St. Petersburg Beach is in Pinellas County where I live. It is about 190 miles from where the storm should hit.

The storm in general will have at least some affect on that area though. How much is to be seen.

St Pete like most of the Tampa bay area will get nasty weather. Possible tornados, windy 40-50 sustainted and up to 85 in gusts in Tampa Area. Highest will be farther south. I measured St PEte is 130 miles from naples, possible point of landfall. Thats by land not roads. Almost all of Florida is in for some kinda of nasty weather. Its getting nastier over here in Tampa by the minute.

Looks like Labelle is NE of Fort Meyers..just to the west of Lake Okechobee...and will be on the North side of the storm with most likely hurricane force winds if it stays on the current track.

Dh and I just got into a wicked argument. I HAVE to go into work Tuesday if we have power because I dont get paid if I dont and we cant afford it if I dont. He says he HAS to go into work because it is crisis time and he works for the cable company and must be there. HE has sick time which will pay him for the day if he takes it off. He says his managers will be furious if he doesnt come in. I told him to ask his boss if he could bring the kids in as he works in a large office. I work in a tiny doctors office and there is no room in our waiting room for two kids all day long. I didnt need this on top of the stress of the impending storm. Unfortunately we have no family or friends who can watch the kids for us.

This is not good news. An old friend of mine (about 25 years now!) and his wife are there with their one year old twins. They were going to come to stay with me, but around 10:00 this morning decided that it wasn't going to be anything major and that they would stay put. Please keep them in your prayers. He's an entertainer tha some of you may have seen at Hogs Breath, the Green Parrot, and the Rooftop Cafe among others.
