Are you kidding! LOL!! And here I've been taking my FitBit OFF! LOL!![]()
Finally!
Went to the gym last & I got my 10,000 step badgeThat is really had to do. I cannot even imagine how I will be able to get so many steps in a day. It took an hour gym trip to finish.
So loving my FitbitI would have never done it without the extra push to get that badge.

My new Aria scale came today! Woohoo!
Unfortunately I had quite the shock when it told me what my body fat percentage is. YIKES!
Oh - I went to get one today and ended up leaving without oneI could not find my $50 Brookstone Gift Card & did not want to get without using the GC as I never really shop there anyway.
So - big question, how accurate do you think the scale is compared to what you normally use? I had DH step on it (I sure was not going to) & it weighed him 4 lbs more the first time, then about the same minus the 4 lbs each time after that. Of course he said he has no idea if it was his "real" weight
. Men. Geez.
So, do you recommend it as far a weight accuracy goes?
It pegged my weight right in the same range as my old scale, so yeah, it seems accurate. I don't know how accurate the body composition measurement was for me (I've never had any body comp analysis done), but from what I read before buying it, it's pretty close. Nothing is as accurate as the water displacement method, apparently, but the Aria does okay--it uses the electric current method.
I went ahead and created a Fitbit group on the Fitbit site.
It is called DIS Friends.

I had to lower my step goal to 5,000. There is no way I can do 10,000 right off the bat. I also knocked the stair goal out completely because we don't have any. I don't want to see that 0%.![]()
I love the my fitness pal food tracker! I put in wal-mart salad and it found the exact one. I put in carbmaster yogurt, found that too. Very user friendly. I'm using my fitness pal more now that I have the fitbit. I don't want to see bad choices on my meals or the high calories. It's helping to track!

My FitBit has been acting weird. Last Saturday, I went up and down the stairs once in the morning and it recorded 10 flights. Hmmm. Thought it was an anomaly and let it go. Then yesterday, I went shopping early in the am like I do every Saturday. I went to 4 stores, walked up and down every aisle and parked in the rear of the lot. This normally nets me about 4,500 - 5,000 steps. Yesterday it gave me 2,500. Hmmm. So I go to make up the difference on the treadmill and it gives me 1,500 MORE steps than usual (I've figured out how many steps I get on average in 10 minutes at 3.5 speed) in the first 10 min. Ugh. I did buy the service plan so I might be getting a replacement.
That does sound off. I plan to use my pedometer with the fitbit to see if the results are similar.

I measured my cereal and milk the morning. My cereal bowl looks seriously skimpy. I usually eat only cereal, but about twice the amount. Now, I'll need to add something to it. Some kind of protein. Doesn't look like enough food!
It is amazing to realize just what one serving of some things are. I used to always look at the picture on the box of a bowl of cereal, side of toast and fruit or other things and think "how can you eat all of that?". But then you see that a serving is really on about 3/4 cup and usually we eat 2 or more cups at a time--. So have some yogurt and fruit or a side of turkey bacon/sausage. I used to have these great small bowls (no idea why I got rid of them) that were great for cereal because they only held about a cup. Switching to a smaller bowl will make your cereal seem like a bigger serving. I now have little pyrex bowls in 2 sizes. The smaller ones are great for ice cream or other treats and the bigger ones are good for cereal.
