Food & Wine & No Kids ~ A 2nd Honeymoon

Oh. My. ...

We might have to cancel our trip. DH was asked to apply for a job. Near Disney. If he gets it, he probably wouldn't be able to take the time off, but we could go, when ever. ...

Oh no! I hope you don't have to cancel. Food and Wine is the best - We'll be there with a big crew the first week it opens in September. Good luck!
:thumbsup2

If we do have to cancel, we would use that money for APs! We may not have to cancel every thing, just modify it.

So much wonderful crazy going on over here.

Having to cancel a trip due to moving close by is probably the best reason in the world! :yay:

We lived in Tampa for 3 years and loved being an hour away. As AP holders there were so many things we got to do that never would have. We would drive over, stop at McD's on the way for food, and never spend a dime in the parks. I will say, driving over for a day still wasn't as magical as spending a night on property. If you look at my signature, you can tell we still stayed over a lot. We were in FL from 2008-2011.

If you do move, do like us, we went house hunting in FL and followed it with a week at WDW!

His interview is today!

Prayers, happy thoughts, good vibes, everything will be greatly appreciated!

Prayers and good thoughts for your husbands interview. And how about a little pixiedust:

Headed to Six Flags over Georgia. The kids have never been. DD - "so it's better than the fair but not as magical as Disney?" Exactly.

I grew up going to Six Flags over Texas every year. Love it, until our first Disney trip. It never was the same.

Hope you had a great time!

We had a great time! I was happily surprised by the friendly employees and cleanliness of the park. I'm not a thrill ride fan, but someone had to hold stuff.

Found out as we were leaving that Honey Boo Boo and crew were there. Thankfully we missed all that.

Glad you had a great time!!!

They probably got the star treatment and were behind the scenes most of the time.

What a long miserable week this has been. I got a phone call Sunday the my best friend from high school passed away and then I got a call Monday that another friend died. In order for me to take off for the funeral, I had to swap off days and I'm working all weekend. Not that we do much for the 4th, but I just want time to emotionally relax. I do have Mon-Thru off, just got to hold on until then. Luckily, Mother Nature has stopped by to say hello. 'Cause she always helps.

On a happy Disney note, we are finally in double digits. 95 days to go.

So sorry about your best friend and another classmate.

And about your DH's job.

Mother Nature always seems to be around at the worse time, my DH seems to think I can control her. :sad2:

84 days to go. They are really flying by now!

At a stand still on planning. Waiting for more F&W info to come out. I'm following the Disney Food Blog religiously.

I do need to start a countdown for when I can make our FP+ choices. I think August 11.

Late Fall Deal is out! Just called and extended our stay from 2 to 4 nights at YC. We had already planned on extended the trip two nights but planned on staying at values. We can handle it, but bouncing around 3 different resorts in 4 days doesn't scream "relaxing".

74 days to go!

:cool1: on extending your stay. I wish we could.

For some odd reason I was thinking of how we switched hotels and it was horrible. We just had too much stuff and were rushed. Glad you won't have to do it 3 times

Made our FP+ reservations last night. It was pretty easy and we got everything we wanted, but we were not after the really big headliners and some are just fillers. Our touring is going to be so different this time with a lot of "firsts".

Thursday: (arrive late afternoon, MNSSHP,) This is our first Halloween Party. Top priorities are Haunted Mansion and 7DMT. Haven't decided on costumes.

Friday: (FP+ Soarin, Figment, Nemo; lunch at Coral Reef; check out F&W booths on right side of WS; maybe hop over to HS for Star Tours and RNR, maybe go to Fuel concert; late dinner at V&A) This is our first time for F&W. Our first family trip was during F&W, but we didn't participate. I really like our plan for today. Explore the right side of FW, try Coral Reef for the first time, explore the right side of WS as we make our way to the International Gateway. We might then hop to HS to ride a couple rides. With our first 3 FP+ reservation finished, we might try for a 4th for Star Tours and B will use single rider for RNR. Or we might stay in Epcot. We will eventually head back to the resort and get ready for V&A.

Saturday: (breakfast at Captains Grill; FP+ Living with the Land, Nemo, Spaceship Earth; F&W all afternoon and evening; might hop over to MK for EMH) This day is all about F&W. A big breakfast to tide us over until WS opens. FP+ reservations are a little weak, but we're happy. A first, a favorite, and a classic. If we aren't too full, we might hop to MK, but I'm betting we just head back to the resort.

Sunday: (FP+ Dinosaur, FotLK; lunch Y&Y; FP+ Safari; maybe hop to HS if we didn't earlier; hop to MK; dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern) AK has morning EMH. I'd like to make it and ride Safari first thing. At some point B will use single rider for Everest. We may or may not hop to HS, but we will end our trip at MK. Lunch at Yak & Yeti and dinner at Liberty Tree will both be firsts for us.

Your plans look great. I'm curious what the lines will be like for 7DMT on party night. Everything is always a walk on.

Two big meals and F&W? When we attended two years ago, we purchased one plate at the booths, shared them and still filled up. We are picky eaters and didn't try much.
