I know my PTR has been lacking pictures. The reason is because I forgot my camera at my friends house on new years eve.:headache: d'oh. However I will add some generic internet picture not take by myself.

Here are some idea I've thought of for my resort room window decorations.

I'm currently working on this pattern for valentines day.

I want to modify this pattern with crocheted Mickey Head in lime green. hehe.

And I found these on the Joann Fabrics site that I want to pick up to hang in the window

I'm also going to make some stuff in photoshop to hang up. I'm think maybe a picture of Lady and the Tramp. Or different Disney Couples per se. lol.

We decorated our window at POP last October... no one said one word to us about it though.:confused3 We thought it was cool. :cool2:

I normally wouldn't be all like "Hey people look at me, look at me" However, desperate times call for desperate measures. This weekend I was in the hospital and they found huge cysts on my ovaries. One is the size of a tennis ball. Now I will need to undergo surgery to remove them.

I'm optomistic that everything will be fine, but I'll take all the prayers and pixie dust I can get.

This is not put a damper on my trip! I should be having surgery fairly soon, so that means I should be fine by the time my trip rolls around. If worse comes to worst, Steve and I will drive down to Florida, and I'll take rent a scooter and get a GAC.
I'm so sorry to hear this.. I missed this earlier.

We will be keeping you in our prayers.

Firstly Kristin, I'm sending lots of pixie dust, hugs, and prayers to you for your upcoming surgery.

I can't wait for you to come to Disney, with all that you've been through to get here, I hope it'll be a really magical trip for you. :)

I like the hearts, those are really pretty. You can crochet/knit? That is awesome! Andre's (DF) sister knits and I'm totally amazed at the stuff she makes. I keep meaning to learn how to do it.

BTW, it clicked in my head just now in case you are interested there are some Fridge Swaps in the Budget board that you can check out and see if your dates are free. The fridge swaps are free.

Hey Crissy. Thank you so much for the pixie dust and prayers. :lovestruc

I actually both crochet and knit. I learned to knit first and then learned to crochet because I wanted to learn to make amigurumis. Those are the little crocheted dolls that originate from Japan.

Kristen- are you and Chrissy gonna meet in while you are in Disney? Did I miss this talk? :confused3

OMG how did I get so behind? Well, I'm all caught up now and want to wish you well on your upcoming surgery. My prayers are with you and please let us know when you're going in for surgery so that we can send some more prayers up for you! My friend had the same procedure about 10 years ago and she recovered very nicely and very quickly, so I'm sure you'll be just fine for your trip :goodvibes:

I'm glad to hear your grandma won't have to have the laser eye surgery!

I'm also glad to hear that I'm not the only one making a souvenir list! :lmao:

I totally agree with this statement:

I think Disney money is sort of like the Japanese Yen. Just take what it would normally cost in the real world and add a zero or three.:rotfl:

I have absolutely no problem paying $30+ per plate to have breakfast with Cinderella! In the real world, a $100 breakfast wouldn't fly ;-)

It does sound like love, engagements and weddings are in the air! No pressure on Steve, but Disney World would be a wonderful place to get engaged!

Yeah, I'm hoping we're able to meet. Even if I start working by then I should have a free day on one of her days during her trip. :)

Are you thinking of planning a trip then? Gasp - could I possibly meet the princess? :rotfl: (Notice more excitement for the possibility of meeting the princess, LOL!)

Kristin, if you get a chance you should post some pics of some stuff you've made. :)

That's cool. ::yes::

You never know what's up my sleeve...... popcorn:: :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Thank you so much Erin. I appreciate all the prayer.

I figured since Crissy leave so close to Disney why not!

Just wanted to drop in a say HIYA to everyone. It looks like I'll have to change to dates yet AGAIN!! Now personal days I was going to us from work, will have to go towards my upcoming hospital stay instead of my vacation. :guilty:

So, I think we might move the trip to my birthday in October. That means MNSSHP!!!

I was also thinking about SSW but I've been to Disney in June and it is HOT:furious: and CROWDED.

