I will be staying at Club Wyndham Dolphin's Cove, 465 W Orangewood Avenue.
Can I walk from there to the Toy Story lot and get the shuttle to Disneyland?
The last time I visited (January 2010) I stayed at the Grand Californian via my DVC points. This time there is no availability, so I am using my Wyndham timeshare points.
Thanks.

Yes you can. We have a timeshare at Dolphins cove and do it all the time. It is a longer walk then you think but still not to bad.

Google maps says ,6 miles. Is that my best bet for transport? Thanks.

The ART stops at Harbor/Orangwood, a short walk from the hotel.
Yes, you can get an ART pass and the bus stop is right past Dennys. We used to take the ART bus until we had some run ins with homeless people at the stop. There was a person there that had their ghetto blaster playing gangster rap with all kinds of cuss words etc while people were trying to wait for the bus with their little kids. I politely asked him to turn it off and he got very confrontational.

When I talked to the police outside the Disney resort about the incident they werent willing to do anything and I was just told "Welcome to California."

This is the only time I have had an issue with homeless person being confrontational however there have been multiple times that homeless people are sleeping on the bus stop benches but they have never said anything or caused any problems.

That being said, when we were there in November we walked past the stop to get to the Toy Story parking lot and didn't notice any issues.

You can also cross the street if there is a problem at the bus stop as their is another one across the street with no benches, however you are going away from Disneyland and have to loop back, it adds about 10 minutes to the bus ride.

Yes, I found the ART website with the bus routes, thanks. I am a little confused by the ART buses also running out of the Toy Sotry parking lot. Does that mean there is no free shuttle from there to Disneyland, and the ART bus must be used? In that case it would be a lot closer to use the bus stop you marked,
Thanks.

No there is a free bus from Toy story parking lot. But if you choose to use the regular bus stops for the ART buses then it will cost you. It really depends on whether the extra walk to the Toy Story lot is worth it over spending the money to have a shorter walk.

A couple of things I will note. There is one ART bus that does the loop back and forth to Disneyland from the regular ART Bus stop. Usually on a 20-30 min loop. It doesnt seem to be super consistent on times however so it may be scheduled to be there at say 3:00 and then not show up until 3:15 so times can be iffy.

The Toy story parking lot buses also have their issues. Several times when we went to the park there would be HUGE lines waiting for the Toy Story buses. While there are a lot of busses that run at the Toy Story lot there would be times where there would be 100+ people waiting in line so it may take 2 or so busses before you can get on one.

We are going again in 2 weeks and we have decided to walk to the Toy Story lot rather then the ART bus.

ART is a paid option. It uses a mixture of fixed and on demand service to connect hotels around DLR to DL. It also serves other popular locations beyond DLR, mostly on demand.

Toy Story Shuttle is a free courtesy shuttle provided by Disney to connect the Toy Story parking lot to DLR. Disney allows anybody to ride the shuttle, so you can use it to shorten the walk to your hotel. The Toy Story Shuttle is contracted out to ART but is not an ART service.

I looked over the ART buses briefly. I'm a senior citizen, so the price is pretty low, like $1.25 each way. So it might make sense to save a few blocks extra walk to Toy Story. I'm going at the end of October, so I'm going to look in the morning for how early I'd have to get to either location to make it to rope drop.
Thanks for the information!

Thanks. I briefly checked the ART website, and there is a bus stop much closer to my hotel than the Toy Story location. Being a senior, it looks like it would only cost me about $1.25 each way. so that would probably be worth cutting off a few blocks of walking.
