That is awful Shocker!:lmao: Come now, I am sure you can find a photo or two, BUT NO ONE WANTS TO SEE THAT SO DONT GET ANY IDEAS!!!!:lmao:

Michelle I have to go back and catch up but it seems like your trip ended nicely! Wow on your son getting so tall - so crazy how they grow... and yay for the possible cruise. We can't wait! I am scheming now for my own Disney trip BC my DH says we are not going to WDW next summer, but we can go to Vero for a few days around the cruise. Maybe you can do that?

I am positive if that happened to us that Wigd would have that iPhone out, clicking away! :rotfl2:

Sounds like a great Day and Evening in the MK!:goodvibes

You sure got some wonderful photos!

I completely know what you mean about having the best intentions in the world to relax and soak up the atmosphere, but then getting caught up in the excitement of wanting to experience as much as you can during the trip.

The desserts look wonderful at the Dessert Party, but like you, I think I would feel like I compromised my view in order to attend the Party. While yes it is crowded, I love the views from the Hub and Main Street!

Love the zoo photos - except for that close up of the Snake - yikes!!!:scared1:

Great Baseball photos, and funny you should mention these family milestones with the kiddos growing up so fast...I was just bemoaning that myself the other day on my TR! So I completely understand!!!

As for Don the Grump...like we said before, our DH's would make a perfect pair! Some day we should leave the 2 of them home together and take off with the kids for WDW!:rotfl:

BUT...booking the Dream for a cruise next summer sure sounds like a nice consolation prize!:goodvibes

Boo for the Grump being Done with Disney. :confused3
:woohoo:for booking a Disney cruise.:sail: You will love it. I booked a Dream cruise last week.:cool1:

I know, it's very sad, I wish he loved it like I do, but he just doesn't :sad1:

I am excited about the cruise though! :woohoo:

Wow...Justin is officially taller than you!!! :scared1:

Sorry that Don is done with Disney.........keeping my fingers crossed that you get to book the Dream! :yay:

I knew the day was coming - I mean, I am the mother of 2 boys, both of them will be bigger than me, I just hate that they are growing up so fast!

The cruise is looking like a very real possibility. I'm excited, but I hope I can handle it and not get sick.....

A cruise sounds great. I've always wanted to do one and Mark and I are planning to do this in 2013 when it will be our 30th wedding anniversary and his 60th birthday.

Comments in red after each section.

Kathy, my DH definitely deserves the name Grumpy over yours - Mark sounds like a fun loving kid at heart :goodvibes

I knew you would understand my pain with Justin passing me in height!

A cruise sounds like a great way to celebrate those milestones :thumbsup2

Great update Michelle! Where is the dessert party held? Your location looks similar to where we sat for Wishes, which was in the Rose Garden. Tink came right overhead too, which is so neat, isn't it?

It looks like you and your mom sure got your fill of yummy food and snacks that day. Yum, yum!

I'm sorry Don is so against going back. My husband has never been and honestly has no interest. I've come to live with that fact and know I will be taking the kiddos alone. Oh well, he's the one missing out!! ;)

The party is on the terrace by the noodle station in Tomorrowland - very similar vantage point from where you watched it. It is pretty cool to watch Tink fly right over you!

Oh my gosh, we ate waaaaaay too much!

At least your DH is willing to let you take the kids and go without him, mine wants to go on vacation with us, just not to WDW. Too bad we can't afford two vacations a year, we could go on one with all of us and then I could take another one with the kids to WDW....

I am enjoying reading this TR! How fun to be on a vacation with just Mom! Your pics are wonderful! I really like the ones of the Gorillas! We didn't go and see them when we went, and I don't really know if we even knew about them, but we are going for our 2nd trip in 2 months and I will definitly look for them. Thanks!

So, if you aren't going back to Disney where will your family go for vacation? ooh, I hope that doesn't sound nosie...

I can't wait to catch up to where you are in your TR...maybe tomorrow....I am enjoying it!

Thanks! It was a fun mother/daughter trip. So much different than the trips I've taken with the boys!

The gorillas are so awesome - I love watching them, and the trail is really pretty too, if you have time on your trip check it out!

Not nosey at all! DH has a whole list of places he wants to visit before he'll consider a Disney trip again. Washington DC, Hawaii, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, anywhere in the Caribbean (which is why I'm probably getting the Disney cruise :thumbsup2 ) I could go on and on - when we get through that list, he'll probably come up with another one :sad2:

Wow! Justin grew that much in that short of time???

