:drive:We had such a great time on our first trip to Fort Wilderness that we wanted more! So I packed my Mickey socks and Goofy boxers and here we go!

We took the backway (for us anyway) down US 27 and ended up here

The main gate at Fort Benning ... After missing our exit the very nice man with the firearm let us make a U turn and we were back on the way! :joker:

We stopped at the Eagles Roost campground in Lake Park Ga. There is good crowd here.

After attempting to fill my water heater without putting the plug in first and
Dinner at Cracker Barrel we are settled in and thinking of the mouse!

I hope to meet some of the other Disers next week at the Fort!

We will keep a lookout :sail:

Travel safe!

Today we arrived

We had a good time spotting north bound RVs. there were a lot of them. And the northbound lanes of the turnpike were backed up and stop and go from north of the I75 merge all the way back to the Okahumpka rest area, felt sorry for the folks going north today. But it was a good trip for us, got a welcome back and assigned site 1614, right next door to our last site!

After we got to the Fort Saturday we went and picked up an internet kit and got settled into camp. Visited with the new neighbors, the people and the squirrels. Black nose the head squirrel checked in and demanded a down payment for site protection, Mr Hawk flew by and screeched hello, and the local turkey herd scratched by. I let my battery go down, so I missed some great pictures:sad1:.

It rained in the evening and cooled things off some, but it was hot in the afternoon, so I stayed close to camp.

Sunday I got some site pictures

Now yesterday the loop was FULL, at one time some Yahoo had 10 or 15 cars waiting while he backed into his site, It was site 1614, so if you go by there watch for hitchhikers because he is probably walking around in the road taking pictures of empty sites or looking for a ride to the Magic Kingdom!

And here are the sites around Sunday, We now have 3 empty sites on either side of us and 2 across the road, I guess the Easter Week holiday is over:surfweb:

Hope everyone traveling today has a safe trip! :car:

We went to the Magic Kingdom for lunch and dinner, Had a pork shank at Gastons Tavern, it was very tasty! I forgot to get a photo of the before, but here are the remains

We also visited with Ariel and Belle, we went by Rapunzels and used her facilities, she lives in a nice neighborhood.

After a trip through the Haunted Mansion and checking out the new Hub (its very nice) we had dinner at the Plaza, It was pretty good for theme park food :drinking1

Back at camp we were surprised that the loop was pretty empty. We've got 4 empty sites on one side, 3 on the other side and 4 in the back over on the 1800 loop.

and the squirrels are moving in! We are the only source of nuts and Cheetos in the immediate area, I'm afraid, Very Afraid

Now see, this is why I tell you people to pack plenty of nuts! Stay calm, you're bound to have some dry cereal in there somewhere. They do actually take to that pretty well.

Good to see some open space for you there in the loop, should cut down on the noise a little for you. I am currently looking for a premium for my October trip, but currently have a full hookup booked. The more I look at the full hookups the more I'm really tempted to just leave my reservation alone and just see how it goes. I got a 35 footer and have plenty of outdoor carpet to cover the sandpad to help keep it out from inside the camper.

Keep it coming!

:rotfl2:I love the picture of the empty bones!

Thanks Goofy14sure!

Loving the pics and updates so far. I can only guess that the hawk was watching the squirrel. Too afraid to try and grab it of course...

The hawk seems to prefer the lizards, he has probably been whipped by a squirrel.... these guys are mean
