Only the iPad 3. I have the iPad 2 and cannot sync.

The 3 and the 4 are (the 4 is the one with the new charger that isn't compatible with previous iPads/iPhones). My mother got DD the 4 for Christmas and she hates that it has a different charger.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! :cool1:

I took the dongle out of my computer & put it in the box & sure enough, no problem at all with my Fitbit syncing to my iPad without it!

So happy!!! :thumbsup2

To quote Crush, "You totally rock"!

:dance3:

You're welcome! Glad I could help. :). It's one of my favorite things about my FitBit - I can sync to my iPhone throughout the day and enter my food and stuff. That way I can check my calories burned and see if I can eat more!

Just another note - some of you might have health insurance that rewards you for using the FitBit and achieving your goals. My insurance gives you points where you can purchase stuff and I get 15 every day that I hit 10,000 steps. There's a website where I can actually automatically share my FitBit data with them so I don't even have to enter my steps online. Our company needs so many people to earn points to provide them a discount in insurance so I gladly signed up. They are good enough to pay for my insurance so I want to do all I can to help them out!

No, as of right now the only work with iOS. They are working on Android.

The 3 and the 4 are (the 4 is the one with the new charger that isn't compatible with previous iPads/iPhones). My mother got DD the 4 for Christmas and she hates that it has a different charger.

There are only 3 full size iPads and the Mini.

The fitbit website says it only supports the iPad 3.

The 4th generation iPad was released the same day as the iPad mini. You can find this information on the Apple Store or the wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPad#Model_comparison

As far as the FitBit site saying it only supports the iPad 3, it needs to be updated. My DD's iPad 4 works just fine with it.

Don't know why your pants are in a bunch. The apple website on the compatr iPads lists the iPad 2, iPad with Retnia. Doesn't call it the 4th. i cannot find anywhere on the site that its called the 4th. The fitbit site says 3. Understandable how someone could get confused. I had no interest in the mini so I skipped that announcement. I was too busy testing the at the time not yet announced Microsoft Surface for my husband.

Oh and by the way my husband, with 20 years in software/hardware asked me just yesterday if the iPad he brought home fom work was the 2nd or 3rd, so even the experts who keep up on this stuff can get confused.

On a "lighter" note - I have only had mine since Wed, not even a week. No changes in eating as I already eat pretty well, but I lost one pound :cool1::cool1::cool1:

I have been reading this thread and now I want one too! I have the Galaxy SII and will be waiting for the sync option to work for us android users... anyone know of any coupons I should be on the look out for - or the best place to buy from? I am really hoping to have it before the PHM! Thanks!

I am confused about a FitBit One vs the Ultra. The Flex also looks pretty interesting

They don't sell the Ultra anymore I don't think. I am pretty sure that the Flex has not been released yet.

I have the One - love it! I have had it for less than one week & am already totally addicted.

If you need or want motivation to get yourself moving - this seem like a dream come true.

Read the reviews on Amazon. Lots of good info there :cool1:

Congrats!!!!

I have had mine since Christmas and I am continually amazed how little food we really need. Even though I eat relatively healthy, I have been tweaking the portion sizes to stay within my allotted Fitbit calories.

I also love that this thing gives me the motivation to get on that treadmill to add some steps if I am short or want something a bit heavier for dinner.

I just earned my Helicopter badge - 500 floors!

Thanks :cool1: it makes "exercise" fun & not feel like excersise at all.

Ok - I am TOTALLY IMPRESSED with your helicopter badge! :worship:

I got my 50 floors climbed in a day badge Sunday cause I was so close & I am still sore. I shoot for between 25-30 a day & boy do I feel it.

:worship::worship::worship: I want a helicopter badge :goodvibes

You've done 500 floors since Christmas?? I've only done 250 since Jan 1 and I have to go up a huge flight of stairs to get to my office!! I get in my 10 *most* days but 500 is way impressive. Congrats!!!

Ok, 50 floors in a day?? I'm not sure I'd be able to walk the next day!! And 25-30 per day must really give you awesome leg strength. Are you a runner?

Oh no - no running for me! Ack. Not awesome leg strength either, just really sore.

Really not very impressive at all. :guilty: I live in a two story house & I just do a set of 10 every once in awhile. It adds up. I could never do it all at once. Now, that would be impressive! :thumbsup2

That's awesome. Makes me kinda wish I had stairs...no, not really. But boy is this thing motivated. I've set my steps goal at 5,000 for now and this afternoon I hadn't done too many so I went for a walk. I was not not going to hit 5,000. :hyper:

Amazing how such a little tiny thing can have such a giant impact on your life! All of those Amazon reviews that I read that said it was life-changing, I really am thinking I agree. And I have not even had mine for a week!

GO phorsenuf! :thumbsup2
