Oh Kristin, I'm sorry to hear that Grandma won't make it on the trip this year. But perhaps it'll be better in the long run. You'll know all the places you want to check out when you have Grandma and all the little ones.

Please tell Grandma your Dis friends send their prayers for her upcoming surgery. She's a lot braver than me with the laser eye surgery. It scares me, so I've just stuck with my glasses.

I'll check back in a few mins since it seems you'll be adding more details about your new trip. :)

I can't really afford to take 4 people on vacation, but I can however afford to take 2 people. I also noticed that if I move the dates up a week the prices go from Peak season prices to Regular season tickets. Also I can get the Early Spring deal. That will actually be the week of Steve and my anniversary. So, the new dates are

March 28th - April 1

I think I may still be around to meet up with Erin and her kids. I hope I will be at least.

We will also be staying at....

drumroll please

POP CENTURY

I just booked are room for the new trip and made our new ADR's. I plan on getting our tickets from Undercover Tourist.

Also after a few days in Disney Steve and I will be spending a few days with his Dad and Stepmother in Deland, FL which is about an 1 hour north of Orlando.
My mom also remembered that she has a free ticket on Southwest Airlines that she has to use up. So Steve and I will be flying now.
I also desperately want to go to IoA to see the Harry Potter park but we won't have a car now. I'm seriously thinking about looking into renting one though. I don't really see the point when we can take Disney transportation everywhere. Now to once again change the ticker. Le Sigh :sad2:

Aw, that is so wonderful that you get to spend your anniversary in Disney! What day is it? You'll be here right after my birthday (March 24th).

Maybe you can convince his family into checking IoA one of the days you are with them?

That is fantastic that you get to save a little on the airline tickets.

Maybe you can check out renting a car from the Swan/Dolphin. I think they have National & Alamo there. We rented from that National when we first moved down here and they were super friendly. DF was able to use some discounts he found (I think he's signed up for their Emerald Aisle club) and we also used a coupon from BJ's Wholesale Club since we have a membership there too.

Wow, Crissy you're fast. I think I was away from the board for 5 minutes while I made a new ticker and added it to my signature and you'd already made 2 posts by the time I refreshed the page. lol. I had no idea you can rent cars at the Swan/Dolphin. Sweet. I actually thought about see if Steve Dad and Stepmom would like to go to IoA. His Stepmom went there earlier this year and loved it. She's one of those Disney Haters because there aren't enough crazy thrill rides there. :confused3 But any who... if you're around when we are I would absolutely love to meet up with you. What part of Florida do you live in?

LOL, I'm literally within mins to Disney. Its probably about 15 mins on a bad day. Sure, we can try to meet up. I'm still applying for jobs and I'm really praying I'll have landed one by then, but for now I'm free. :)

LOL, yeah I've been lurking a lot late at nights while I wait for DF to come home from work and I saw your post and was like 'Oh no, I gotta check it out'.

I hope you can go to IoA with his parents. That'll make the trip even more memorable.

Wow, all new plans! Too bad you're grandma's not feeling up for travelling. I hope her surgeries go well.

Well, an anniversary trip isn't bad either! It'll just be an intimate trip with you and Steve!

And you'll be staying at the Pop! I just love it there.

I’m so sorry that the girls trip didn’t work out! I agree that your grandma is brave because laser eye surgery scares the heck outta me! That is wonderful she has 20/20 vision in one eye, though! She sounds like a very strong and independent woman, so I can see why she felt uncomfortable about not having the money she wanted for the trip. Mia also seems to be a very strong girl – she is a trooper for being understanding about the trip. Plus, a renaissance fair sounds like fun!

It’s great that you were able to take it in stride and book a trip for you and Steve! I wish our dates still overlapped! April 1st is going to be our first driving day, so we won’t be in Orlando until the 2nd :( but we can still be PTR buddies! :thumbsup2 I can hardly believe all of the plans you already have set up! It’s awesome you were able to get ADRs at some great restaurants! I would have thought good places like Kona Café would have been all booked up! I want to go to Kona Café so bad! I keep seeing pictures of the breakfast there on different TRs and I just drool! We’ll be at T-Rex exactly a week after you and we’re having breakfast at Starring Rolls on our HS day (Chip’s B-day) too! Great minds think alike! I’m so excited for your anniversary trip! What a great get away for you two!

Thanks Erin. I'm so bummed that we won't be down there at the same time. But of course we can read eachother's PTRs and TRs! I really need to catch up on yours by the way.

What? You're going to be at the MK on your first night and not get your Dole Whip? :) Are you sure you can resist that temptation? :lmao:

Here is Steve and I at one of my baby cousin's birthday party.

There are a few things I'd like to get for my upcoming trip.

- Tie Dye Mickey shirt

- Mickey Head Crocs

- A new bag for the Parks

- LGMH

I think that's about it. Not too bad.

You guys are an adorable couple! :)

Your list is super easy to accomplish. Do you have the instructions for the tie dye shirts? I'm sure one of the Big Give ladies can tell you and I know I've come across a thread in the craft area with step by step directions.

It turns out that my grandmother will NOT need laser eye surgery after all. She still has to get the cataract taken care of in the other eye but that's easy compared to what we thought she'd need. Although, it is a bit freaky after surgery when one pupil is dilated and the other isn't.

I'm hoping that by making a list,
(i'm a bit neurotic about making lists, can you tell, things will only get nuttier once I start packing)
making a list **ahem** of things I want to bring home from Disney in order to curb impulse buying (I know, who am I kidding right:lmao:)

Here are a few things I want to bring home from the World:

- a new coffee mug for at the office

- a frame for my desk to hold my favorite photopass picture

- A few magnets for my fridge (i only have one lonely magnet from Dominoes Pizza currently)

- a Disney T-shirt

Now I know I'm going to see something else while I'm there that I don't need but I really want.

Oh yeaaah, I did that. A list definitely helps a lot.

What I did, is I wrote down EVERYTHING that I wanted. Then as time went by and I looked at the list, I crossed off the stuff that I know I really don't need to get, and went to WDW with my final list of stuff that I still really want, even after all that time.

Oooh, a frame and a t-shirt with the year is always a must for me.

So glad Grandma doesn't have to go thru the laser surgery. :)

Ohhh you need to check out Magnetron over in DTD on the West Side. It is magnet heaven!

By the way, I was at DTD tonight and I saw Duffy both in the World of Disney store and Once Upon a Toy store. I wanted to let you know where you can pick him up.
