Food and Wine 2015...let's start daydreaming! updated! highlight video Post 1

We are booked at our home "Poly" for the week of Oct 17th through Oct 23rd. Our first Epcot Wine Fest

Very sad to be missing Sugar Ray. It was an awesome show back in 2012? Loved when he came into the audience and walked on the benches and danced with people.

We didn't do anything special last year except Party for the Senses. Opted to not do any regional lunches...we did one in Italy the year before and there were too many things I would not eat. The year before that was great though. I wish they could post menus when the dates and times come out.

Has anyone heard if they are going to have the Epcot Wind Downs this year? They were announced last for 2014 in April. We went to the one at Tutto and LaCava while we were at the F&W last October, and they were a lot of fun! The two that we attended were packed, and I remember having trouble trying to switch to a different Wind Down within weeks before we arrived, so they seemed quite popular that time of year. Perhaps they were not profitable enough to return this year? :confused3 It was so cool leaving the park at 10:30 with it being nearly completely empty!:thumbsup2

:dancer:Soooo excited!!! This will be our first trip during any of F&W!! We'll be there 9/12-10/3. Don't know where we are staying yet!! I'm sure part of our stay will be at SSR.

I am going to miss Smash Mouth though:sad1:. I'm kind of bummed about that!! I would have loved to see them!!

Is there a package you can get to make sure you get into the show?
I thought they offered something last year.
I'm thinking Rick Springfield might be pretty packed.

Unfortunately the other bands the week I'm going are Fuel, which is "after" my young music time, and the SOS band, which I don't know. But I'm looking forward to seeing Air Supply.

Just read your first link, and saw your mention of the chase reserved seating. What is that exactly? How do you sit there? Thanks in advance, and thanks for the links!

For some of the concerts the past few years, you could go to the Chase Visa Lounge (on the second floor of the American Adventure) and get wristbands for one of the shows. There was a section of reserved seating and you entered the theater on the opposite side from the huge line.

Anyone with a Chase Visa credit card or debit card was eligible to use the lounge and get the wristbands.

Is the lounge fairly busy or does it just depend?

We've found it busy when the WS first opens because people want to get the wristbands, but it's fairly easy to get into later on.

Thanks for the tip! I think we were there fairly early in the afternoon. The lounge itself was nice-free soda and a place to recharge your cell phone-just busy. I hope they don't go back to the location they had in the Festival Center a couple years ago-that one was kind of inconvenient, and VERY busy!
