he only does it when he wants to lay in my lap and so it's ok. LOL

They made it home safely last night and had a great time! I can't wait to get more details and more pictures! We thought about taking the kids down for quick weekend trip, but it's just not in our price range. Even with a cheap offsite hotel. It might be doable if we can agree on just two parks. So we are now looking at Atlanta this summer. It's close and half the price!

Custom Maps have arrived! The big one of the whole resort will be used as the backdrop for a shadow box I'm planning for the kids.

Really?!

Opened the DVD cabinet, and Surprise! it's flooded. Our master bath tub is directly above. We tore out part of the cabinet and then went up stairs. There's a leak in the incoming water line. It shouldn't be too expensive and shouldn't take too long, but it's just another project that needs to get done. Now our 2.5 bath house is down to 1. Oh yeah, did I mention the 1/2 bath was gutted for a "quick" remodel? And then other things put that on hold. Time to rearrange priorities.

Excited. Nervous. Scared.

I applied for a supervisory position at work and I just received an email that said I'm ranked #1. I may or may not be tied with anyone. The old system told us if there were any ties. Running the gauntlet of emotions right now and waiting to find out when my interview will be scheduled.

A little over 6 months to go and less then a week until I can make ADRs!

But I have a dilemma - our trip is in 181 days and according to the Lost It! app I have 198 days until I hit my goal weight. Hmm.
