Final season of ER - Dr Ross to make a guest appearance!!

what an episode! i agree with everyone here..it was like the old days!!
question though....
were the doc greene flashbacks part of an actual episode from forever ago? or did they just recently film all the flashbacks? everyone that they showed looked just as they did from forever ago...and it's been a few years!
another question....why/how did jerry leave? i had forgotten about him!

This episode was just filmed, it was not a cut & paste episode using old footage. I can't remember if they actually said why Jerry left?

they recently filmed that...that is anthony edwards NOW. i found myself wishing, somehow, some way, they could really bring him back and continue the show, maybe make it just a dream, like they did on dallas with bobby ewing! ha ha, i'm just kidding, but i love how they did last nights show!

i was wondering last night about jerry too, i can't remember how he left the show??

That was a big sob fest! I hate when they put kids on ER because it just breaks my heart - then to have two, UGH!

I even liked the detail of how they put a fat suit on Nurse Halaway. :)

I missed the first few minutes. I am going to have to go to NBC and watch it.

The episode was filmed just a few weeks ago as other posters have said. The flashbacks are set to take place in the last few weeks before Mark leaves for Hawaii. The chemo, the pills, asking if Elizabeth was working and then saying how much he misses her and will visit her that night.
Also, we know how Jerry left- he died in the beginning of Season 13 (2006) which was the episode with Sam's ex-husband holding Luka hostage, Abby gives birth, etc.

I know Jerry got shot but I didn't think he died :confused3

I thought Jerry lived, but just stopped working (to go do Men In Trees).

i think she was the main reason i thought the flashbacks were from awhile ago...cuz i thought she slimmed down from her first few years. everyone looks the same as when they were on then.

:sad2: i didn't realize jerry died!!

Do you mean Halay (sp?) the nurse and not Hathaway who was with Clooneys character (Maguiles)? If you mean Halay she had gastic bypass and has lost a ton of weight in real life.

ER always has a way of making you think something is going to happen, and twisting it 180 degrees around (like when Lucy and Carter both got attacked by the crazy man)
It was a season or so after that I stopped watching the show. I didn't really decide to stop, I just kinda did ... I just trailed off.

That episode and the one after it -- when Weaver discovered the two of them after an agonizing, leisurely opening where the viewer knows the two of them are lying there bleeding out -- are some of my most vivid memories of the series. The sight of Lucy lying there with terror in her eyes when Carter first sees that she's been attacked, and of Romano's shocking sadness and anger in the next episode when he's unable to save her -- really stayed with me for a long time. I remember lying awake for hours after seeing the first one. Kind of traumatic, in a way ...

Last night's episode was really good! It was really a tear jerker tho :sad1:
It was good to see Dr. Greene and a small cameo of Dr. Romano :)

I agree - awesome episode. I miss caring about the characters. They should have ended it years ago. I still watch though. Can't remmeber the last time I cried watching- i did last night - hate when they have kids die.

I don't think Jerry died either.

Anyone know if this is online somewhere, or if they will repeat it?

I missed it, and would love to see it - especially Romano! I didn't know he was going to be on it too!

Oh man it made me cry.. And I feel the same way about Greene, it felt like an old friend.

I am pretty sure Haley put weight back on the year after her surgery..I don't remember Jerry dying!

I found the part of the episode where Dr Greene dies. I bawled my eyes out then and again just now rewatching it.
