So, I received a notification from title company that our deed has closed, as well. Does Disney really still take 4-6 weeks to transfer and load the points from the deed recording date? Is that normal or just a cautionary guideline? To the ones that have gone through this to completion, what's your experience on time from deed close to points loading?Deed was recorded 12/18 and waiting as well.
Yes it can take that long. When we closed last February, took a little over 3 weeks to get the points. I think it’s usually a little shorter if you already have an existing account and they just need to load them. It seems like some people are getting their points faster than usual latelySo, I received a notification from title company that our deed has closed, as well. The Closing Time thread linked two comments above yours will show you how long it is taking for points to load after closing. So, I received a notification from title company that our deed has closed, as well. Normally 3 weeks. It could be longer because of the backup from the holidays, pushing it to 4-6 weeks. So, I received a notification from title company that our deed has closed, as well. Sorry they took it but congrats on those negotiating skills!! Worth a shot to see if it could slip by and pass imo.APDVC---$135-$28264-200-VGF-Apr-0/24, 0/25, 75/26, 200/27 - sent 12/22. Taken 12/30.
Unfortunately Disney exercised their right this time, but at this price we were already aware of the likelihood of this happening so although not the outcome we wanted, we go again…
Definitely! You never know what could have happened as only back in October the highest buy back price was $135, so worth a shot.Sorry they took it but congrats on those negotiating skills!! Worth a shot to see if it could slip by and pass imo.
Have you compared the price of buying direct vs resale at Poly? The spread isnt nearly as large as at VGF so may be worthwhile to run the numbers. As Disney exercised their ROFR on our recent $135pp VGF contract (as expected at that price) we were definitely disappointed but had to try for it at that price. As one door closes another opens…
The resort that’s always had our hearts since our first stay is the Poly, but was so rarely at a price we wanted go to. However, less than 24 hours since our ROFR failure we’ve managed to already be going back to ROFR on a great Poly contract price and we can’t help but feel everything happens for a reason so…fingers crossed Disney not buying back a single PVB contract in 2025 continues..
