Finally found the "trash can" operator

Thanks for the pic Dznefreek...he is that close huh? I was wondering how the person could hear the kids talking back to him....I was thinking some kind of microphone inside the can, but he's just right there...cool.

Just googled madly....the name of the reycle bin at AK is PIPA....

ooopss! I had no idea! I think his "flap" said PUSH on it still...like all trash cans so I never imagined he had another name!

I had no idea about this one. Is there a guy inside the can you can talk to? I have never heard of the tree either. My kids would get a kick out of this ione. Usually in the MK?

PUSH is a trashcan at Tomorrowland in MK, and WES PALM is a tree at AK. There is not anyone inside, but there is an "operator" that controls them and "voices" them (there is a photo in a previous post). He (or she?) is dressed in cognito, so he/she blends in really well. But PUSH is really fun. It interacts really well with the people.

polyguy - i am pretty sure that Dznefreak's pic is two seperate pics spliced together.

the operator is generally a few feet away from the can itself.

DOH! You are correct. IT looks like the pic is spliced together. I just wonder how the guy can hear all the stuff the kids are saying if he is not close...

Yes it is a sliced picture. He stands about 20 feet away.
