So glad Grandma doesn't have to go thru the laser surgery. :)

Ohhh you need to check out Magnetron over in DTD on the West Side. It is magnet heaven!

By the way, I was at DTD tonight and I saw Duffy both in the World of Disney store and Once Upon a Toy store. I wanted to let you know where you can pick him up.

Thanks Crissy, my family is very relieved that she doesn't have to have surgery.

Oh no, I might send way too much money in store dedicated to magnets. Thanks for the tip on the Duffman (that's what I'm going to call mine, when I get one)

Oh yeaaah, I did that. A list definitely helps a lot.

What I did, is I wrote down EVERYTHING that I wanted. Then as time went by and I looked at the list, I crossed off the stuff that I know I really don't need to get, and went to WDW with my final list of stuff that I still really want, even after all that time.

Oooh, a frame and a t-shirt with the year is always a must for me.

I have a feeling I might do something crazy like buy a giant Stitch plushie and have to buy an extra seat on the plane ride home for it. :rotfl2:
But I think Steve would physically carry me out of the store before I did that.

I have to post this here for the other addicts who understand.

Yesterday my new phone came in and I was looking through ring tones on the internet. I can't stand the generic ones that come with the phone. While looking for a cool sound to alert me of a text message I found sound from Star Tours. You know that tone when the droid in the ride starts up.

I haven't heard that sound in 12 years, and the moment I heard it, I got butterflies in my stomach and a warm fuzzy feeling in my heart. I seriously was transported back to my child hood. :cloud9:

Then I realized that the Star Tours will be closed for rehab when we are there in march. :guilty: Oh well.

There are a few things I'd like to get for my upcoming trip.

- Tie Dye Mickey shirt

- Mickey Head Crocs

- A new bag for the Parks

- LGMH

I think that's about it. Not too bad.
Did you need the post for the die dyed shirts? I can dig up post for ya. I think someone posted it on my TR (PTR?)

I understand! ::yes::

Which phone did you get? A lot of the new phones can use an MP3 and you can trim it down for your ring tone. :goodvibes

I got a pantech Jest. Not a crazy smart phone, unfortunately. I'm just a bit too poor for a fancy-schmancy phone. Although I seriously thought about getting one just so I can use the "Lines" app I heard so much awesome stuff about.

That cross body bag is adorable! I love it! :)

Aw, well since Stars Tours will be closed, you'll just have to come back again soon...:rolleyes1

Just put in my vacation time, and I found out it timing could be more perfect. I work for a college building their online courses and it's right after we build all the courses for one term and the start of the term. It will be a perfect vacation after what will be a busy few weeks at work.

That means it's time for dancing. :cool1::cool1::banana::banana::dance3::woohoo:

Do you think he'll officially propose with a ring on this trip? Disney has some really cute rings in case he gets the inspiration while he's there. :)

LOL, Tim. I've run out of weddings to attend for family & friends. Everyone else is married, so I gotta push Kristin's fiancee to get the ring, so she can start planning ;) Then I can go attend the ceremony at the Wedding Pavilion. :rotfl: Don't worry Kristin, I'm not inviting myself to the reception. :lmao:

They have Disney engagement rings that were named after the Princesses. I think that came out last year. My fiancee tried to look into their pricing but I think they were up there in price. I meant all the cute Mickey rings they have all over the stores. I always told my fiancee to get me one of those - heck I didn't care what ring I got as long as I got a ring. I didn't care about the value of the ring but the meaning of the ring (that's the honest truth). Surprisingly he was the one concerned about the cost of the ring.

I dunno. But it would be really cool if he proposed on the trip. And if any of my Dis friends were in the area when I do get hitched, I would love to include them some how.

And Tim, I think Disney money is sort of like the Japanese Yen. Just take what it would normally cost in the real world and add a zero or three.:rotfl:

I"m so sorry I have been MIA lately- sometimes I forget to come over to the PTR side of the boards, and miss out on a bunch of stuff. DANG!

Soooo... what's this about you getting married!? I'm with Tim, you would seriously pay a zillion bucks for a ring there! You could just use a Coke tab or something and then get a more reasonable priced something else later. :lmao:

Meh, Life happens sometimes, I know how it goes. You've got plenty of people in your house to keep you busy.

But anywho here is the what Crissy is referring to.

I've started reading Lurkyloo's TR to Tokyo, Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea Tokyo, then her Disney Wedding TR. Her TRs are highly entertaining, well written and are loaded with great photos.

This got me thinking, my DBF are going to get married sooner than later, we're basically engaged I just don't have a ring yet. We've been together for almost 8 years, since high school. I have a gut feeling this will be the year he finally asks me offically. So I thought, "heh it wouldn't hurt to price a Disney wedding right......right.:confused3"

WRONG! I have been smitten. :love:Smitten by the Disney Fairy Tale Wedding.

The Disney Escape Wedding is exactly what I've always wanted. Something small and intimate with the people I care about the most. I don't want a huge fancy pants wedding anyways and it's actually affordable. I don't need to ride in cinderella's coach with a major domo or some huge ballroom reception.

Imagine if you will, 18 of my closest family and friends, gathered at the Gazebo at the Yacht Club for the ceremony, Then on to a small Lunch reception at Beaches and Cream (Because my DBF and I really love a good hamburger and a sundea) and spending the evening at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party ending the day with HalloWishes.

I mentioned it to Steve and he LOVED the idea as much as I did. Then he laughed when I said "Not that I'm really planning or anything but I already thought of the 18 people" :lmao:

I wanted to share this idea with you guys because being a Disneyholic like myself I'm sure you would appreciate it.

I figured rather than having people go to a million different pages, I just quoted myself. I hope this isn't like dividing by zero and I'm not going to cause a ripple in the space-time continuum

But Steve loved he idea and my Mom LOVED it even more. She did more research the very next morning after telling her my idea. My dad keeps being a fuddy-duddy saying "You need a ring first"

To that I say: pfft :rolleyes2 Technicalities

Yes, rings ARE important! And I REALLy like the idea of a small gathering then hitting up B&C and the party! What a perfect way to enjoy a celebration of that kind! I would love to be our photographer. If you need one. Which I'm sure you do.

Let me check my calendar. And my stock of rings.

Well I will keep you in mind Liesa! :thumbsup2

My mom had an idea of doing a brunch at Chef Mickey's. Then you don't have to pay extra for the characters.

And I would definitely organize some kind of DISmeet for people celebrate with me.

OOOhhh I just thought of something: I have to think of how I want to decorate my resort room window and/door.

LOL, tell Steve your Disfriends are looking for a ring (I'm sure he'll love this). :rotfl: It reminds me of when my family was putting pressure every special occassion for my fiancee to get my ring.

I think an easy decoration would be to go to Home Depot and get some of the Mickey head paint samples. You can cut them out and tape them on the window. Ooh, you could spell out your names. :goodvibes I actually took a nice supply of the mickey heads, cut them out and taped them to my mirror for a decoration. And I used it as name tags for my nieces gifts this Christmas. :rotfl:

I normally wouldn't be all like "Hey people look at me, look at me" However, desperate times call for desperate measures. This weekend I was in the hospital and they found huge cysts on my ovaries. One is the size of a tennis ball. Now I will need to undergo surgery to remove them.

I'm optomistic that everything will be fine, but I'll take all the prayers and pixie dust I can get.

This is not put a damper on my trip! I should be having surgery fairly soon, so that means I should be fine by the time my trip rolls around. If worse comes to worst, Steve and I will drive down to Florida, and I'll take rent a scooter and get a GAC.
