Your park information should come with your documents.

You won't receive your tickets for the parks though. What Disney does, is your room key will also be your theme park tickets (if you're staying at a Disney resort). There will also be vouchers for the magical express to Disney World. To tell you the truth, you could probably just show up to the hotel you're staying at (if you're renting a car and collecting your own luggage) without having any of your land documents with you.

We are taking the Auto Train down so that's essentially what we will be doing.

Thanks for the reply!

We've got our cruise docs! We've got our cruise docs! :cool1:  :cheer2:

Like anllily said, it contains luggage tags, cruise contract and transportation vouchers if you're using DCL buses to get to the port.

Woohoo! that means we all should be getting ours soon!:goodvibes

Mine have to go to my TA first and then come to me, so I doubt I'll get them before the end of next week.

So since we are not using Disney transportation the only thing we are looking to get out of these docs is the luggage tags?

For the cruise part yes.

I'm not sure about the land part.:confused3 If your land portion includes any magic your way stuff you'll receive the vouchers for the "freebies" you get as part of a magic your way package. Plus some receipts and other information.

How did they come? Mail service or UPS? 16 days!!!! See ya real soon!!!:rotfl:

Welcome aboard tmahonemoore! :welcome: Have you cruised before?

Our docs came by UPS. I almost didn't seem them! I wasn't there when they were delivered. They were left at the bottom of the window pane next to my front door. When I came back home, I didn't see the white envelope near the white door surrounded by the white snow! I only saw it when I was inside! But now I have them and I only hope I won't have to use too many of those luggage tags!

Hi there everyone!! My name is Lenora (37) and my hubby Irvin (35) and beautiful daughter Katie (4, almost 5) will be joining you all on the 24th. We are so excited. We booked really late so of course we got 2nd dinner seating. And from what I hear we didn't get such a great cabin either. We are in 1048 (don't cringe). I really wish we could upgrade but when I went to the website the only thing left on there was an inside cabin. So I don't know...

We don't have any excursions planned. We did excursions the last time we cruised (on Carnival) and was disappointed because I was seasick the whole time and didn't get to enjoy them. We were planning on doing the self guided tour in Nassau but I've heard (and read) that the crime rate in Nassau is really high. I even read that people have come up to you saying that they were a taxi and then take you down the road and rob you. So, my paranoia at work I've decided that we are just going to go to the Pirate Museum and take the carriage ride and then come back to the ship.

On Castaway Cay we've decided just to lounge on the beach. LOL

I've actually been packed for over a month. LOL I like to do things early. Well, except book the cruise... lol but I was only waiting because I was (lied to) told that you get better deals when you wait until right before sailing. Actually it went up. LOL (Egg on face now)

I still haven't received any docs yet but I'm wondering if I'm even going to get them with booking so close to sailing.

We are arriving in Florida on the 23rd. We're driving all the way from Texas. My mom is dropping us off at the pier and then staying in a hotel until we get back. After we get back, she is picking us up and then we're going to the Richard Petty Driving Experience. Then going to bingo that night. And then the next day we are going to Magic Kingdom. We're even having dinner at the Royal Palace with Cinderella. I've decided that we're going to take Katie to the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique and get her all made up by the Fairy Godmother.

Well, if anyone knows how I can beg, borrow, or steal from Disney Cruise to give me an upgrade please let me know. LOL

Lenora

Lenora,

:welcome: :welcome:

Sorry, I don't have any infomation about upgrading as this is my first cruise. But...

If I read correctly, you said your mom is driving you to the port and then staying in a hotel until you get back?? If this is correct, why? Does she not like to cruise? oR could you just not fit her in your stateroom? Sorry to pry, I just HAD to ask. You know on these wonderful boards someone may be willing to 'book" her in their room and then she atys with you and your family. Although I have never done this ( it is our first time cruising) I have read where people do it and it works out fine. But, just a thought.

Also, the DISers are meeting on Sunday at 3 pm in the Promenade lounge. So we can atleast put faces to fonts. LOL Hope to see you there.:woohoo:

Thanks, yes this will be our first time cruising. It will be myself, my husband and my four year old daughter. I booked kinda late, like the end of January and I havent received my cruise documents. Does anyone know if me booking late had anything to do with it?????

Welcome aboard Mommy2Katie! :welcome:

I don't think 1048 is a bad cabin. It's a cat 9, so you have a porthole (or two smaller ones, I'm not sure). We were across the hall last year (1041), and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I admit I preferred deck 7, but don't worry about the location. There are few staterooms there, so it's really quiet, and you're not far from deck 3 and 4. You only have to take the elevators when you're going to deck 9. And you're right by the door when you go to Nassau or Castaway Cay!

For those who booked late, I wouldn't worry too much about your docs. It seems like I'm the only one who got them so far, and I think it is because we live outside the US.

Welcome mom2katie1!!!

I'm planning on doing a self-guided walking tour of Nassau, too. From what I've heard there are a couple of nice ones. I'm not too worried about crime, I've traveled to a lot of places and am fairly savvy of my personal self and belongings. By the port at least there's going to be a high police presence to take care of all us tourists.

I also plan on trying to do the Astrada gardens and pirate museum.

If your mom can't come b/c you could only get a 3 person cabin I know somebody who's going solo and will have an extra bed they could book your mom into. :rolleyes1 They'd just have to check with their TA about adding her.

Thanks so much for all of the offers but I couldn't pay my mom enough money to get on a boat. LOL She wanted to go to Florida... and is so excited about going to Disneyworld afterwards... but there are some friends that she's met on the internet that she's been wanting to meet in person for years and now she's going to.

Glad to hear that our cabin isnt that bad. I am just going to ask at the pier if there is anyway that we can upgrade.

We are so excited about our trip. I guess I won't worry too much about docs.

Just curious... is anyone traveling without a passport?? We were told by the cruise lines that it wasnt required and all we needed was a birth certificate. So we never got one. I know Homeland Security isnt requiring a passport until Summer.

We are from Canada and need to have a passport to fly, so it wasn't a question for us.

With our cruise docs, there was a note stating that US citizens need to present one of the following:
  • Valid, unexpired US passport
  • Original Birth Certificate and guests 18 years and older must present a photo ID issued by a Local, State of Federal Government agency
  • Original Certificate of Naturalization and photo ID...
  • Original Certificate of Citizenship and photo ID...
  • Original Consular Report of Birth Abroad of US Citizen and photo ID...
Copies of any of the above documents are not acceptable.

Guess what? We have two weeks to go! :jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1:

yeah! two weeks!

I've had a passport since I was about 12 years old, so I'll definitely be bringing mine.

You can get on with a Birth Certificate and ID. Just make sure your birth certificate is certified, which you can get done at town offices or something like that.

If you really want to do a passport, if you pay for Expedited shipping you could still get a passport between now and when you leave, but I'd send your stuff in tomorrow!

Will go sooo slowwww. I cant wait to meet all you nice people. I have some alien green Mickeys (going to put one on our cabin door) that I will bring to the promanade for anybody who wants them.

I'm going to start packing today:goodvibes

I started putting things aside for the trip and I'm working on my packing list right now! :surfweb:
