Where are the fire depts? Oh my gosh I am stunned my dh has finally said something that he wants to do while at disney. :cool1: Been planning for a year and he would say what ever. Any way He is on the local fire dept here, and said he wants to take a couple hats and trade them with some other fire dept guys for hats. So were is the fire dept in disney at? Does each park have one? Any pictures of the guys or the building, trucks Thanks

There is a really cool one across from SS. It has a firehose fountain in the front. The other is across the street from the turn for Pop Century.

The fire department there also has a website you can check out. I don't remember it off the top of my head, but it's the Reedy Creek Fire Department. Orlando Fire is also close by. Have him check out the fire station in the MK too. You can put one of your patches on the wall, and they have some really cool Disney Fire Department stuff for sale.

Have fun

WDW is protected by the Reedy Creek Fire Department. :firefight Their homepage is here: http://www.reedycreek.org/about.html.

Their stations are at 651 Buena Vista Drive (Epcot), 1600 Buena Vista Drive (AK/AS), 1000 Florida Way (MK), and 1920 E. Buena Vista Drive (DTD/SSR).

Just a bit of trivia about Reedy Creek -- When Walt Disney was buying the land for WDW, he used fake names and dummy corporations. This way the land prices would stay low -- if the sellers knew it was Disney buying the land the prices would have skyrocketed. Among the names used were M.T. Lott (which is written on a street window on Main Street now) and Reedy Creek. Reedy Creek mainly handles the environmental, fire dept, and associated goings on at WDW (but I hear they do work off property too).

Tell him also that if his Department has a patch that in the Magic Kingdom just as you walk in to the left is the "Magic Kingdom Fire Dept"..They have a large display of patches there...I was just there and forgot mine again... :(

There are actually four fire stations at WDW and they are currently building a 5th. The existing stations are across from Saratoga Springs, behind the McDonalds near the All-Stars, on Beuna Vista Drive at the corner of Victory way, and just north of the Magic Kingdom. The 5th one is being built in the vicinity of the water treatment plant and nursery near the new western way connector road.

Bump Thanks everyone. Doe they wear base ball hats, with fire dept info on them. Any one have pictures?
