Fireworks & Ohanas???

We will be dining at Ohanas for the first time, in October - on the evening that we arrive.

Our PS is for 6:40 pm. Any chance of being able to see the fireworks?

It's going to depend on several factors. You didn't say what night of the week you will be there. Frequently at that time of year, there are only MK fireworks one or two nights per week. Have you checked the official Disney site for MK hours and fireworks schedules for the time you are visiting?
