Well, MIL DID fix my sweatshirt, so she scores a point from me. When I couldn't get pregnant, there HAD to be something with me. When she comes to my house she tells me my kids are brats and spoiled. She tells me that she wishes she had a week in my house so that she could clean it (it's clean, just not organized the best in all places, you know, the basement storage room). DH is a better cook. So MIL just thinks DH can do no wrong, and he's too good for me. I told him to tell her how good I am in bed, and that'd shut her up :)

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :thumbsup2 :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I finally am going back on Monday. It's weird how you miss it.

I love going to the gym. My DH thinks I am insane. Especially on days like today when I can't pick stuff up off the floor.

Ask tracy ?

I have been listening to the podcasts and it seems Kevin, John and Pete like arriving to the port to get on the boat later on around 2 or 2:30pm...I think I would like to arrive around this time as well. We are staying at the Dolphin Hotel on May 9th. do they have a late check out? and if so what time can I push it till?

thanks!

I will have to check on this as I don't usually work with the Dolphin.

Just my two cents, I like to get there when they start boarding because we can get food (which is already paid for with the cruise fare) and use the pools. The rooms are generally ready at 1:30 pm and if you arrive at the port anytime after they have started boarding, it goes very quickly.

I love deviled eggs. With just the right amount of mustard and a little relish. Yum. Might have to make some this weekend, or maybe next what with the sauce and lasagna. I am running to the post office and then the grocery store to pick up the garlic bread. Can't have a nice lasagna without garlic bread now can you.

From what I know it's about a week before they are up and around.
Eight to ten for fully back to normal.
He has to get beeter fast.
I just got a call.
Have to leave for a few days.
My Biological father is on his death bed, they say it won't be long now.
So I need to take the boy's and go.
I have to see him one last time.
Our relationship is strained to say the least.
My boy's don't know him, so this will not faze them, I might even be able to get someone to watch them while I go to see him.
He lives 2 hours away from here.
He is near the family farm though.
I am taking the boy's down there for a couple of days, to make maple syrup.
I am not lucky like Nicole, I don't have a laptop.
There's no computer where I am going.
I bet this thread will be closed by the time I get back.
I will be leaving either tomorrow or Monday.
When I leave will depend on how John is doing.

:grouphug: Thinking of you.

I think I am going to have to make egg salad for lunch... all this deviled egg talk has me craving it.

I am getting my iPhone on Monday. Are there any accessories that I need to get?

Becky

The plastic covers for the face so you don't scratch it and a car charger. I was able to find one that was a car and wall charger in one. It's perfect because we will never be without one for the beach house now.

Me too, but I hate making hard boiled eggs. For some reason the smell totally grosses me out.

Morning all - just a quick catch up

It's not that I don't like my in-laws. They dont' really like me. :confused3
No, it's not the end of the world. I'm sitting in a chair right now that smells like a dog's butt, but otherwise, life is good.

And, we are making quite the impression. The MIL thinks my kids are a tad spoiled. So, as I am sitting here on my laptop, DD8 gets out her laptop. Then DD11 gets out her laptop. The three of us are sitting playing our laptops. In defense of my spoiled children, my dad gave DD8 an old laptop, and DD11 got our old one.

My FRIENDS on the DIS need to stay active today on this thread to give me something to do.

I'm with you - I have lost count of our computers.

DD8 is peeling eggs right now. I am a horrible mother, because I hate eggs. I don't have a clue how to boil an egg. MIL is amazed that they have never had hard boiled eggs.

I hate eggs too...and I can't cook them either.
My Mom taught my DH to cook - not me...weird.

Do you do stand up or lay down? I can't decided which place to go.

I have never tanned either - I was thinking about spray tan - opinions please!?

You go girl - and find a way to make HIM say it!

I have no idea. I think we will wing it.

Don and Tamra are going to the Melting Pot tonight. I can't wait to hear all about it.:goodvibes

Yummy. I have never been there, but I love Fondue.

Our date night is going to be Cheeburger, Cheeburger and Race to Witch Mountain. Of course, our 4 year old is coming to this date night.:rotfl:

Oh yea...Make sure to carb up Don.

I just got back from 1.5 miles of running. I was buckled over for a while afterwards. If there is any good news I didn't stop during the run. a nice steady pace.

:cheer2: <-------that's me cheering you on.

yum! deviled eggs - going to make some now! see how easily influenced I am?? As for boiling the egg (I really hope you were kidding but just in case you aren't), boil the egg in salt water for 10-15 min and then soak in ice water for the shell to be removed easily. I was a teenager when my big sis first called home to ask me how to boil an egg. I thought she was kidding. After I picked myself up off the floor from laughing so hard, I explaining these same steps to her and she's been cooking them ever since.

I don't really know how to boil an egg either - and I am quite accomplished in the kitchen. :confused3 It's not that I can't, I just never remember how since I don't really like hard boiled eggs it doesn't come up often. Whenever it does come up I just call my mom or my sister and they tease me about not knowing how.

How is the air conditioning for the inside state rooms? Do the rooms get pretty cold? Are they stuffy?

We had an inside room and it was perfect. There is a thermostat in your room so you have control.
