February Exercise Challenge--Let's get moving and take care of our hearts!

Updated through post #421 :)

I know there are some of us (including me!) who are frustrated about the slow progress towards our goals this month, but I want everyone to hang in there. Every step forward does your body good. February is just a hard month period--icky weather and short!

But at least around here, the weather is slowly improving, the days are getting longer and spring is right around the corner. :flower3:

Hang in there and keep moving. No matter where you end up this month you made an effort and sometimes that has to be good enough.:goodvibes

What's that saying? The battle is 90% mental, 10% physical? I look at it as whatever time is spent not sitting on the couch and moving instead, is always a step forward!:goodvibes

2/21 - 45 mins elliptical, 5 mins abs/pushups/PT exercises

988/1300

50 mins at the gym -
35 on treadmill
15 weights

kinda bummed about being sick again. Got "gluten poisoned" at the beginning of the week, so this was the first day I got back to working out. It felt sooooo good!

I got a good workout in for the first time in awhile. I ran over 4 miles and did all my pt/strength stuff.

I may not be around much over the next couple of days, but I have not abandoned you, I promise!:goodvibes I hope everyone has a healthy, active weekend!

Thanks Rose, I needed that. I have had a pretty rotten february. Seems like every year in feb, something goes crazy wrong in my house - illnesses, injuries, winter storms, work problems, or all of the above!. I'm glad it's only 28 days!!! :)

I did drag my butt down to the treadmill to run tonight for 45 min so now I'm at 360/950.

Today:
Run 8/Walk 2

2 hours 13 minutes

Brings me to:
2416/3000

Happy almost Friday!

Yay finally over 50% :)

55 mins at the gym:
20 on the bike
30 treadmill
5 stretching

Yes, feb is rough. Short, cold, and runny-nosed. But it's over quick!

I would have to do 60 mins every day from now to the end to make goal. But the recommended amount of exercise is 30 mins a day, which I think will be the basis for my goal next month. So if I can hit 975 this month, I'll be happy with that.

53 minutes walking this morning.

I have never challenged myself to exercise a particular amount of time, so I didn't know what to put when the month started. I will have a better idea of what to set for a goal for next month. I'm amazed how motivated I am to report my time!