Boo to Don not wanting to go to Disney, but a Disney cruise sure would be fun!!!

Isn't that crazy that he grew so much that quickly?! Seems like I remember my brother shooting up something like 4 inches in one summer when we were growing up, so I guess it happens!

I'm pretty excited about the cruise - I'd love to do a "land" portion with it as well, but I'm not even going to push my luck!

Ewwwwww!

I agree HD! No one wants to see that

I've been moving pretty slowly over here - I still have 3 full days and our departure day to go!

I'm trying to talk Don into the cruise that you guys are on, but I'm just not sure if it's going to work - I'd feel really bad if Jared missed the state tournament!

Ok, I'm adding Kona to the list for my next trip...this list is getting long!:lmao:

My list of places to try just keeps growing as well! I try to throw a couple new ones in on each trip :thumbsup2

I am positive if that happened to us that Wigd would have that iPhone out, clicking away! :rotfl2:

Well, we were the only 4 people on the bus, taking pictures couldn't have been done discretely.....

Sounds like a great Day and Evening in the MK!:goodvibes

You sure got some wonderful photos!

I completely know what you mean about having the best intentions in the world to relax and soak up the atmosphere, but then getting caught up in the excitement of wanting to experience as much as you can during the trip.

Thanks! It was a pretty good day.

I really hate that I got all commando that day, but I guess it worked to our advantage - we got a lot done!

The desserts look wonderful at the Dessert Party, but like you, I think I would feel like I compromised my view in order to attend the Party. While yes it is crowded, I love the views from the Hub and Main Street!

It definitely loses something watching it from there, I probably should have taken Mom to see it on another day as well so that she could view it the way it was intended to be seen. Of course, if you've seen it several times already, the party is a nice treat :thumbsup2

Love the zoo photos - except for that close up of the Snake - yikes!!!:scared1:

Isn't he creepy?!

Great Baseball photos, and funny you should mention these family milestones with the kiddos growing up so fast...I was just bemoaning that myself the other day on my TR! So I completely understand!!!

I know, it would be nice to be able to stop time once in awhile wouldn't it?

As for Don the Grump...like we said before, our DH's would make a perfect pair! Some day we should leave the 2 of them home together and take off with the kids for WDW!:rotfl:

BUT...booking the Dream for a cruise next summer sure sounds like a nice consolation prize!:goodvibes

I'm tellin' ya Trish, I think that is what we are going to have to do!

I am pretty excited about the cruise though, I've never been on one - they look like so much fun!

So glad you enjoyed your dinner; everything looked really good! I think you got some great shots of Wishes; I'd like to try the dessert party some day! :goodvibes

I'm not sure I want to go that late, since the later you get in the summer the deeper you get into hurricane season.

Although...the deeper into hurricane season you go, the cheaper the cruise fare. We did our most recent cruise in October to get the two stops at Castaway Cay and the cheaper fare due to hurricane season. :thumbsup2

The cruise is looking like a very real possibility. I'm excited, but I hope I can handle it and not get sick.....

I don't get seasick, but my mom and kids do. Bonine worked wonders for the kids; my mom got the wrist bands and never got sick. She gets sick just from riding in a car, so the fact that the wrist bands worked was wonderful!

Hi, I just stumbled upon your TR. Its always hot an humid in Florida. Even walking can get you sweaty. I cant imagine after freshening up and running to get to the bus. It was just better staying the way you were a little while ago. :lmao: The desserts looks sooo yummy. I could sure go for some right about now.

Your pictures of Poly look like postcards!!!! That is such a pretty resort..:goodvibes And look at you being the trendsetter with the drink!! :thumbsup2
Two of my nephews are almost 6ft tall ( I am a measly 5'2 :rotfl2:) They have been taller than me for ages!! :rotfl:
I hope you can do the Disney cruise....The Dream looks like.....well a Dream! I was on the Wonder and it is a beautiful ship....CC is beautiful.....aren't Anita's pictures helping you!!??:rotfl: I think the 5 day is the perfect amount of time :thumbsup2
Oh and great PP picture at the dessert party....and I am a HUGE fan of creme brulee too!! :woohoo:

Tracy

Chris gets quite motion sick.........but, in saying that, we've been on MANY cruises. He takes Bonine every morning and it seems to do the trick. He's only gotten sick once on a cruise (I think you read my TR about that one!) and it was because he didn't take anything to prevent it! I think you'll be ok!!! :thumbsup2

Why did I think Kona was your last night??!! Gee! Well hop to it lady!!! Clearly I have been on DISNEY time... ;) Okay, I will go back and reread what I was looking at last night b/c I got mixed up! YAY, three more days to read about!!! :surfweb:

Well I just found out that two other couples (DISers) with kids are coming that same cruise! Baseball, any sport like that, is a huge committment and takes dedication. It is good the kids have things they are passionate about.

