First time HHN

First time going to Halloween Horror Nights. Plan to be there weekend of Halloween. We will be staying onsite and have annual passes. I know we still have to buy tickets for the night. I realize it is the last weekend and is Halloween so it will be very busy. I am undecided on strategy. Can everything been seen on one night or do I need two nights? We would be going on the 31st and 1st. Is front of the line passes needed as well.

Especially since you are going on Halloween itself, I would absolutely recommend the Express passes for HHN. Last year, I went on a Thursday night in September and the lines were insane.

Edit: I would also add, this year is the 25th year for HHN, so I'd expect interest to be especially high this year.

Honestly, I don't know. Last year, I did the RIP tour. Was in a small group with a tour guide, and had immediate access to all the houses, plus reserved seating for the Bill and Ted show. Basically walked to the entrance of every house, past all the people waiting in the Express line. Was worth the price as far as I'm concerned. Don't remember how much it was last year, but I'll definitely do it again this year.

i usually go with the special monthly pass that includes express.

if you have the express pass, yes, you will be able to cover the houses and shows
if you go when the park closes at midnight, skip the rides and concentrate on the houses/shows.

if you start at the stay and scream holding area, you can definitely get a head start and finish 3 houses before general public is let in.

with halloween on the weekend this year, not sure how packed the park will be for hhn.

i would assume locals would do trick/treat if they have kids or maybe some locals would be doing their own halloween parties.


do a rip tour and you will cover a lot in the time you are with the tour.

yes it is a great way to see everything.

i do more nights than a couple each year.
i try to hit either 5 or 6 nights during my stays.
i like to catch both teams (A & B) in action.

bill and teds scripts changes at times.
things are added or taken out and it's always a great laugh...
going more than one night lets me catch different add ons to that show.

Somebody tweeted, and the official site's calendar confirms, that all nights will stay open until 1am or 2am this year!

I remember how I used to go just for the Opening Weekend.... only two days... and park closed at midnight....
