Just woke up again. Im sleeping in the living room by the front window which has the metal panels on it and you can hear our swing hitting the front window. Its tied down but its moving. I just went out on the front porch for a second and it is wicked windy and there are the tell tail blue lights going off everywhere of transformers blowing out. Winds on Wilma are now up to 125. I thought it was supposed to get weaker not stronger!

Well, its getting pretty squally out there now as it woke me up about an hour ago. Lots of flash lightning.

Does anyone know if she's made landfall yet?

Good Morning to all.I wanted to hear from somebody from Orlando to find out how the conditions are there this morning?? Hopefully OK.My nephew lives down there and I would like to hear how the weather is this morning.

The front of the eyewall just came on shore they are saying about 25 miles south of Naples. The position isnt exactly certain because they arent sure if its due to the radar or if its the actual landfall position. They said they would know more around 8 AM.

It is really scary out there. Extrememly windy with horizontal rains. Power keeps going off and on.

We live about 10-15 minutes from WDW. So far this morning, it is raining very hard, and the wind is beginning to blow. I can hear the "moaning" of the wind at a very low pitch. The wind is probably blowing at around 30 miles per hour.

Everything is closed.... schools, government offices, and Disney and Universal.

There have been hundreds of Tornado warnings overnight, some not far from Disney, and a few have touched down. The Cocoa Beach area really got hit hard.

We still have electricity, and plan to keep it!

I'd say I'd spend the day in bed, reading a book, but we're moving in 4 days and I have boxes to pack!

I am surprised by our good weather at the moment. A bit dark to see if is raining. If it is it is a misty rain. The plants out by the street light are shiny wet. Aaah--just got a good view again--it's that blustery rain. The palm across the street is moving back and forth.

Hubby is making pancakes with the girls and we are just watching the news. So weird that the highs for this afternoon in Orlando at least won't make it to 70 degrees.

I forget the name of the town that is the "official" land fall...but it is Marco Island area and the location was at the tip of what I guess is Marco Island.

And teh wind just got noisy...palm tree no longer swaying back and forth at the moment--now being blown in one direction.

I'm in the Lake Washington area and it's been raining but good here (for last 30 min anyway). Winds are just now really kicking up to the point the dogs are like - yeah right, we're not going out there!!

Windy and wet, but nothing life threatening unless you are in the path of a tornado or doing a stupid human trick. Since about 2:00am, the tornado warnings ahve all been out east on the coast, but we are under a watch until 11:00am. The wind does seem to be picking up, i'ts whistling on one side of the hosue and howling on the other.

Mark is sleeping in the walk in closet, he was very content in there with his PS 2 and video player all night. I put three comforters folded in half under him, so it's soft. The ferrets aren't pleased, they've been in their carrier in there all night, but it's really for their own good, it's safer than their wire cage.

I never got a call that we weren't opening, but I'm not going in. I'll play it by ear and if the weather improves later I'll give it a shot.

It's gotten really interesting here in the past 30 minutes. VERY heavy rain going horizontal and steady winds probably in the 25-35 mph range. I think there have been several gusts closer to 45.

We still have power (obviously) but I don't know how long it can last if the storm maintains this intensity. At least there hasn't been any more tornado warnings for this area. Those things scare me silly!

WeatherBug at Winter Haven Airport is reporting about 30mph steady winds and they have had gusts of 40. Hang in there! Only 4 more days, and we'll be your neighbor!

Stepped outside--just a very blustery day.

And the newspaper had been delivered this morning, LOL!

The downspout looks like we have a mini-waterfall from all the rain.

Checking in again from Tampa area. No rain for now, not much wind.
This was a non-event here. Thank goodness! Summer storms have been worse. Don't know if there's more to come or not but conditions are ripe for tornadoes.
And it's cold!!

Well I never received a call from my Boss so I am just getting into work. Very windy here in Pinellas County and a lot of rain. The wind stays at a steady pace than we get a gust but NOTHING compared to what you are getting in Central or South Florida.

Hold on tight. The say the storm is moving quickly so hopefully the worst of it will be over soon.
