I have a question about our first day in Disney. We are arriving on a saturday around 10 a.m. by the time we get to our hotel to hold our luggage, it will be around 11:30. What should we do our first day? Since this is our first time to disney, and we have two DD's 4 and 6, we thought it might not be a great idea to go to one of the major parks at the peak time. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Where are you staying? I would avoid
MK on a Saturday - personal advice, nothing statistically proven. You may want to scope out Epcot or MGM. Get an idea of what the park or parks are like and plan the rest of your trip accordingly. Have fun!

We arrived around the same time on our last trip. We chose to settle in to our resort, walk around and check it out, take a swim (if the weather is good). We ended up going over to Epcot in the evening, we had dinner at the Garden Grill (character meal) and were able to do a few of the rides. I personally wouldn't do too much on your first day/night. I would make it an early night so you are well rested for the next day.

I don't know what kind of tickets you will have, but if you have park hoppers and don't want to waste a day, you can also start off the way I mentioned, then go to the CR and have dinner at Chef Mickeys (character meal). That is a fun way to start your vacation also.

BTW, welcome to the boards and have a great WDW vacation.... trust me it won't be your last!!
