First, I am very diligent about keeping an eye on my flights (I fly in 2 weeks). I am booked on United using Continental miles and that combination puts my reservation in a tough spot. Every time the plane changes, the flight number changes or the time changes, I lose my seat assignment. I have some friends booked on the same flight and booked directly with United who don't lose their seats. I was set to set next to a buddy and have lost that seat now. No biggie, but there is some glitch between Continental and United reservations.

In the end I am getting there just fine and am in no way complaining. I know these things happen and won't worry about it. I am flying with other adults, so no worries about being seated with my kids or anything like that.

Happy travels, everyone.

I booked the same scenario to Las Vegas. I was able to go to United's website and re-pick my seats. Two weeks before the trip, I was on United's website and noticed that I was upgraded to economy plus seating for no charge. There is hope.

Have a great trip.:cool1:

Thanks for the input. I do the same thing. I use the United confirmation number and re-pick my seats. In fact, I always just log directly into United when checking my reservation unless my iPhone app tells me there has been a change first........ I do check daily though since that "you have a new reservation" notice on my iPhone makes me jump!

I'll take an E+ upgrade if they want to give it to me! My dad and I were upgrade a few years ago when they switched the plane on us and our row was no longer available. E+ was nice.

In 2009 United "lost" our seat reservations for our Christmas trip. On the first leg our party of 4 were split up. In DEN I was called to the counter at the gate and were given free E+ upgrades for our last leg and our entire return trip. Can't argue with that!:)