So I think October would be a better bet.

It would also just be Steve and myself going.

I'm thinking about flying out Friday October 21 and our first park day would be my BIRTHDAY!!

I really want to have breakfast at Crystal Palace on my birthday and do MNSSHP that day too.

Now, what is everyone's opinion about Birthday Buttons. I'm going to get one for sure but what do you think about people who wear it their ENTIRE trip and not just on their actual birthday?? I feel like I would really be milking it if I wore the button everyday on my trip.

Hope people in the Midwest were ok with the crazy Blizzard.

Woow, I hope the surgery goes well.

And MORE changes oh my! Which means more reservatiosn changes too. Booo.

Hm...my opinion on the birthday buttons...I think it's just more special to wear it on the one day. I'm all for people that wear it all trip, because that's the norm. I know when Andrew wore the birthday button, it was made more special because that was the only day he wore it! We also wore our "Happy Anniversary" buttons on the one day I was planning to celebrate it. Definitely makes that one day extra speical.

Those crocheted hearts look so cuute!

I also LOVE the Kermit bag. Great deal too!

Hiya, back at ya!! Sorry I fell desperately behind, but am caught up now.

Good luck on the surgery- blessings on a quick recovery too!

Changing dates must be frustrating, but I do LOVE that you can make your birthday your first day!! AND a party day to boot!!!:banana::banana:

Birthday buttons: Either way!! Really, it might be more special to wear it on the one day, but you aren't guaranteed to get ANYTHING special, so if you wear it say, 2 days you might get an extra cupcake or something that would make a nice photo op? I dunno, really I think it's what you're most comfy with. :thumbsup2

Oh, I'm so sorry you have to change dates because of limited time off now. I'm concerned about my trip too because Mother Nature has been playing fast and loose with my PTO by giving us all of this snow and ice. I've had to take off several days and 1/2 days due to the weather. As of right now, I have EXACTLY 40 hours of PTO, so if there is another snow day, I'll have to use a vacation day :( But I can't/won't cancel my trip, I just won't get paid for that day off. Totally sux. Anyway, October would be fantastic for you guys! Warm, but not surface-of-the-sun hot. MNSSHP. Your birthday! October sounds wonderful!

About the birthday button, my opinion is to wear it all week! Personally, when my birthday falls within a weekend, I call it "My Birthday Weekend" and I celebrate the whole time. But maybe I'm just a diva ;) Seriously, though, celebrate your birthday while you're still young enough to enjoy celebrating them :lmao: Plus, who couldn't use a little more pixie dust at WDW? pixiedust:

Bummer you have to change your dates again but I admire that you are so determined to come. :thumbsup2

You are going to LOVE MNSSHP!! It it sooo much fun and you must do costumes!! ;)

If you're just wearing the button without any hopes for extra perks, then wear it for your entire vacation. There's nothing wrong with being told Happy Birthday during your whole trip. I think that would be fun. :)

I've picked new dates!!!!

I was just looking at the "A Brief look at 2011" thread and it states the week of my birthday is actually the best week in October to go. SOOOoo...

The new dates are:

October 21 - 27

There are a lot of special events going on, MNSSHP and F&W.

Steve promises me that I will go to Disney this year!!!

Well Guys, I now have a reason to lurk in the Disney Weddings & Honeymoon board. My Darling Boyfriend is now my Darling Fiance!!! He just proposed to me an hour or so ago.

I've been sick all day after a nasty test at the hospital early this morning. We had planned on going to our favorite Japanese restaurant for dinner but I wasn't feeling up to it. So he ran to his mom's house for a bit while I rested at home on the couch catching up on Dexter. Then he walked in the door with a dozen gerber daisies (my favorite flowers) and got down on one knee in the kitchen and asked to marry me.

He had a about a million other ideas but my sickness prevented him from making them happen. He was actually going to drive down to Disney while I was there with my grandma and Mia, find my in the MK, surprise me and propose to me there. I have to say that is an amazing plan but what he did today totally caught me off guard and it was still special.
