Hi...I am emmysdidi...the other half of Cyndi-rella and obviously...Emmy's Didi!!

This is my first time starting a thread since this will only be our second cruise. We were just on the Magic for the March 5th-12th (Western):cool1:

We had such a great time, we decided to book another one while we were there...none of you have ever done that before...have you?;)

Well, anyway...We will be travelling with our friends and their two daughters, who will be 9 and 13!!! Our Emmy is 8 and will also be 9 for the next cruise!

Please introduce yourselves and let's have a great time planning our next vacation!

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :thumbsup2

Hi! We will be cruising on Feb 25th as well- so excited! We are DVC members but this is our first Disney Cruise! It will be me, my husband and our 2 sons Grant (1yr) and Alex (10yr). Thanks for starting a thread for us :)

CONGRATULATIONS, TINKERBELL920...you have just won the grand prize for the first post on our thread!!! Your gift...hmmmm...well, I really don't have one :rolleyes1, but the effect was awesome!!!!

:welcome: Hi, develizweb and Welcome

We saw the new itineraries, as well, but since we are from Nebraska, this one works best for us.

Where are you from?

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

We live 45 min South of Los Angeles...we are flying to PC because we already did the MR, can't afford Hawaii, and the Pacific Coast and Alaska cruises don't interest us because of the cold weather.

Did you enjoy the MR? I am interested in the Hawaiian but 15 days is quite a long time.

We really had a great time in Cozumel. We did the Fury Catamaran :boat: there and we had a GREAT time! It was the best excursion we did.

We are now looking at the excursions in St. Maarten and St. John. Has anyone on here done any of them? :scratchin:

What do you all like to do in the ports?

Yes we liked the MR...enjoyed the beach and a time share resort pool in Puerto Vallarta. Went whale watching in Cabo, saw 15 humpback whales. Cabo is very pretty...we were glad to have 2 days there and skip Mazatlan...especially if they are having safety issues. The downs are that we were afraid to eat anything, couldn't take our eyes off our 3 & 6 year old for half a second, got asked to buy a million things and the water is far from the Caribbean. We are really glad we went but unless Disney offers a kids free we probably won't go back to the MR.

Good Morning, February 25th,, 2010 Magic cruisers...SEE!!! Doesn't roll off the tongue as much as something else...:confused3

I was thinking we could come up with a name for our Cruise thread...What do you all think?

Any suggestions? :chat:

Have a great day~!

Hi all! My husband just finalized our cruise plans today and our whole family will be joining you in the Caribbean with Mickey! There will be a total of 9 adults, 2 little ones (3 and 1.5) and a baby (5 months) in our group. My family (me, DH and DS) just got off the Magic a little over a week ago. It was our first Disney cruise. Needless to say, we fell in love! SO. . . we booked our second cruise onboard, came back raving about the whole trip and my husband's side of the family decided to join in the fun. WE CANNOT WAIT to be back on the ship!!! I can smell the ocean and taste my strawberry banana soft serve from Castaway Cay already!

Looking forward to getting to know you and seeing you all on the ship! :smickey:

:welcome:

K. Ohana!!!

The bug got you too, huh?:jumping1:

I never thought that we would enjoy the cruise as much as we did...But we also found a great family to cruise with so that always helps! What was your favorite part of the cruise?

Quick question for you all...Is anyone booking any resort/park days?

Looking forward to planning with you all!

We are thinking of staying at either the All Stars Movies or World Dolphin...depends on how many reward points we have left after booking our airfare. I think we may just walk around Downtown Disney, the Boardwalk etc...my DH doesn't like amusement parks...maybe I can talk him into the Animal Park

Anyone seen any good resort/ticket deals?

Oh we DEFINITELY caught the bug! Funny thing is. . . I am the Disney fanatic but its my husband that is SO excited about the cruises. He sounds like a sales rep for Disney the way that he talks about it with people. It's no wonder his whole family is going! I love it. :rotfl2:

Wow. Favorite part of the cruise? Where do I start?! There are just too many great things. I think the Key West Butterfly Observatory was my absolute favorite excursion. It was so magical. Small attraction but so beautiful. We did not do the excursion through Disney. We took the trolley around the island and hopped off at the Observatory. Just a relaxing day. As far as the ship goes I really enjoyed watching my son interact with the characters and enjoy the splash zone. And I would have been happy if the ship suddenly had engine problems and we got stuck on Castaway Cay! :rotfl: Now I know why they save it for the end of the trip. I could just do a whole week on that beach and be completely happy.

This next year is going to drag on because we already have cruise-on-the-brain. My husband even went as far as posting "310 days until I am going home" on his facebook page. :rolleyes1 Yeah. . . hahaha!

We've been talking about resort days. Haven't set anything yet. We will see as time progresses.

Any plans to do an FE exchange? Anyone looking into excursion ideas yet?

TTFN:tigger:

We are looking into excursions...we are really wanting something similar to the Fury Catamaran in Cozumel. That was a blast. :hyper2:

As far as the FE, we did participate in one on our last cruise...it was really fun and some folks really got into it! I wouldn't mind coordinating it but I did learn a lesson from last time. There needs to be a cut off date earlier than we had. It seems like we would get exactly what we needed and then there would be additions and drops late in the game...:confused3

Have you all participated in one? What were your experiences?

We did the FE exchange and loved it. Our cruise accepted late comers but the rule was they had to give a gift to each cabin but others could choose to give to them or not depending on if they had enough gifts or not. Seemed like most people chose to give to the late comers.

We would for sure want to do a FE exchange...add us to the list as soon as you start it

We participated in the FE exchange on our last cruise. Our group was fairly small and they did have a cut off date (no exceptions). If I remember correctly they stopped allowing add ons after 6 weeks out from the sail date with our previous FE exchange. I think that was fair and it still gave us plenty of time to get everything together. We would love to join in the fun again!