Thanks for the Kona pictures... we have that scheduled and I am happy to hear your nice review.

I wasn't aware that kona had a chefs pick three. It isn't on all ears so that makes me happy! Did you have to ask or was it clearly on the menu?

Also, my little guy has made several comments about how he wants a drink out of a pinapple. I wonder if they would make fruity drinks for kids in one. Would you know? He would so get a kick out of that if I surprised him!

I am still loving the TR... can't wait for more!

The desserts at the party were yummy, it's a fun way to enjoy the fireworks!

That is true about the cruise being cheaper when you get deeper into hurricane season, don't think I would care much for rough seas if we ran into them though! Bonine works good for me with normal travel and with most rides, I think I'd like to try something a bit stronger for a cruise though. Good to hear that the wrist bands worked so well for your mom!

Thanks for reading!! My last visit to WDW before this one was in December, we were bundled up on several days, and never broke a sweat once - quite a difference from all my previous trips, and from this one! You're right, we sooooo shouldn't have bothered with getting cleaned up for dinner

Tracy

That's me, happy to enable others to try and enjoy an alcoholic beverage :thumbsup2

Anita's pictures pushed me over the edge on the cruise! I'm dying to go on one now, I hope it works out!!!

Creme brulee......yum!

Chris gets quite motion sick.........but, in saying that, we've been on MANY cruises. He takes Bonine every morning and it seems to do the trick. I do remember that cruise - you almost scared me away from ever trying one! :lmao: I do think I'll be alright as long as I take precautions. :thumbsup2

Oh NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! :scared1: Then you have my permission to confiscate it. :rotfl:

::yes::

Why did I think Kona was your last night??!! Gee! Well hop to it lady!!! Clearly I have been on DISNEY time... ;) Okay, I will go back and reread what I was looking at last night b/c I got mixed up! YAY, three more days to read about!!! :surfweb:

I don't know why you thought that - we're just past the halfway point! Summer has me hoppin' and unable to update as often as I'd like!

I am glad that my boys are dedicated to their sports, but they sure interfere with things I'd like to do at times!

Thanks for the Kona pictures... we have that scheduled and I am happy to hear your nice review.

I think you'll like Kona, it's one of my favorites! The chefs pic three was listed right at the top of the menu, our waiter also pointed it out to us to make sure we were aware of the option.

I bet they could make some kind of a non-alcoholic drink in a pineapple for your DS, can't hurt to ask :thumbsup2

Those of you who read my last TR may remember how excited I was to learn that I would be having a niece, the only girl on my side of the family. Well, today she arrived! :goodvibes

Meet Baylee, 7lbs 12oz, 20" long:

IMG_5062.jpg

She is being held by my nephew, her big brother. He was so, so proud of her. He kept ooooing and ahhhhing over her, saying things like "look at her tiny nose", "I'm your big brother", "I love you", "I'm so glad you're here". I could go on, but you get the picture! He totally had me in tears, it was the sweetest thing I've ever seen!

IMG_5064.jpg

You can see her little face better in this one

IMG_5065.jpg

Here she is with me

And my brother

No pics of SIL, she made us promise not to take any of her until she had a chance to shower! I'll be going back up later this evening once Don gets home so that he and the boys can meet Baylee. I'm so excited to finally have a girl in the family!!!

A few more pics.......

I'm just loving your report and all your beautiful pictures! Your zoo pics were amazing!!

The Wishes Dessert Party.... We LOVED that back in September. It was so hot, and it felt so good to have many cold beverages and yummy treats and have a contained area for Henry. I hope they extend it again! It's nice that they have added a PP there too.

And what GREAT news on the cruise!!!! :yay::yay::yay: I hope to see a pretty ticker very soon. :goodvibes

We updated at the same time, so I just saw the pictures of your beautiful new niece! That is so sweet about her older brother too! Congratulations!

Congratulations!!! Baylee is absolutely precious and her big brother was so sweet!!! I bet Baylee will be very spoiled being the only girl in the family! :goodvibes
