Okay, I read the guide that on this site and it was awesome BUT I still have a question -

I know that once I get off of my flight (flying US Airways) that I will proceed on the tram to the main building and that I will need to pay attention to the signs for baggage claim which will be on the 2nd floor. I will need to go down one floor. I have someone picking me up - will that person be allowed to come into the baggage claim area? I'm asking because I need to "freshen" up and change shoes for a business meeting before I am picked up. I don't want to be seen until I've done this and I think the easiest is to follow my fellow flight members to get to the correct baggage claim in case I miss something...

I could do it after I get my luggage if I knew that this person couldn't come in that area!

help! not sure what to do!

Anyone is allowed into baggage claim. It's very easy to find your way. Just follow the crowd to the tram, turn right after you pass security and look for the escalators with a B above them. Go down and turn right. Take a look at the monitor to see which carousel your flight's baggage is coming off of. Not really a good idea to just follow people from your flight, they may not have checked luggage or are using DME and will not be going to baggage claim.

There are numerous signs indicating where to go, worst case you can always ask someone as you exit the secure area.

Anyone is allowed into the baggage claim area so if you need to look presentable to the person picking you up then you should change before getting on the tram.

Thanks for your help! How long does it normally take for the luggage to get to the baggage claim? Just trying to judge my time...

I would say the earliest is 15-20 minutes from the time the door opens.

There is also a bathroom right before you go down the steps or escalator to baggage claim on the US Airways side.
