I recently moved to Florida and have heard about these 4 day passes fr $ 109 which you can use to up grade to annual passes.

Please explain how this works? Can I buy the passe at a Disney Store. 3 of the 5 members of my family have Florida drivers licenses the other two are not old enough to have ID's (14) What do they need for them? Can I buy the passes at the resort when we check in? Do you use the passes at the turnstiles just by inserting the cards or to they make you go through the finger scan. I am trying to prepare so we can hit the parks running and not have delays

Thanks

Welcome to Florida.;) Yes, you can purchase these passes, and can purchase them at AAA o over the phone at 1-800-W-Disney. You will get a voucher and have to go to the Park Window and get the REAL Pass. This is when YOU need the Fl. ID!;) As far as the the 14 year old, no problem. Yes you will need to do a finger scan.;)

I would suggest that you not use the Play 4 Day pass - since you now live in FL go ahead and purchase either Annual Passes or the Florida Resident Season Pass (it has blackout dates). The FL Resident pass is what we use, the blackout dates are around Christmas - during April (Spring Break time) and during the summer (Jun through around mid-August). The pass costs $170 (or so). It is really a super deal. Of course, you could buy the Play-4-Day then upgrade it to an Annual or FL Resident Pass. Welcome to Florida! This is really strange to me- you can purchase the FL Resident & Annual Passes at the Swan & Dolphin but not at the WDW Resorts (YC/BC/BWI, etc..). You can purchase them at any of the parks with FL ID, you vouch for the teenagers. The Play-4-Day Pass can be purchased at any resort or at any of the parks.

Just back yesterday and I was traveling with my sis who is a FL resident. She was able to purchase the Play 4 Days pass at check-in at All Star Music. She had to show ID for hers only, not for her 11 year old son. They both had to do finger scan at the turnstiles as well as put their ticket through.

Just returned from using the Play 4 pass for our 6 yr. old granddaughter. We purchased her voucher at the Disney Store and when asked what sort of ID would be required to prove she lives in FLA...was given..."a report card from her school, etc.". The DS CM reported that WDW had a wave of out of stater's purchasing these for their grandchildren. Not a problem, but I did double check with Disney before leaving and they said..don't worry about proving for her. We turned in the voucher at the MGM and we did need to give her address at the Guest Services window. They didn't do a finger scan for her although she kept trying to put her's in the machine:( . We opted for this pass for our short trip (we are Seasonal holders) because it worked out cheaper for us. We do have two days left and was told to make sure we used them towards her Seasonal before the end of October.

Your kids can get FL ID cards at the drivers license office if you are worried, probably a good idea for them to have anyway.

With the Florida Resident Play 4 pass do you have to do the finger scan at the turnstile and do they ask for your florida Id again?

My best recollection is that they do not ask for your id at the gate. When you purchase the pass they do suggest that you have the id with you - just in case.
