FL Tours vs. Car Rental

I'm sure this question has been answered a thousand times, but I can't seem to find an exact answer. I'm a National Car Rental Emerald Club Executive member and I have a couple of free rental days coming to me. We currently have a reservation with FL Tours to/from the airport, but I'm wondering if, aside from the cost savings, renting a car would be better?? We're staying at the Polynesian and I'll be with DW, DS6 and DD3. My main concerns are that we have to also rent and install car seats in the rental, deal with our own luggage, and wait for the shuttle to/from the Car Care Center to/from the Polynesian (would have 2 separate rentals -- 1 on our arrival, and 1 on our departure). The cost savings is really not a big issue, because if we don't spend the money on FL Tours, we'll just spend it in the parks!!

We decided to rent because it was actually cheaper to get the rental for 8 days (also National Emerald Club $113 for the entire time) than it was for us to use a town car. We will probably use the car just to get to anf from the airport, or in case of emergency, but we have been ditched twice by towncar companies that nver picked us up. I hear FL tours is great, but I don't ike to leave my travel plans up to others. I want to leave for the airport when I want and know i will be there in time. We will happily drag our luggage to the emerald aisle for that piece of mind and saving $$.

We had the same dilema but decided to go with FL Tours. The convenience of being picked up at baggage claim, dropped off at the Polynesian door, and vice versa.... it was a easy decision for us. Both DH and I both travel and rent cars a lot for work so we thought it might be nice to hand the keys over to someone else, one less thing to worry about. We have always had good experiences with town car services so that factor didnt play into our decision.
Besides our little ones like riding in the "taxi's" as they call them :D
If the money is going to come out essentially even, you have to decide which is more relaxing for you.

Have a great time!
