Final season of ER - Dr Ross to make a guest appearance!!

I cried :(

Carrie, Ramona, Jerry & Halay (sp?)..........I would have loved Elizabeth to have been there at the end w/ Mark :lovestruc

I did hear Carter is coming back for more than one episode towards the end of the series. :( (:( for the end not Carter :cool1: )

I also heard they are in talks w/ 'Doug' & 'Carol' .........but no luck yet pixiedust: may work :confused3

it was nice to see all the old faces, and Dr. Romano reminded us why we laughed when he got swished by a helicopter!:rotfl2:

yep It had to have been his 2nd battle with cancer right before he died. At the end when he was onthe phone with Elizabeth he was telling her how much he missed her and wanted to see her.

It felt like the old ER...I haven't watched really since Carter left other than catching a show here and there.

Last night's episode was great. It was great seeing Dr. Greene and other old faces again.

It also made you feel sorry for Dr. Banfield and understand her a little bit better (why she has such an attitude).

Great episode, it felt like the old ER again!! :thumbsup2

It did make one long for the old ER, the ER that was my favorite show once upon a time. Thanks to the PP who reminded me of the names of the former characters...Romano, Carrie, Jerry, Hallie and of course Mark Greene.

This episode was directed and choreographed so well and the characters of Dr Banfield and her husband's acting, while that gripping music played in the back ground..well have the tissues handy!

Television at it's beat!

Halay's always been on the show.

The old faces I saw were Mark, Carrie, Romano and Jerry.

It was a great episode and it made me hug my daughter tighter than usual this morning.

Beautiful episode. I cried so hard. Like a PP, it reminded me why once upon a time I loved ER. It seems the past couple of years, I've watched it out of habit, not really enjoying it. I enjoyed this episode. After a lackluster Grey's right before it, it really hit the nail on the head as to what a good hospital drama should be.

I loved last nights episode, seeing Dr Mark Greene was like seeing an old friend. The thing that shocked me was finding out that Michal Crighton had died a few days ago. His writing and collaboration on ER during the earlier seasons made it wonderful.

E.R. star ANTHONY EDWARDS has paid tribute to the show's creator MICHAEL CRICHTON, who lost his battle with cancer last week (05Nov08) at the age of 66.
Edwards starred in the hugely successful medical drama from the first episode in 1994 until his character Dr Mark Greene died in 2002.
He returns in flashback scenes during the show's final season - and is sorry Crichton couldn't live to see his creation come to an end.
Edwards says, "Michael Crichton was the original creator of E.R. He really based E.R. on his life as a young medical doctor. Michael was always really proud of the fact he had created something and passed it on. He was the starter of it all. He will be greatly missed."

I missed the first few minutes, but the rest of the show....wow. Seeing Dr. Greene....was so great. Why does this actor touch us all so much? It was like seeing an old friend again.

I, too, hugged my kids a little tighter today.

Wow--that brought on an ugly, ugly cry. :sad1:

So great to see the old docs back. Felt like home again. :guilty:

Big time fan jumping in here! OMG I loved last nite's episode. I have been looking forward to it since they announced his return and I was planted on the couch anxiously waiting. While I love ER, there have been very few episodes that have really made me cry...Dr. Greene dying had me sobbing as if I had lost a member of my family! The minute he stepped on screen last nite, I started crying. It was so good to see him, even if it was in memories. I think they did a wonderful job of tying Banfield into him. It also made me truly start to like and feel for her as well.

Don't forget about Dr Benton doing the opening tribute to Michael Crichton.

Overall, it was a great episode. I LOVED being able to see Romano again!

Well, I missed the first few minutes, and fell asleep on it (I wake up at 5 for work, so it is a challenge to stay up past 10.

So Mark wasn't able to save the boy? From the tone of the episode, I couldn't predict if he had died or was rendered incapacitated/brain damaged and was put into a long-term care facility [I knew he wasn't patched up and sent on his merry way - that would not have made Angela all conflicted and what not].

WOW! What an episode! I have been a "since day 1 watcher" of ER and this is definitely from the "old" type of ER and not of the last couple of years format.

Dr Bentons/Eric LaSalles Intro about the passing of Michael Crichton was heartfelt and made me teary eyed.

I liked the tie in from Old ER - Dr Green to new ER - Banfield. The whole "what happened" and how she is the way she is made her seem like a more "real" character vs. someone you just can't figure out or dislike just because of how she acts. She has had moments in her short ER career where she has been both a hard@** and heart felt. You see the conflict of her trying to be a human being and compassionate to cold & act like a witch and just push the clinical aspect of being a doctor. This showed us why she is trying to operate an efficient clinical ER but also why she feels for the patient and even the physicians. Dr Greene did not save Banfields son - he was pronounced and Banfields patient (the girl) supposedly survived and was sent to the OR to close her chest.

Romano made me laugh - I couldn't stand him but he was a character you loved to hate if you KWIM. His comment about to Greene about "well you didn't have to go and get cancer on us" was typical Romano behavior.

I heard last night that Clooney has agreed to play a part in the ending of this series. I would love to see him & Marguiles have a role with maybe their twin girls??? And rumour had it that Carter would be ending the season taking over as the ER chief :confused3 Not sure but that was the speculation I had heard somewhere along the line.

Sorry to say I missed this...:headache:

:rotfl: YES- this is the line I was trying to remember! I can't describe how much I miss the "old" ER. It changed dramatically when Dr. Greene died and there was no way it could have ever been the same again. There are just no words...

I TOTALLY missed seeing Dr. Weaver; what part of the show did she come in?

I liked Eriq LaSalle's tribute to Michael Crichton. Does this mean that Dr. Benton is definitely making a return?

She came in and told Mark he had to get upstairs for his chemo
